Shafaq News/ The President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, is scheduled to visit this week to the capital, Baghdad, and the city of Najaf.

A source in the presidency of the region told Shafaq News Agency, that President Nechirvan Barzani carries, during this visit, the initiative of Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani to solve the current political crisis that the country is going through.

The political scene in Iraq has been going through a dangerous turn since supporters of the Sadrist movement led by prominent Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr stormed the parliament building in the fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad, and staged a sit-in in protest against Al-Sudani's nomination for the position of head of the next federal government.

The Sadrist bloc had obtained the highest votes in the early legislative elections that took place in October of 2021, but the efforts of the leader of the current failed to form the new federal government due to the Shiite coordination framework standing in its way by obtaining a fatwa from the Federal Court with the so-called blocking third in a contract The session for electing the President of the Republic, which paves the way for naming the Prime Minister.

The three-way alliance between the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Masoud Barzani, the Sovereignty Alliance headed by Khamis al-Khanjar, and the Sadrist movement led by Muqtada al-Sadr was broken following the resignation of the Sadrist bloc's deputies, and the movement's withdrawal from the political process by order of al-Sadr.

The political scene is living in a crisis situation and a dead end unprecedented in the history of Iraq, as more than 300 days have passed since the early elections without being able to form a new government in the country, and the survival of the caretaker government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi.

On the tenth of last October, Iraq held early legislative elections to get out of a political crisis that swept the country after large demonstrations in the central and southern regions in 2019 in protest against the widespread unemployment in society, the spread of financial and administrative corruption in government departments and institutions, and the deteriorating reality The service and the livelihood, which prompted the former prime minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, to resign under popular pressure.

As soon as the preliminary results of the elections were announced, the voices of political forces and actors rose in their rejection of losing many seats, accusing them of major fraud in the ballot, which was denied by the executive and judicial authorities, at a time when the United Nations and international organizations praised the integrity of the electoral process.

Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - An informed source said today, Sunday, that the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, will visit the federal capital, Baghdad, and the city of Najaf.

An informed source told Kurdistan 24 that Nechirvan Barzani is carrying with him President Barzani's initiative to rid Iraq of the political stalemate.

The source did not specify the date of the visit of the President of the Kurdistan Region to Baghdad.

Despite the passage of 10 months since the Iraqi parliamentary elections, the political forces were unable to form a new government.

The Sadrists have been protesting for about a month in front of the House of Representatives to prevent the coordination framework from forming the government, while the frameworks have been holding a sit-in since August 12 on a road leading to the Green Zone through the suspension bridge in Baghdad.

On August 10, al-Sadr demanded the dissolution of Parliament within a week, but the judiciary later said that it did not have this authority. The Federal Court is expected to hold a hearing within three days to consider that claim.

The silliness of humans and politics. Often we humans think we can solve problems, directly. By agreements on complex issues. Silly rabbits. I grew up watching the Middle East, Arabs and Israelis fighting endlessly, no hope in sight. Then the Trump Administration came along, ignored conventional wisdom of dumb people who never solved anything but think they're smart, Trump ignored so called "solving" the Palestinian problem. Instead he put in place the Abraham accords that helped fix some basic economic issues, giving people better lives. Jared Kushner pushed this along. Worked well. He should have gotten a Nobel Peace Prize. You Americans had a great President. Half the country never noticed, because he truly was the most problematic person ever...lol. You elected a Troll Genius who loved to live in your head, rent free...lmao...still funny.

The truth is humans have endless grievances, most of which bore me to death. Don't care. Well, not exactly don't care. More like, there is only so much room in my email inbox. After that, it's all spam. :jester:

Cultures have endless grievances, most of which bore me to death. Don't care. Too much spam. A wise rabbi once said, "What is central to you, is peripheral to all others."

Same with Iraq. Endless boring grievances. What's the truth? Truth is, no one cares about those grievances. Truth is, those grievances don't matter. No one cares. Well OK, maybe your mother and God. :praying: And your mother, only on a good day. :reading1:

Truth is, the way to get over most grievances, is to forget the past, have a better happier life, move into the future. That means practical things: more money, more freedom, more opportunity, maybe a new car? That's certainly is what has worked in my life, would work anywhere, is my opinion.

I like the look of these two leaders. They don't seem as much, buried in the past.

Same story everywhere on this planet. People really need to 'get over themselves' in life. Suffering is universal. So is injustice. I'm sure Kurds have had lots, dished out lots. Same with the other ethnic groups in Iraq. Jesus said it best: "Let the dead bury the dead." Luke 9:59 ⚰️

There is more wisdom in having fun.

Endlessly exhausting & boorish isn't it. 20 years, nothing but graft, corruption & talk...no problem solving evident... they masterfully CREATE problems & crisis on every level so although it might appear this or that was narrowly averted: it's all window dressing isn't it. These are some deeply despicable criminal politicians.

