Popular Post rsskelton
To all members, old and new: I have only been amember of this site since January, but have been invested in IQD much longer. Before I joined Dinar Vets I did quite a bit of "shopping " to see which site I was going to join (because at the time there were many). I knew I wanted to be a part of a group, and after spending (months actually) researching this and other sites, I chose Dinar Vets. My reasoning was really very simple. I wanted a site that gave me real, honest to goodness information, news that could be backed up with links, not the pumper guru, rate and date garbage that I had seen during my research of other sites. Don't misunderstand, I enjoy a good rumor as much as the next guy as long as it is kept in perspective (and the rumors section). When however a rumor is purported to be fact wih absolutely no verification, then that (IMO) is taking it to far.........but thats another story. Anyway, I liked the things I read on DV , the people seemed to be honest, factual, and caring. They dug up great news articles (with links), I found that when I had a question, they were more than willing to help. I also really liked the fact that this seemed to be a no B.S. zone. Adam Montana was not on here every day spewing rates and dates. The RV seemed to be happening every Monday on other sites, but not here. Based on all of the above (as well as a few other factors that I didn't mention) I joined this site and Dinar Vets became my home for all things dinar. I even joined VIP ( and am very glad I did). In a relatively short time I got to know a lot of people on this site and even formed numerous friendships. This place was a site I couldnt wait to get to when I would turn on my computer! To all you new folks, as you can see, I am a bit long winded. (LOL). Anyway, I said all of the above to bring me to where I am now. In the past several weeks we have had a large number of new members to join our ranks. In one day alone I counted over 100 new members. I wasn't really surprised as a number of other dinar sites had closed their doors, and if your really into this investment you need a place to go (don't want to be dinar homeless). In addition to transfers from other sites we were also getting members who were totally new to the investment. Point being, it wasn't just the old heads on here anymore, but lots of new people. Now, here comes my point. Finally huh? (lol) My friends, I have never seen such bashing and down right utter rudeness to one another on this site as I have seen in the past three to four weeks. Can you not remember when you were a newbie? I know I can. When I would ask a (stupid) question however, I was not slammed against the wall like so many of these new members have been. Yes, there were several of you who told me to check in the archives and pinned info by Adam and that I should find my answers. You were right about that, but you did it in a caring and helpful manner, not a " go find it yourself idiot" attitude like I am seeing now. We must remember, many of these people are "brand" new. We can tell them where to look without being so hateful. Some of the replies to these people would make me never want to come back and thats not good, because we all need a place to call home, and there is no better place than here, so please, when answering a new member, show a little kindness. You were once in the same spot. Ok, now that I have spoken to my older brothers and sisters, I have a few words for my new ones. How about a little respect from you guys as well? You have stumbled upon the best dinar site on the web, with some of the most knowledgeable people (concerning this investment) that you will ever meet and yet many of you have gotten started on the wrong foot. I have seen some initial posts contain things like RV tomorrow for sure at 3.22. Well, I'd really like to see that link. Or how about ...High level source says.... C'mon guys, this is a site dedicated to staying grounded and telling the truth. I am not trying to be rude as we welcome you with open arms, but if you cant do that, then maybe this isn't the place for you. Now I am not saying we always have to agree. That is never gonna happen, but there is no reason we can not disagree and still retain a level of respect and civility for one another. This entire (long) opinion was intended to say this; "New members, please show a little respect. If you have a question, ask it in the proper manner and I'm sure my brothers and sisters will be more than glad to help. Now as for you my veteran brothers and sisters, CHILL OUT. Sure there will be some dumb questions, but some good ones as well, so lets treat our new brothers and sisters with the respect they deserve as well, and try to remember when we were in their position. Dinar Vets has always been a very special group. A family really. Please, lets keep it that way. You all matter to me. Old and new alike. This site does not need to change. When something is not broke, you don't have to fix it. Now some of you may agree with me, some of you may bash me. Either way it's ok. For those who agree, thanks. For those who don't, I have a pretty thick skin and can handle it. That's all I have to say. I know it was long, and thank you for indulging me. Now, let's get this site back like it should be and all play nice! After all, we are all here ( or should be) for the same reason. Thanks, RSS 32

