Shafaq News / Iraq had the fifth largest gross domestic product among the countries of the Middle East and North Africa during the past year 2022, at 270.36 billion dollars.

This came according to a table of the German company (Statista), which specializes in market and consumer data, which was reviewed by Shafaq News Agency.

GDP is an economic indicator that measures the monetary value of the total goods and services produced within the borders of a geographical area (a country, for example) during a specific period of time (a year or half a year, for example). GDP is neither an indicator of social welfare nor of total wealth.

According to the German company, Saudi Arabia ranked first in gross domestic product with $1.1 trillion, followed by the UAE with $507.54 billion, then Egypt third with $475.23 billion, and Iran fourth with $321 billion, while Iraq ranked fifth.

Qatar came sixth with $225 billion, Algeria seventh with $195 billion, Kuwait eighth with $184 billion, Morocco ninth with $138 billion, and Oman tenth with $114 billion.

Hope someday in the the near future we can see the real value of the IQD.

winner winner chicken dinar ..... the same minus the outrages corruption ... Oil and gas account for more than half of GDP for Kuwait and approximately 92 percent of export revenues. The government saves at least 10 percent of revenue annually as a hedge against the impact of lower oil prices, sadly iraq thinks a surplus is bad and needs to be stolen thats been the M.O. to date ... cheers

The term "modus operandi" is a Latin term that describes an individual or group's habitual way of operating, which represents a discernible pattern. A modus operandi (commonly abbreviated as "M.O.") is mainly used to discuss criminal behavior and is often used by professionals to prevent future crimes.
