Sadr said in response to a question by one of his followers about Maliki's visit to Washington and the remarks he made on the possibility of granting immunity to the Americans in Iraq :"On the religious level , the visit is a violation and perversion of religion and belief, as no Shiite Muslim accept to go to America." He stressed that "the visit is in violation of a cleric the religious reference . He called on Maliki to demand the total and immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, and that previliges given to the Us Embassy in Baghdad should be in reciprocity as what regarding the Iraqi Embassy in Washington ". / End http://www.ninanews.com/English/News_Details.asp?ar95_VQ=FJFKGI

uncirculd
Some one needs to take Sadar out deer hunting. Opps i thought it was a deer lol. Fricking loney tune. I volunteer! If Sadr says this is a religious violation, they need to hurry up and recognize that this is called political diplomacy. And Islamic religion has no place in a democracy. Here is where they have a problem. Edited December 13, 2011 by uncirculd

Carrello
I have thought and thought about Sadr, trying to understand his philosphy on life, delving in his religious doctrines, trying to comprehend how history has affected his values, and I have come to only one conclusion that expresses my feeling about Sadr: BITE ME!

CrappieShark
Sadr is obviously the voice of the Islamic religion in Iraq. In other words Sadr is a true Muslim and is high within the cleric of the Muslim religion in Iraq The Shiite Sect. The Iraqi people are almost completely Muslim in belief. I am not sure what religion persuasion everyone has here but it would be like the executive council of your church saying you are associating with evil and making a pact with the devil in doing so. This puts Maliki in a extremely bad light as religion is the biggest thing going there. Bigger than money, oil politics. Like Catholicism in Rome in the Nero days. The popes voice was louder than anybody elses voice. If the Catholic pope was to decide you were evil today no matter who you were you would be a marked man world wide. If you kill this Sadr person because of his voice against evil (in their definition of evil) (this time being associated with or even in America) you make a martyr of him. If good things happen to Iraq because of Malikis visit then it could but probobly will not lighten things up. True Islamic believers hate American and to them we are the great Satan. By the way Barac Obama is a muslim. Just saying :"On the religious level , the visit is a violation and perversion of religion and belief, as no Shiite Muslim accept to go to America." Read more: It would be like in biblical times you had the Pharisees, Saducees, Epicureans, Levitical Priesthood, Levites, High Priests etc. In Muslim religions you have Shiites, Baaths and other Muslims. Remember these people live in Old Testament beliefs where Allah could even speak to them and say kill Americans everywhere no matter where. Kill the women, children, men until none are left alive. That happened often in Old Testament Bible. It is hard for an American to think that way. Other sects of Muslims would allow the Muslims to go to America and try to proselitize the American or get them to convert to Islam. But the Shiites obviously are the more holy and pure type religious believers. Hope this clarifys for everyone.