coldwarvet
Great post, rs! I agree completely. When some of the old timers first joined, there weren't the thousands of posts on this site that there are now. It WAS a lot easier back then to "do your own research before you post." To ask someone to click through all the posts there are today, simply so that there is no old info in a new post is downright unreasonable. If it's an old post, let's cut the newbie poster some slack. JMO. GO RV!
annstyle
Thanks RSS, we are Americans and should act as so. We should be proud of this site and agree or agree to disagree in a polite manner. United we stand or divided we fail like the other sites that went down the drain. We all want the same thing in the end RV. Stand up and help you fellow Americans. Go RV !!!!
Hbomb
This is the first forum I have ever joined in my life, and I did because of the other members. I also watched for a while before I signed up, and I knew right away, you had better not post something foolish. I guess that is the reason I joined. That being said, if you feel there is a need to "bash" someone, don't be so rude. I think there still needs to be a fair amount of "constructive criticism" involved, or there would be too many insufferable posts. Besides, it keeps you on your toes. Go RV.
dinarck
Thanks RSS, I try and welcome the newcomers with open arms unless their first post states that it RVed in the green zone or they come on here and try and become the new morality police. The fact is this is the best site on the net for dinar info and you are correct, newbies as well as oldies should all do their best to get along. I find myself lacking in this area at times and fully comprehend that it is something I need to work on.
txdinargirl
Great post RSS - thanks. I was truly afraid to make my first couple of posts because of all the bashing that was happening. I try to read and learn more than I post. Hopefully your post will help quiet some of the friction that's been happening lately.

10Kdiamond
Thanks RSS. Your post was comforting to read. I had researched many sites before deciding on DV. As a newbie I had been reluctant to post any questions or comments for some time because of concerns of appearing to be an "idiot". But with some trepidation, I did do a couple of them. It really wasn't painful at all. I've enjoyed following all the input of DV participants . . . some of course were good . . . and some not so good. It is with great respect and appreciation for members of DV such as you, to see sensitive, caring comments that create a positive and harmonious outlook on a "goal" we are all attempting to achieve. Keep up the good work.

Jim1cor13
Hi RSS Thanks my friend for taking the time to share this. I totally agree and can only hope that it actually sinks in, but due to the nature of not having to face the one someone is speaking/writing to, it will continue to be a venue for 'internet bullies' and those that often have a superiority complex, believing themselves to be superior to the rest of the members here. Often they do not realize that the rude and belittling comments made show them to be FAR less of a quality human being than those they love to chase after, hunt down and pounce on. The last few weeks, many of the comments I have seen went beyond the line, and continue to do so. When personal attacks or 'taunts' are made, that has crossed the line. Also, there is a small group here who appear to like to target a few and go beyond bashing, and attempt to play games with the plus and minuses also, when it is not at all warranted. Both those that have been here for a long time, and those that have recently become members, share in these games. One also has to remember, *some* have come over here from a few of the fantasy sites with one goal in mind...and that is to cause division and confusion here, where generally, for the most part, we have a wonderful group of people here who are able to think for themselves, and never resort to playing the head games some so enjoy. Many posts also appear to be posted just with the intent to get some drama started. I guess it happens everywhere and is the unfortunate reality of internet forums. I only visit this forum, I came across it and saw quite a bit more realistic attitude for the most part, and have thoroughly enjoyed most of my time here, and have also made some quality friends who i would love to someday meet. For this, I am grateful for. Those that bash are often the very ones that try and accuse others of the same. They have a holier than thou attitude when in reality their own fruit of their actions often betrays their motives. The best way to get control of it is to not feed into it. Then those who can actually have civil and cordial discussions without the childish games will have a much better quality site in which to discuss and share thoughts and ideas. One of the most important things I personally try and live by when posting, is simply say exactly what I would say if I were actually sitting across a table from that person, and having a discussion. Whether I agree with them or not, the attack and belittle syndrome has NO value here. It assists with nothing, other than allowing others to see them for what they are and one can move on without feeding into it. It is also important to stand up in a respectable manner and deal with the garbage that can often be spread here that is often more hurtful than helpful. Lies have yet to benefit anyone other than those that create them, and that only for a short time until people can understand the motives behind them which are often far too easy to spot. The Mods do a great job here, and have a good understanding of when to step in and stop the nonsense. Overall, there is no doubt in my mind, we have the best quality site available in regards to the IQD. Only together can we ensure that it stays that way and does not become just another site full of hype and lies and very disturbing attitudes towards others. Thanks again RSS for your comments. They are very much appreciated my friend All my best! Jim ---
