You are correct, compliments of the Democratic controlled Senate of the day.  Should the same thing happen to Trump, I'm quite certain the Republican controlled Senate will reciprocate in kind.  My original point was simply to point out that Russian collusion may be Trump's whitewater and may morph into something else, like campaign finance crimes, i.e. playmate/stormy hush money, just as Clinton's ended with the Monica issue.  It is possible and should be taken seriously, that's all.

It would be a pretty staggering turnabout and an absolute indictment of Trump's presidency if the senate were to flip control......I honestly don't see that happening.  The house on the other hand....

Takes 2/3 vote of Senators to throw a Prez out of office if the House impeaches. So NO WAY that will happen unless there is a massive DemoRat landslide of Senators being elected. Even if the Repubs had been in control during Clinton's glandular problem they would not have had 2/3 majority to remove from office. Just saying.

Agreed....any high crime or misdemeanor would have to be pretty egregious to get 2/3 support.

Congress needs to get off its butt and at a minimum put together a Special Investigation with a Mueller like lead to start sweating some of the perpetrators.  They can start with HRC and then go to Comey.  Invade their homes at midnight and confiscate their computers and cell phones.  Bet you would hear some singing all over DC.
