  1. Can We Be Realistic Momentarily? Reluctantly, I have to agree with UNCS’ post sarcastically entitled “By Lunch Time We SHOULD Be Millionaires.” At the beginning of this week, I questioned whether we would be in trouble if the RV failed to occur before the protests began, given the situation in Iraq and virtually the entire Middle East. As feared, it appears that these demonstrations are in some cases already becoming violent after only the first few hours. For many reasons, this was easy to predict, and undoubtedly expected by government officials. Had the RV been as close as most of our tens of thousands of various website members wanted to believe, logic dictates that there would have been no better time to announce it than BEFORE these protests were to begin. Obviously there is no way of predicting what the eventual outcome will be, but it’s safe to say that at the very least, government, social, and economic stability will suffer a severe setback in terms of time. At worst, the limited progress made over the past 12 months could completely unravel. The entire region is a powder keg, and we can be sure that many different insurgent and terrorist factions will take full advantage of every opportunity to benefit from the chaos. Only time will tell what good or bad will result in the end, as each country could easily be different. Given the state of the world economy over the last 12 months (and longer), had the RV been a realistic option or plan, one can be reasonably certain that the U.N., I.M.F., W.T.O. and even the U.S. would have done much more to have influenced or even “caused” its implementation by now, if not long ago. It is our understanding that only the I.M.F. has the actual power to “force” a revaluation, but we all know that the other 3 entities are undeniably in a position to have pushed it to happen. The fact that so many different extremely important issues have taken so incredibly long to resolve, let alone the RV itself, is an indication that we should be more than a little bit suspicious of the fact that virtually EVERY SINGLE ONE of the thousands of rumors (lies) which we’ve heard to date have been wrong. There simply HAS to be a reason for the constant bombardment of BS. Only a fool would believe that these are “coincidences,” or simply because “this is Iraq” as the pumpers would have us believe. One or two false alarms might be possible, but thousands? I think not. Intel doesn't work that way. Even the worst source of intel is never ALWAYS wrong. Maliki is now many weeks past the constitutional and parliamentary deadline for the seating of the final ministerial positions. How difficult could it be to appoint these individuals when something so incredibly important is supposedly hanging in the balance? These are not lifetime positions, or even contractual. They serve at the whim of the Prime Minister, and can be replaced at will. He could easily agree to Mickey Mouse being seated in his cabinet and replace him at a later date. Yet the impasse continues without consequence. The issues of de-dollarization, election law, election, court decisions, government formation, budget, strategic council, contracts, HCL, etc. are but a few of the many issues on which our RV has allegedly hinged. Virtually every one of them could have and undoubtedly would have resolved much more quickly had there been such an urgent need. All of these, and many more, were reasons given for the RV having to occur, and by a particular imaginary deadline. Another issue which has concerned me for a long time now is the completely unrestricted exportation of literally billions of dinars each and every month for at least the last five years by the Trade Bank of Iraq and others to currency dealers around the world. If a government and central bank had a plan to revalue their currency, is it logical to permit this to occur when each of these dinars, currently valued at less than 1/10th of a cent are expected to magically turn into 1-3+ DOLLARS upon RV? No matter how one looks at it, a rational person would have to believe that they would make at least SOME effort to limit these numbers. Obviously it wouldn’t be possible to “eliminate” the flow, but they could undoubtedly reduce it by at least 90% or more. We’ve been told many times that they’ve done this, and yet the flow continues unabated. The only thing which has limited the SUPPLY of dinars is the overwhelming DEMAND created by the pumpers. One would think, that if and when they were to decide to RV, they would logically have to devise a method by which to limit the exchange of this unfathomably large number of “old” dinars for new ones at such a drastically inflated rate. At this point, the numbers are absolutely mind boggling…….millions of investors, each holding literally millions of dinars. That math is WAY over the head of the average CPA……and this is but the tip of the iceberg. The truth is that Iraq is gaining literally millions of dollars or more every month thru the sale of dinars and the promotion/continuation of the RV scenario. They are in effect receiving incredible interest-free loans from the investors who unfalteringly believe that their investment of as little as $1,000 will make them instant millionaires if they simply patiently wait for the imminent RV. Meanwhile the dealers earn approximately $200-$300 on every million they sell, and will make at least that much again if the investors are ultimately forced to exchange back to U.S. Dollars. I could go on, but there’s little need. When I first got into this several years ago, I believed that there might be a “remote” possibility that this RV fantasy might materialize. As I’ve gained knowledge and