Baghdad / Orr News

A source senior diplomat from Washington for the White House to give the green light to the President of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, to take over as president of the republic rather than Jalal Talabani, who lay in a German hospital for treatment.

The source said that "the White House took this action despite the strong rejection by the Sunni component and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki." He explained that "the Kurdish delegation that visited the United States recently made a number of demands, including the idea of Barzani's assumption of the presidency of the Republic to surround al-Maliki through the agreement with Parliament Speaker Osama Najafi, who also sharply at odds with the prime minister." The source pointed out that "the first action to be taken by Barzani after assuming the presidency of the Republic is to withdraw confidence from Maliki before the end of the year to prevent the next parliamentary elections which in the post of prime minister."

Barzani also visited the US latel because he's decorating his palace that he bought there last year. :D

Kurds and the US are very tight. Does not surprise me that they are backing him.  More to the puzzle unveils all the time. ;)

If they kick Maliki out, the government won't be complete again. I am afraid this could slow down the process of what we want. I wonder who they have backstage ready to push forward. Anybody know?

Did you see that new budget? Obummer wants more tax money to spend more with no, none, nada, cuts. He says there are cuts but that 's hidden or described as no increases. This guy is a socialist markist through and through.

And I agree, He and his cabinet of thieves I'm sure are plotting to steal our money at CE somehow.

There, I feel better now

Go RV

Well, according to the unverified report, it would be Barzani.  I still can't find this story anywhere except for Dinar-related websites, so I will remain skeptical until it hits a reputable news site.

Also, I'm in agreement that a change like this would cause further delay - if not outright halt permanently that which we would hope to see.  There are some who probably see this is in the opposite way, however, that there could be no RV without a change like this.  Just shows how much there is still to learn.

It's one thing for the U.S. government to make a statement like this; it's a whole different thing for the Iraqis to actually put Barzani in office.

I guess we'll find out how much influence/say the U.S. government actually has in the affairs of the GOI "soon".

I will say this.....it blows me away that the Iraqis haven't made any kind of move to replace Talabani at this point. I don't think anyone needs a medical degree to see that he is unable and will be unable to perform the duties of his position, and that has been true since his stroke back in December. 80-year old diabetics that are obese and smoke don't bounce back from strokes very readily, if at all.

Unless you expect to see people in the US become TRILLIONAIRES in USD by this Dinar RV, expected tax monies won't be very much by governing standards.  While I imagine there are plenty of people in the US who have invested beyond 5 million IQD, I think the vast majority are in it for less.  Expected taxes won't be in the billions or even in the high hundreds of millions USD, so I sincerely doubt the tax money is being salivated over by our government.

(Generally, I choose not to defend or bash a sitting Administration so my comment here is not meant with either intention)
