  1. Don't you love it when Okie does his "No body likes me. Everybody hates me. I'm gonna go eat worms," routine? I know I do.
  2. So far, Carlyle Group has only made $86B for this year. Earnings seem down a bit from their usual triple digit postings.
  3. I like the part about preferential treatment for women, but it reads better this way, "...Pretty girls just seem to find out early, how to open doors with just a smile." The Eagles
  4. Most people used a shredder these. Don't they have a Staples near by?
  5. See, here's how I view this. This article was written for Iraqi consumption, not ours, and therefore, it's in terms they would understand. Do you really think these thieves loaded up their suitcases with Dinar? Not, a chance. Try US Dollars, Pounds, Euros, or Yen. And, as we all know, they're accepted everywhere. A Trillion Dinar, on the other hand, gets you a very large doorstop. Hopefully, that will soon change.
  6. These guys actually went "the blows" over this. Now that's what I call, Colorful. At least this time nobody jumped up on a desk with a dagger and threatened the other guy with stabbing him like a goat. 'Bout time. Thanks Yota.
  7. Thug, have you been guilty of clowning around again? Have you been spotted running around town in the clown car with someone new? Sounds like you've got a clown on the "aside" you're seeing. Has it changed from, "No one takes me seriously," to "Someone Take Me! Seriously!" Many questions.....many questions..... .....And oh, yeah...I'm betting to wheels come off the budget again...It's called "Predictable Results." (A Quorum of two or more in Iraq will automatically result in a stalemate. )
  8. Great oxymoron title. I'm betting the wheels come off 20 minutes in to the session. But then, that's the GOI.
  9. "There are about 50,000 Jordanian troops working with the United Nations in peacekeeping missions across the world. These soldiers provide everything from military defense, training of native police, medical help, and charity. Jordan ranks third internationally in taking part in UN peacekeeping missions." ref: Wiki You may have something there.
  10. Thursday, 31 May 2012 09:00 | [/url] Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Hussein al-Mousawi, of Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend, showed concerns over difficulty of collecting (164) MPs' signatures to withdraw confidence from the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, due to "Maliki's success to get support of some MPs through bribes and illegal behaviors." Speaking to All Iraq News Agency (AIN), he stated "I have some information that confirms that Maliki has succeeded to convince some MPs by giving them bribes and contracts in order to stay in his post which is unsiutable for him." He accused Maliki of "Paying money to some media outlets too," assuring that "Maliki paid 200 Million Iraqi Dinnars to an official in charge of an Iraqi Satellite Channel operating from Lebanon," without mentioning his name. He stressed the necessity of "Withdrawing confidence from Maliki because the situation does not any longer permits him to be the PM of Iraq," pointing out "Being the PM, the government will be unjust and with more tyranny." /End/ http://www.alliraqne...itical&Itemid=2
  11. Sure looks likes he's picking a fight with the Kurds, while blaming them for it. And he's daring everyone to hand him a vote of no confidence. You will notice there is no mention of any progress on the 9 Point Paper to implement Erbil.....It's conspicuous by it's absence.
  12. Maliki is in Kirkuk today. He will be making speeches. We will need to monitor his remarks and his tone very closely.
  13. I see it as a very nasty move on the part of Maliki, telegraphing his intention NOT to implement The Erbil Agreement. Here's an older article that explains how complicated this all is. I hope it helps. My link
  14. Paved with green glass. How stylish.
  15. Oh! The FORMER Oil Minister has said....mmmmmm. Sounds like he's trying to get his old job back.
  16. I love how The Coalition Of Law rewrites the constitution anytime they like to fit their political ends; ie, Maliki appointing himself as Minister of Interior, Security and Defense, when the constitution states that he must make those cabinet appointments within 30 days of taking office, and then uses the constitution as the very weapon to hold up the passing of Erbil....and for that matter, everything else they don't agree with...like the budget and HCL. JMHO.