experience, and more importantly, having witnessed the amazingly well orchestrated campaign to keep the hope alive, my confidence has eroded significantly. I’m not certain that ALL hope is lost. There may still be time for Maliki and company to pull the proverbial rabbit out of their hats, but it seems unlikely. Meanwhile, as usual, we wait. Many people erroneously believe the dinar to be a “worthless” currency. This is simply untrue. It has no less value than many other successful world currencies. Value is totally relative. The issue with the dinar is that it must become “tradable,” and that can happen with or without the RV. The “dollar” value of the dinar may very well increase over time as conditions and GDP improve, but it doesn’t necessarily “HAVE” to. The number of dinars required to purchase a particular item is irrelevant, as long as it is no higher than the equivalent amount of another country’s currency. Yet another fallacy is the constant comparison of the Iraqi Dinar to that of Kuwait. The RI of the Kuwaiti Dinar is not even remotely comparable to the situation in Iraq. Pumpers continuously and successfully make this assertion, but research will quickly show that this comparison is fraudulent at best. There is absolutely no similarity whatsoever. The situation in Kuwait was a result of the theft of huge quantities of KWD's and their printing plates by Saddam's invading army. The devaluation was temporary, until new currency was designed and distributed. No one can say that the RV will never occur, but I think it’s time to acknowledge that the available evidence would lead a rational individual to believe that the hope we’ve been sold is clearly much less than a sure thing. I don’t know that I would recommend that anyone sell their dinars, as the 40-50% loss would be a substantial one, and should this phenomenon happen to occur at some point, there’d be no forgiving ourselves had we made the decision to sell. That being said, I think it has become increasingly evident that everyone should be very prudent in the subsequent expenditure of their time and money regarding the fascinating adventure which is the Iraqi Dinar. It's certainly been an interesting experience, even if repeatedly disappointing. Bash if it makes you feel better, but I don’t believe anyone can rationally dispute this analysis. I sincerely hope that Iraq proves it to be in error, and SOON! My intent is to help those who might be new, or easily swayed to research and consider all available information before making decisions.

  2. IMHO if I was M or S and I was planning to RI/RV my currency so that my people would become financially "liberated" after so many years of suffering under one regime after another, then I would have made sure that it would be on the top of my agenda of things to do. I know many will say (in answer to what I just stated) that there are a series of "steps" that need to be followed before that final big momentous event (RI/RV) happens. Since I invested in the IQD, like all/most of us, I accepted that these steps were required and so I followed all of the steps, one by one, with great expectation that once that "next step" was accomplished we would see the great event by Sunday (or Monday or Tuesday, etc) as predicted by the many self proclaimed experts, gurus and well sourced individuals that command these many IQD sites. I consider myself to be a fairly clear thinking and not so easily swayed person. I still believe that my decision to invest in the IQD to be a reasonable risk to take as I accept that the fundamentals towards justifying an eventual RI/RV makes real commercial sense (and I invested in an amount that I can afford to lose). But, NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANY MORE. If M or S (or whoever is responsible to pulling the RI/RV trigger) truly intended to do it then: why would they allow its people to hit the streets to protest their dissatisfaction of what is NOT happening for them? why would they allow their security forces to "kill" some of the protestors (BBC says 11) on Friday (it took only one death in Tunisia for that govt. to ultimately collapse)? why would they see it necessary to block protestors in gaining access to the centre of Baghdad? I am certain that everyone of the questions above can be reasonably answered but the reality of what is going on in other ME countries is very very real. The average blue collar Arab has finally awakened. They are finally seeing the power of their combined voices enmassed on the streets. They have become enpowered to demand real results from their leaders. A tsumani of people power has been unleashed in the ME that cannot now be reversed. Their voice will be heard or changes will be imposed. M or S (or whoever is responsible to pulling the RI/RV trigger) know this!!! Yet they allowed their people to join the other ME countries in showing their dissatisfaction by protesting marches. Any reasonable man would have thought that this would have been the perfect opportuntiy to show its people (and indeed the rest of the ME) how Iraq is a model nation, how its people are being cared for, how its a beacon of democracy in the ME by enpowering its people, especially when its neighbors are fighting its own. Yet, they allowed this perfect PR opportunity to slip through their hands?? Makes no sense!! If you really intended to bless your people with a RI/RV, which would be extremely well received, then why would you allow your people to protest, get beaten, shot at, water hosed, killed??? It just does not add up!! I am really beginning to doubt why I am here? IMHO.....NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANY MORE!! Be blessed all Joe .