Agree! Why is it that we've seen this over and over again, And everytime Barzani goes to Bagdad, he leaves with NOTHING RESOLVED! I get so damn aggravated! I can't imagine how the Iraqi people feel. I've said before and i'll say it again, politics are the ultimate evil in this world and greed and corruption are here to stay forever. We the people, are doomed and what is happening now all over the world, is the sign we dreaded would happen in our lifetime. Greed! Greed! Greed!

You would think that the average Kurdish with half a brain could figure out that all these trips to Baghdad is just for show.
Barzani will travel to Baghdad this month and the PM ever that would be will travel to Irbil the next month.
You would think this would be exhausting after awhile but hey, you gotta do whatever it takes to manipulate the sheep…

Revealing new details of Barzani's initiative

{Politics: Al-Furat News} The independent politician, Ibrahim Al-Dulaimi, revealed new details of the initiative of the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, to resolve the current crisis and end the political impasse.

Al Dulaimi said; For the “Al-Mastra” program, broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel tonight, that: “The initiative sought by the Sovereignty Alliance and its discussion with Kurdistan Democratic Party Chairman Massoud Barzani took place more than two weeks ago to resolve the political blockage and we came out with recommendations and I believe that its outputs will be presented before the 30th of this August.”
He pointed out that "the Sovereignty Alliance was surprised, after these studies and outputs, by the last position of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Mr. al-Sadr, and it was a great shock to him. Disrupting Parliament will cause a deficit in spending on electricity and salaries, and Barzani's initiative calls for evacuating the vicinity of the Parliament from the demonstrators."
Al-Dulaimi continued, "The agreement between sovereignty, Barzani and the Patriotic Union calls for specific parliamentary sessions to discuss articles in the constitution, including 28, 65, 76, 140, 9 and 14, and to resolve the controversy of the file of the largest bloc. After completing its discussion, another session will be held to vote on the laws of {oil, gas, disputed areas, parties, the Federal Court and elections} This is the core of the problem and points of contention."
And he indicated, "The initiative also includes defining the government program and electing the prime minister from the largest bloc, provided that the elected bears the responsibility for choosing the government cabinet in accordance with the constitutional amendment," adding that "the coordinating framework represents the largest bloc currently after the withdrawal of the Sadrist movement."
Al-Dulaimi added, "According to the initiative, the next government will establish a conditional electoral phase, and it will also be obligated to make constitutional amendments and set a time limit for early elections from a year to a year and a half."
And he indicated, "In the event of disagreement on these items, it will have dire consequences for the people in terms of food ration and health; but the contacts regarding the initiative are currently intense and within the next 24 hours the head of the regional government will be in Baghdad and in-depth meetings will take place, as the sovereignty and the Kurds are keen on the success of the initiative to resolve the crisis."

Democrat: Dissolving the parties is a demand that is not realistic, and Barzani's initiative requires the approval of the current and the framework

{Politics: Al-Furat News} A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party described the dissolution of the parties as "unrealistic," while stressing that Massoud Barzani's initiative had halted the approval of the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement.

Sobhi Al-Mandulai said; For the program {Al-Mastra}, broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel, said: "Things have reached a very dangerous stage today that may overthrow all the political process and go to chaos. Therefore, an initiative must be taken to solve the crisis."
He added, "The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, will head the Kurdish delegation to Baghdad and Al-Hanana during the next two days. The dissolution of the parties is practically very difficult and not realistic. The government cannot be devoid of a participating element, and everyone feels the necessity of dialogue."
Al-Mandalawi added, "I think Barzani's initiative will have a positive resonance to resolve the crisis, and Mr. Sadr is not against dialogue, but wants guarantees for any agreement," adding, "The Democrat's initiative depends on the approval of the framework and the movement on its terms to pass this stage."
He stressed, "The Kurdistan region is keen on the stability of Iraq in general, and we have many files that we need to solve with Baghdad, and the most dangerous thing is that the country is exposed to chaos."
Al-Mandalawi promised the initiative, "a last chance to get out of the crisis, otherwise it means going to the unknown and escalation will harm even the Sadrist movement."

The leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ahmed Al-Harki, commented today, Saturday, on the call of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, to dissolve parliament, while confirming the existence of two tracks to respond to the last call.

Al-Harki said: “Al-Sadr’s latest initiative is not directed at the Patriotic Union Party, but rather with the former allies, namely the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Alliance of Sovereignty,” and it is likely that “a meeting will take place between the Party and the Sovereignty to study this initiative.”

He added, "There are two possibilities: First, and in the event that it is agreed to dissolve Parliament or withdraw from it, the sessions of the House of Representatives must return, given that the dissolution of Parliament through the Federal Court has ended, and it will be according to Article 64 of the Constitution, that is, through members of the House of Representatives."

