If the State of Law party insists on Maliki being their candidate for Prime Minister and they keep stalling till the 15th, it will come to a vote before the entire Parliament. Maliki will be voted out by The Union and the SOL will no longer exist as a party in Iraq.

My strong belief is that The SOL will refuse to nominate M for a 3rd term. Iran does not want to lose their only political influence in Iraq but wants to protect Maliki because he has soooo many files on their terrorist activities in Iraq. Iran will make it look like they support M right up to the 15th and deny they dropped support for him.

A good analogy is a man has his foot trapped on a railroad track and he hears a train coming. He pulls and tugs but cannot free his foot. He remembers he has a sharp knife and cuts his foot off and frees himself right before the train rushes by......that's my 2 fills after watching the Middle Eastern mind-set for several years.
