Iraq.. A truck 'full of money' overturned, and the 'Central Kurdistan' commented on the incident

Baghdad - people

A truck loaded with money overturned in the Jemen area of the Iraqi governorate of Kirkuk, while the Central Bank of the Kurdistan Region denied having any connection with the load.

And Tuesday, the Central Bank of the Kurdistan Region in Sulaymaniyah distanced itself from the truck that was overturned in a traffic accident and it was found that it contained a load of money, according to the "Al-Hurra" website, quoting local media.

The bank said in a statement that "the salaries and dues for the region were not sent directly from Baghdad to Sulaymaniyah," denying any connection with the truck load.

On Tuesday, a truck carrying money belonging to the Ministry of Finance overturned on the road linking the provinces of Kirkuk and Sulaymaniyah, according to a local news site.

According to the site, the armored truck belonged to the Iraqi Federal Ministry of Finance, and was loaded with money. As a result of its overturning, the driver and two security personnel accompanying the truck were seriously injured.

The site quoted an unnamed informed source as saying that a special force from the National Security Forces was directed to protect the truck.

Shafaq News/ Today, Tuesday, the Central Bank of Kurdistan Region in Sulaymaniyah distanced itself from a wheel that some websites reported that it had been overturned in a traffic accident, and it was found that it contained a load of money.

A statement from the bank, received by Shafaq News agency, stated that the wheel that was carrying sums of money had been overturned. That "a number of pages and media institutions reported news about the overturning of a vehicle to transfer money in the Jemen area of Kirkuk Governorate, and claimed that the vehicle was carrying money coming from Baghdad to transfer it to the Central Regional Bank in Sulaymaniyah."

The statement indicated that it announces to the public opinion and all the media that any sums in the name of salaries or wheat dues of the region's farmers were not sent directly from Baghdad to Sulaymaniyah, indicating that that haste that was mentioned has nothing to do with the central regional bank in Sulaymaniyah.