  3. Hello, So about two weeks ago I posted this topic and got bashed left and right and as we see I was right and I also saw another post on here that said the same thing and he also got bashed and negetive responses. So for all the people who live in LA LA land and only like positive news there won't be an RV anytime soon because of the unrest especially now with what happened in Iraq. What we are seeing now in the ME it is historic and that is something that some people here think has nothing to do with the RV but you guys are wrong. The ME is not a logical place and I have read many posts on here trying to rationlize the events and why the rv has to take place and why it is not taking place. As a middle eastern I can say one thing all these logical thinking and opinions of yours is fine and dandy but you can't use logic for a part of the world where logic does not play a role and events are unpredictable. It is difficult to explain but the ME is very complex and people must realize that there are many issues facing this RV and some are not logical! Now I can say one thing RV will happen but not anytime soon. I have said this before and will repeat Iran is a major player in the RV decesion and Iran is also experiancing unrest so until the unrest is settled NO RV!! Bash away but this is the truth. Be well and stay real.

  4. Like most folks in this country, I had a job. I worked, they paid me. I paid my taxes & the government distributed my taxes as it saw fit. In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I was required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem). What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I had to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT----doing drugs while others work. Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"! Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though. Something has to change in this country - AND SOON! P.S. Just a thought, all politicians should have to pass a urine test too! Lord knows they wouldn't pass an IQ test!!!

  5. Good evening Family, The NOISE …….was good. The first report I gave you today covered up until 10am Iraqi time. It was a slow progression to the demonstrations. Within the perimeter of Baghdad the demonstrations were nothing compared to those occurring outside of it. Because of that ……..it is our opinion that M has once again repositioned himself to his advantage. Is this good for our investment? Well first of all……..many of the articles released today were actually describing activities that have occurred throughout the week……..not just today. You can read them and conclude that Iraq is in disarray. It is our opinion that what happened today is good for our investment. Let’s talk about it. Iraqi TV said ………that the citizens in general were well behaved and cooperative. Of course there were sporadic incidents and some deaths but not the WWIII catastrophe anticipated by many. When M was on TV this afternoon…..he looked like the cat that had swallowed the canary. Either that or it was his tongue in cheek as he told the cameras ……..I am so proud of Iraqis I wish to thank them and our police…… our military who helped our country. “HELPED OUR COUNTRY?” That is a huge statement. He wanted to praise Iraqis for not allowing the Ba’ath’s to rile up their emotions by ……..HELPING THEM. M’s smile on TV covered many miles of his country. He looked and sounded victorious. The TV interviewed some Iraqis in the streets and two things that were consistent in their voices was the constant repetition that they want their economy and currency to be strong!!! M said to them that he wants to give them all that they are asking for to make them happy. Well logic says …….give them the two things they are asking for today and they certainly will be happy won’t them M? Don’t you dare tease anymore and here is why. Iraqis told the TV that they will continue to do these demonstrations one per month until M gives them what they want. IMO……the violence will escalate every time they have to do this. Yet……security increased today …….BECAUSE IRAQIS HELPED THEIR GOVERNMENT. That is a completely different pattern starting as of today. It’s called cooperation. Yes Mosul had some offices burned but M actually told this city’s officials to leave. Guess what……during the NOISE …….they left. It was either that or the people would have removed M. Same thing in Basra …….governors were forced to resign. M said on TV that he talked to four or five cities and asked their LEADERS TO RESIGN. Hmmm………..what did we tell you Monday on our CC that would happen during the NOISE of the demonstration? Now do you understand? Sewers had to be cleaned and ………MANY were. Now check this out. The Iraqis when talking about these two cities screamed to the camera men ……..”WE ARE IRAQIS……..WE DO NOT DO THAT!!!” As much as the Iraqis are displeased with M and their government notice that they love their country and are willing to work with their stubborn leaders to bring forth two things…….ECONOMIC REFORM AND VALUE TO THE IQD. M told the TV that an al-Qaeda leader was captured today……and he thanked them for not COOPERATING with them. IMO today was a wake up call for M and the GOI Family. While the demonstrators also talked about oil and jobs M on TV told them that their ration cards will not be