President Barack Obama told leaders at the annual National Prayer Breakfast Thursday that he hopes they maintain the bipartisan spirit a little longer. He also said he prays for humility in Washington and mentioned some variation of the word “humble” eight times in his speech.

In a democracy as big and as diverse as ours, we will encounter every opinion. And our task as citizens — whether we are leaders in government or business or spreading the word — is to spend our days with open hearts and open minds; to seek out the truth that exists in an opposing view and to find the common ground that allows for us as a nation, as a people, to take real and meaningful action. And we have to do that humbly, for no one can know the full and encompassing mind of God. And we have to do it every day, not just at a prayer breakfast.

Fine words (although we aren’t a “democracy”), but comment below: Do you think the president is generally humble or arrogant? Conjure up some Greek columns in your mind while you answer.

LAUGHABLE! Of course we all know that when he says he prays for humility he is talking about everyone else, not himself. He prays that everyone else would have humility and bow to him. Please........

Not once does he mention himself when praying for humility.............................surprize. He's way to busy praising himself ala Stuart Smalley

I know it's 4 years away, but I can't wait for the day we don't have to see his face and listen to him on TV. I have to turn the channel when he shows up on the screen. The image of him standing (with the Mrs.) left hands over their chests instead of right hands over their hearts is burned in my mind. Not sure I could stand the thought of Hillarious running for prez either, especially after 8 years of O-bozo. Time to RV, cash out, move to Canada. :(

Ok, lets be brutally honest.........I didn't vote for him but ........for some people (not including myself), there isn't anything he could do that would be right in their opinion, which leads me to believe it isn't his policies they detest......they just flat don't like him. So what does that say for these good christian people?

Ok, lets be brutally honest.........I didn't vote for him but ........for some people (not including myself), there isn't anything he could do that would be right in their opinion, which leads me to believe it isn't his policies they detest......they just flat don't like him. So what does that say for these good christian people?

There isn't any thing he can do right E A . He`s intentionally bringing this once great nation to its knees. Yes I flat do not like him.

He is a socialist bent on bring this country in to a new age of socialism that is his agenda and his policies reflect that.

id love it if he does something right . he said he could fix our economy ,, if he didnt have it done in 3 years ... he would be a one term president .. i dont dislike him.. he simply doens have the knowlege to fix this mess ,, afain its not his fault theres so many dumb people in the united states thatwould vote for such nonsense .. but theres is .. i like to point out to those who voted for him .. what they voted for .. obama isnt here .. but i see hes praying for humility .. well if he wants me to humiliate him .. tell him to stop by .. ill humiliate hm

As a christian we are not supposed to hate anyone but when the wolf in sheeps clothing

First of all, I never claimed to be a perfect christian, however I am a christian and as such try not judge anyone. I think if you believe in the bible, the word of God, that you would have to believe that God loves Mr Obama as surely as he loves you. Because we are all his children. Therefore, although I do not like his policies, or his politics, I don't believe he is monster that some on this site claim him to be. And by the way, you ask which God he summoned? There is only one God.

I am a Christian, and I don't like Obama, not for any other reason than the fact that his actions show complete disrespect for the Constitution for which he took an oath to uphold. He placed his hand on a bible and LIED! His plan was to

"Fundamentaly Transform ( Destroy) America", ......to what? A Socialist country! No, I will not apologize for disliking Obama. He is out to destroy the country I love. I for one did not want my country "transformed", especially by an America hating president. As a Christian I have to Love my fellow man, that includes Obama, but I SURE don't have to like him. I pray that God will get ahold of that man and radically transform HIM!