Al-Harki continued his speech: "If there is a desire to dissolve parliament, whether from the democratic, sovereign or other parties within the coordination framework, it will be through political dialogues and the return of parliament sessions, then the matter will be discussed."

The leader of the National Union explained that "the second possibility, according to the indicators and the positions of the two parties, indicates that they do not want to withdraw from Parliament, but rather are heading towards forming the next government."

And Al-Harki, "The priorities of the party and the sovereignty may differ from the Sadrist movement, especially there are files related to the Kurdistan region. There must be a strong Kurdish bloc in Baghdad. As for the Sunni forces, there is the file of the liberated areas and the displaced, in addition to the priorities of some parties of the coalition and the demands of the masses of the Sunni community may You diverge from Al-Sadr’s call.”

He pointed out that "some parties within the Sovereignty Alliance, such as the Progress Party headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi, and in the event that early elections take place, may not have obtained the same good results that they achieved in the last elections, and therefore this may rule out proceeding with the invitation of the leader of the Sadrist movement."

However, he added: "The real political movement will appear after the fortieth visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and perhaps after that the scene will become clearer in the political process."

Adviser: Muqtada al-Sadr remains silent, and mediations by political forces are untrue

Baghdad - people

The head of the Iraqi Consultative Council, Farhad Alaeddin, said on Thursday that there are no mediations between the political forces and the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, pointing out that the latter is still silent to this day.

He pointed out that "the Shiite scene: the framework meets and confirms: the Sudanese are their only candidate and there is no renewal of the current government," noting that "while the differences in the positions of the leaders of the framework continue: there are those who want the position for themselves, and those who want to satisfy al-Sadr, and those who want to proceed without waiting." .

He added, "There is ambiguity about the movement of the upcoming Sadrist movement, and the leader's tweets have stopped."

Regarding the Kurdish scene, he stated that "the summit meeting between Barzani and Talabani did not result in resolving differences over the elections, Kirkuk, and the presidency," noting that "the Kurdish forces are studying the framework paper for entering the next government, and the points of contention remain Kirkuk, oil and gas."

He explained that "there is no change in the Sunni scene, and that their negotiations focus on the ministries, the displaced and the cliff."

He stressed that "there are expectations about holding a session on September 27 to elect the first deputy, followed by a session to elect the president of the republic and assign the candidate of the largest bloc, and speculation about the formation of the next government ranges between two weeks and two months."

He concluded by saying that "the framework is incapable of making a decision, and the international lobby is working in full swing to change the course."

A member of Fatah reveals the agenda of Al-Amiri's visit to Najaf and meeting with Mr. Al-Sadr

{Politics: Al Furat News} A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Al-Fatlawi, revealed Hadi Al-Amiri's agenda to Najaf and meet the leader of the Sadrist movement, Mr. Al-Sadr.

Al-Fatlawi said; For the program {Al-Mastra} broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel tonight, that: “The language of dialogue is the real one that gets Iraq out of the predicament, especially after Mr. Al-Sadr agreed to conduct it, and it was agreed to have a tripartite dialogue with Mr. Al-Sadr; Its positivity is the acceptance of the other side for dialogue."
He added, "The Elections Law and the Commission are the two current points of contention between the coordination framework and the current, and the framework has proven certain things, the most important of which is the formation of a government to give a breakthrough to the crisis, and it needs a financial side to hold the next elections.
Al-Fatlawi continued, "Ajda Al-Amiri from the framework in the meeting of Al-Hanana holds the formation of the government and a prime minister and provides guarantees to Mr. Al-Sadr to conduct the elections and change the commission and the framework authorized him to do so, and the Sunnis authorized Al-Halbousi and the Kurds as well as authorized Nechirvan Barzni, and negotiations with Mr. Al-Sadr will be unanimous."
He pointed out that "the situation in Iraq depends on the formation of a full-fledged government, and we seek to resolve the existing problems through dialogue in the coming days. The Sunni and Kurdish forces are keen on a dialogue that leads to the formation of the government."
And Al-Fatlawi, "The framework will not marginalize any of the political parties and its project is based on consensus, partnership and balance, and it is currently pressing towards resuming parliament sessions to conduct the work of parliamentary committees and not keep them idle to take their oversight role."
He returned by saying, "
Regarding Al-Sudani’s meeting with the deputies, Al-Fatlawi said, “The framework’s candidate for prime minister presented his government program transparently and came at the request of the deputies and presented his paper that emphasized the economy and services at the invitation of parliamentarians. As for the framework, he chose Al-Sudani based on his specifications and seeks dialogue under the framework of the law and the constitution.” .
Al-Fatlawi concluded, with scenarios 10/1, by saying, "All demonstrations are against the government, not to topple a state, and the 2022 scenario will not be repeated, but there is a memory of October, which took its work inside the House of Representatives with its representatives."