ready for another two months. He asked for patience and told them that in lieu of this he would give them 15,000 IQD’s this coming Sunday. Sunday …….hmmm? I want to see a complete GOI announced to the world M and so do the Iraqi citizens. But……M hints that GOI spots are still being fought for and that he will give the three remaining ministers this Sunday too. Yes without a doubt M was very happy today on Iraqi TV. Smiles…..a dime a dozen. Thanking and praising the Iraqi people for HELPING HIM. Be careful Family………DELTA wants you to be aware that articles are simply exaggerating right now. You will see more still shots than video of what happened today. M is smarter than Yogi Bear and knows how to control …….cameras. TV said that T was in KU today….let’s see what comes of that tomorrow. I could talk to you forever Family but I have grandchildren to play with. Overall the demonstration today caused some destruction and loss of life. But it asked two important questions during the NOISE. Let’s see if M can answer these two questions soon. This Sunday we pray to see the GOI. We already have the budget for the GOI but we do not have a …….COMPLETE GOI ANNOUNCED TO THE WORLD. They even tricked me and took me to 9.95. Fine…….but you and I are like S……..we all await this mystical GOI to come forth so that S can give them value to the IQD. It is what S said and I have always told you how much I believe in the gentleman known as……..Shabibi. IMO …..the demonstration today can only help our investment. Bonding was formed today between the GOI and their people. Even if it is temporary……..I so pray not. On the 1st of March the budget goes into effect. Based on today it would be so tragic if it were left at 1170. There was a lot of good NOISE today and I encourage Iraqis to now make a joyful noise unto the Lord. THOMAS N …….you either take good notes or you know KNARF. LOL. Family below is this man’s post that could have come from me. Please enjoy. Thomas N Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Posts: 322 300 or 3.0-mm Marchers Hi AZP, Glad you are on. As you know there will be a myriad of stories being published about the Day Of Rage In Iraq. Since 4:00 a.m. I have been watching CNN Fox, MSNBC BBC to see what kind of "dirt" would be stated. The worst dirt was Libya it was plastered all over... There were small stories on Iraq they mirrored the same stories as were on the different forums and even on KTF M. I believe Malakai got a Pass Card from the Game of Life. Malakai has stated in the news articles he will proceed with the naming of the three Defense Ministers this week. Their week starts on our Sunday thate equals their Monday. All we as investors and members can do is stay calm. pray and keep the Faith. It has been stated the Budget has passed, It appears that the Interior and Defense have been given their positions the last arte the three Security Ministers. It appears that the HCL is working otherwise how could they say in articles that they are pumping 2.5-mm BPD just like they were doing pre SH. If that was not the case I would think the K's would shut those pipe lines down lickety split. I hope that Frank,Delta and the mods keep safe watch and if there is movement positive or negative that it is reported. Malakais Pass card was Sadr stating give the boys another 6 months. The second pass was China America and Iraq stating we will help you get into the WTO sooner then later. The third pass was Iran stating we will send you some electric so your people will have electric and stay cool calm and collective. Other signs of "Stuff Happening" The dutch finished early the dredging of the ports so that the ships can come in and allow the Steaveadors to unload on the doc and not wait. They opened three or five ports if I read the article correctly. Was there 300 people there or 3.0-mm at the rally of the Day of Rage, I do not think we will really know because Malakai owns the news. He gave the people today what they wanted Heads of some civil servants. Mayors and Governors of Provinces and Towns were dismissed or resigned. That still leaves the target Malakai in the sight of the people. In six months I do not think the people will be so nice. It appears the stage is set the players are set the time is set... now will M come on stage and say Three D Ministers or Not Three Ministers that is what is needed to state the GOI is Live Not Memorex???? I do not know , however being in leasing which is better then Texas Holdem I think M is down to his last playing cards and the rest of the players like the UN, USA, The FRB, China WTO are loaded with Aces Kings, Royal Flushes and Full Houses. IMO I sincerely think Malakai was made to blink and was told stop your greedy little game and lets get this done... According to the articles the people gave M a break he needs to deliver or he will be taken into custody and all his sins shown to the world. That is why he left the 25 or so M leave the country with their suitcases. I am sure they will not be allowed back in. Do you???? As stated before all the kings horses and all the kings men are keeping ole Malakai in. He better get things done this week otherwise I think the Bishop will take the King and smash him and I think Allawai may become the White Knight instead of a rook. One thing that strikes me strange is that there has been no news of Talabaini visiting the Amir of K to celebrate their 20th year of freedom from the SH Regime. I would think that someone would have found a very positive powerful article stating that the Royal Couple have Kissed and Made up and will be given the keys to the shackles. Like the Hatfield and McCoys have kissed made up married and ready to have a baby kind of news....... The dust will settle tonight and tomorrow hopefully I am spot on or close to it. That means Sunday their Monday the M Man announces the Three DM's declare officially the GOI is formed and let the little Swiss Gnome Shabibi state the rate. I pray for that to occur I pray for it to occur because I know we as members are hurting some for several years, the Iraqis are hurting some for 20 years. I think the time to suffer has been more then enough and that is why I am asking all the members to pray for this blessing to occur. It may stop the violence, it may ripple like a drop in the pond of water and clean up many things Internationally, Nationally and in our own private lives. Again I ask you to read this pray and ask God to help us all because we are all stuck on this little blue rock for justawhile.. it has got to get better. Take care AZP I look for your considerate reply TN TAMPATOM…….brought us the articles on the demonstration right after I made my morning report. Yes the demonstration started slowly but gained momentum as the afternoon developed. But as I said …….no where near as bad as we feared nor no where close to Baghdad as we considered. World News 11 killed as Iraqis protest in 'Day of Rage' Published February 25, 2011 Associated Press BAGHDAD – Thousands marched on government buildings and clashed with security forces Friday in cities across Iraq in an outpouring of anger that left 11 people dead — the largest and most violent anti-government protests in the country since political unrest began spreading in the Arab world weeks ago. In northern Iraqi cities, security forces trying to push back crowds opened fire, killing nine demonstrators, In the western Anbar province two people were shot and killed in a protest. In the capital of Baghdad, demonstrators knocked down blast walls, threw rocks and scuffled with club-wielding troops who chased them down the street. The protests, billed as a "Day of Rage, were fueled by anger over corruption, chronic unemployment and shoddy public services from the Shiite-dominated government. Shiite religious leaders discouraged people from taking part, greatly diminishing the Shiite participation and the overall size of the crowd in a country where such religious edicts hold great sway. In the Sunni enclave of Azamiyah, one of the residents said that people there did not want to attend because they feared being labeled Saddamists. "The government has already convicted anyone who takes part in the demonstrations by accusing them of terrorism," said 41-year-old Ammar al-Azami. A Shiite resident from the New Baghdad neighborhood of the capital, Khalil Ibrahim, 44, one of about 3,000 protesters in downtown Baghdad, railed against a government that locks itself in the highly fortified Green Zone, home to the parliament and the U.S. Embassy, and is viewed by most of its citizens as more interested in personal gain than public service. "We want a good life like human beings, not like animals," Ibrahim said. A report released last month by the U.S. reconstruction watchdog agency noted that Iraqi officials are trying to improve the nation's electricity grid with hopes of meeting power demands by 2014. "The lack of perceived improvements in Iraq's water, sewage, and electricity systems could lead to popular unrest more so than political or sectarian disagreements," the special inspector general for Iraqi reconstruction concluded. The center of Baghdad was virtually locked down Friday, with soldiers searching protesters entering Liberation Square and closing off the plaza and side streets with razor wire. The heavy security presence reflected the official concerns that demonstrations here could gain traction as they did in Egypt and Tunisia, then spiral out of control. Iraqi army helicopters buzzed overhead, while Humvees and trucks took up posts throughout the square, where flag-waving demonstrators shouted "No to unemployment," and "No to the liar al-Maliki," referring to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Demonstrators trying to get across a bridge going from the square to the Green Zone clashed with security forces. The demonstrators knocked down some of the concrete blast walls that were put up Thursday night and threw rocks at troops who beat them back with batons. Six riot police and 12 demonstrators were wounded in the melee, according to police and hospital officials. The protests stretched from the northern city of Mosul to the southern city of Basra, reflecting the widespread anger many Iraqis feel at the government's seeming inability to improve their lives. The most deadly clashes came in the Mosul, 225 miles (360 kilometers) northwest of Baghdad. Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the provincial council building, demanding jobs and better services, when guards opened fire, according to a police official. A police and hospital official said five protesters were killed and 15 people wounded. Black smoke could later be seen billowing from the building. A crowd of angry marchers in the northern city of Hawija, 150 miles (240 kilometers) north of Baghdad, tried to break into the city's municipal building, said the head of the local city council, Ali Hussein Salih. Security forces trying to block the crowd opened fire, killing three demonstrators and wounding 15, local officials said. Protesters set fire to three police stations and the municipal council building, said Brig. Gen. Sarhad Qadir. The Iraqi Army was eventually called in to restore order. Around 1,000 demonstrators clashed with police in the western city of Fallujah 40 miles (65 kilometers) west of Baghdad, witnesses said. At least two people were killed and 14 others injured in riots in Anbar province, said Sheik Efan Saadoun, a provincial councilor in Anbar province; he did not know whether the deaths came in Fallujah or Ramadi where protesters also clashed with authorities. Police used stun grenades to ward off about 1,000 demonstrators in Saddam Hussein's former hometown of Tikrit and in the northern city of Kirkuk hundreds of people rallied against corruption in front of the provincial headquarters. In the south, about 4,000 people demonstrated in front of the office of Gov. Sheltagh Aboud al-Mayahi in the port of Basra, Iraq's second-largest city, 340 miles (550 kilometers) southeast of Baghdad. They knocked over one of the concrete barriers and demanded his resignation, saying he'd done nothing to improve services. They appeared to get their wish when the commander of Basra military operations, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jawad Hawaidi, told the crowd that the governor had resigned. And in the southern city of Karbala, about 1,000 protesters rallied for better services. In recent weeks, there had been scattered anti-government protests in Iraq. While most have been peaceful, a few have turned violent and seven people have been killed. The biggest rallies have been in the northern Kurdish city of Sulaimaniyah, 160 miles (260 kilometers) northeast of Baghdad, against the government of the self-ruled region. Police opened fire Friday in the town of Kalar, south of Sulaimaniyah, when a crowd of demonstrators closed in on the headquarters of one of the main ruling parties, police and hospital officials said. One demonstrator was killed and 25 others wounded. All the officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media. On the eve of the marches, al-Maliki urged people to skip the rally, which he alleged was organized by Saddamists and al-Qaida — two of his favorite targets of blame for an array of Iraq's ills. He offered no evidence to support his claim. 7. pourit the point I was making in my previous response was that a guy I respect who has obviously done thousands of hours of research as you have said that the RV would happen a couple of days after the budget was approved, and he was wrong. Rudy Conen is another guy who has researched this thing extensively and he said it would happen by the end of January. Scooter thought it would happen by November. I don't care how much research you've done or how much you think you know about this, the ability to predict the outcome is beyond any of us. No disrespect. It just gets old after awhile, ya know?

  9. So many people are making assumptions here, and on other postings, that the banks, come RV time, will be overwhelmed with customers hammering the doors down demanding their millions of dollars. Really? Percentage-wise very few people have dinar. Very few people will be going to the bank to make a currency exchange. Certainly not enough to keep the banks open longer hours, hiring extra staff, bringing in so much cash they need more security guards ... silly really. Most of the transactions will be electronic, Most banks may never see someone cashing in a dinar investment. Small banks especially do not have the internal wherewithall to handle it perhaps. Not all small banks have specialists higher than loan managers and maybe retirement counsellors. Large banks will handle any and all RV transactions with ease. They have the head office to do their specialty work for them, the internal structure to verify and the funds to pay out. Those funds are not bank funds by the way; they may come from the bank but as the bank pays them out they are getting them back from the CBI, where the dinar will end up, through whatever currency exchange handles that. Minus of course their spread so they make something for doing this for you. Bottom line is that your bank is no longer handling IQD coming or going. Their reasoning is most likely specific to them, a small bank, following protocols other small banks are. I wouldn't get my knickers in a knot over this. No biggie, as some say. smee2

  10. Your right... Kuwait to Iraq is comparing Apples to Oranges. The reasoning for comparing the situation frequently is relative to the timeline of events & proximity of the two locations. From my research, the KWD never was really devalued... It basically lost its street value until they re-instated the value. This particular instance made many people rich who bought in while the street value was down. I think our situation compares better to the Deutsch Mark or Russian currency. Both had a tremendous drop after the WW or Cold War and made a significant bounce back. In the situation of the Deutsch mark, I believe they introduced a new currency that gained value and RV'd. I think there was an article out about this on PD. I didn't think today's protest would turn into a world event like Egypt. I predicted it to be similar to recent events with maybe a little bit higher population attending. With that said, I would believe that these protests will continue & could likely get more violent. It has already push politicians to expedite filling the demands of the protesters. I was "not" expecting a RV announcement today considering CBI is closed today & tomorrow. If it was imminent, I would believe Sunday is the first day we would see anything about it. Tuesday is the day that I'll keep an eye on. It won't be for a RV, but a change in the exchange rate from the UN website. If I see no change, I will not become depressed, because my biggest fear would be to see a "minor" change in the rate... It could mean 4-6 more months before another change. I'm just hoping the next time the 1170 shows movement, the movement is huge.... However, lets look at some factual information that may help you feel just a little bit more comfortable.. US Treasury workers have been over in Iraq since Feb. 14th.. I am not sure if they're still there, but they've been working & helping the Iraq politicians.. Question is.. Why? What interest would they have to benefit for helping them?? Interesting..... From my understanding the Budget goes into effect on March 1st - retroactive to Jan 1st 2011. Okay, this also means it lasts on an effective date of the Operationl UN exchange rates. Coincidence? Maybe, but it it seems too logical, than it just may not happen that way. China visits... Supports the lifting of international sanctions on Iraq... I wonder if they signed off on an important piece of documents?? Talabani in Kuwait, rubbing soldiers w/ the high-ranking officials.. Sweet! They're friends now, I wonder if that means they feel debts are paid. Upcoming Arab Summit.. How could a proud people represent currency that is worthless compared to their neighbors? Who knows.. But it could be embarassing.. Tariffs to be imposed on March 8th (Some as high as 80%) were introduced to protect the local industry, but was delayed until further notice. Interesting..... Why? Because the consumer would feel the effects of that with higher prices on consumer goods/services & food. But it was delayed, maybe it was a hint at giving away something to be perceived as a date... A date we would all speculate and follow to make a run on the banks prior. Their currency.. Currently not trade-able... There's a nice little bunch of profits that can be made by exchanging it. The PIPs, or spreads as you may recognize it.. When people buy, they make money off te spread, when people sell, they make money off the spread. Rising & declining of the value with people trading it, will profit the currency exchange dept. Oil... Pushing over $100 per barrel w/ civil unrest in the M.E. - Oh no not again! $4/gallon in US? But wait, Iraq is pushing full steam ahead at pre-invasion levels.. And only increasing! That deficit will sure be cleaned out in no time...... Huh? My concern? Final ministries.. What is the dang hold-up, right? Are they really done & have been done behidn the scenes? Who knows..... I've read speculation that those that would likely get approved by M do not wish to have those positions because they do not want to be associated with M for the future of their careers. Makes sense, right?? If M fails, than all high-ranking officials will fail with him.

  11. Please look at the US State Departments "Plan" for Iraq on the following link. This is unclassified and was released by the US government. Read about the new currency and their plan for it on page 14 and you tell me if this was a wise investment or not. Life is good and about to get a whole lot better for us....but more importantly for Iraqi's http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB198/FOI%20Economy%20and%20Infrastructure.pdf

  12. So I am going to dish some more info about me. I am from Israel and I was born in Iran and I have some friends that know a thing or two in the israeli army. That is all I can say. If you want to really know when the RV will take place follow Iran and the actions and influence they are having in the Arab world especially Iraq. To all the Military personell here that served in Iraq you all know what I am talking about and you all know that Iran is behined all the demonstrations in Iraq and Bahrin. Most recently the subotage in the major oil refinary. Iran also plays a major role in other countries, but watch what is going on there it is a chesse game going on here between Iran/Russia and the Western world. I mentioned Russia because they are a silent player and they have a lot of say on what is going on in the middle east and if anyone knows a little bit of history they know that Russia was and is to this day a major ally to most Arab countries and they still have tremendous influence over events in the ME. So far Iran and Russia are wining this Chess game while the USA is sitting Ideally doing nothing and I attribute it to the current weak administration. This is my opinion and take it for what it is. Be well and stay real!

If you do a bit of research I think you will change your opinion. However for some I guess it's less of an effort to just criticize others. I absolutely agree with your advice to not invest more than you can afford to lose. Please do some research. It's fun and will keep you better educated to this investment. Peace. I don't appreciate the insinuation that I am trying to dupe people. If you do a little research, you will fully understand where this document came from and what it is. Please do some digging before you start bashing. Ignorance may be bliss but it won't do anything for this investment. I am however a big fan of Woody Harrelson and Kingpin. Peace

  14. This has been previously stated and there is truth to this. If the Iraqi Government was anywhere close to RV'ing, they would not be giving their Dinars away at auctions. All of the current currency would be hoarded. When you see currency no longer sold at auctions, when it becomes scarce, that is when you know it will be close to RV. Until then we are no closer to this RV'ing than we were 5 years ago. My two cents, let the beat down begin from those in denial.

  16. For all my grammatically correct friends. On his 74th birthday, a man got a gift certificate from his wife. The certificate paid for a visit to a medicine man living on a nearby reservation who was rumored to have a wonderful cure for erectile dysfunction. After being persuaded, he drove to the reservation, handed his ticket to the medicine man, and wondered what he was in for. The old man handed a potion to him, and with a grip on his shoulder, warned, 'This is a powerful medicine. You take only a teaspoonful, and then say '1-2-3.' When you do, you will become more manly than you have ever been in your life, and you can perform as long as you want." The man was encouraged. As he walked away, he turned and asked, "How do I stop the medicine from working?" "Your partner must say '1-2-3-4,'" he responded, "but when she does, the medicine will not work again until the next full moon." He was very eager to see if it worked so he went home, showered, shaved, took a spoonful of the medicine, and then invited his wife to join him in the bedroom. When she came in, he took off his clothes and said, "1-2-3!" Immediately, he was the manliest of men. His wife was excited and began throwing off her clothes, and then she asked, "What was the 1-2-3 for?" And that, boys and girls, is why we should never end our sentences with a preposition, because we could end up with a dangling participle.

If you've had your dinars for more than 3 years, you will make a little profit. If not, you will still get the majority of your money back. I'm sorry but I just can't seem to work up any tears for you quitters. If you are selling off because of hardship, that's a different story.

  18. Actually Peter, there is about 1,000 Trillion Dollars (if all currencies are converted to Dollars) in the world. Strangely enough, the Rothschild family (7 families actually) own just a smidgen over 500 Trillion in assets. These are the nice folks that brought us the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, Bank of Germany and all the other reserve banks. The figures I see repeated from multiple sources tell this story: There are a total of 27 Trillion Dinars in print. BOI has recovered 17 Trillion (about 63%) leaving 10 Trillion in circulation. Of that, the US government owns a reported 5.7 Trillion, individuals and small-time speculators own about 300 Billion (about 3%), and the remaining 4 Trillion is owned by other countries. Why does the US Government own Dinars? The Dollar is on the way down as it will no longer be used as the world's cash currency. Oil will be paid for in Dinars or a new certificate called a DTF. This is happening in parallel with the Dinar RV and with a Global Settlement between nations. As part of this Settlement, all world currencies will be RV's and their value (up or down) will be based on the amount of gold in the national treasury (minimum 20% of the currencies value) and on that countries natural, untapped resources such as gold, silver, coal, oil, gas, and rare earths. No more fiat currencies - including our Federal Reserve Note which will be replaced very soon with a new Treasury Note. This will signal our break from the Federal Reserve. The last time this happened President Kennedy created our own treasure-printed Dollars. You see what that got him. The Fed has been resistant to change - until now. This time the world, led by China, has said enough is enough to the Rothschild's and their reserve banks. Big things are afoot in the banking world and it's happening right under our noses. The Dinar's RV is directly tied to all this as it is the only currency remaining in the world basket of currencies without a live value on FOREX. When I think about the prices that are being thrown around regarding the PRICE, I think to myself "a low value is better than a high price". To me a $3.22+ RV spells LOP whereas a $0.25 RV means just that - no LOP. Just think about it. A $3.22 value without a LOP would value the country of Iraq's currency at $87 Trillion Dollars. THe entire US debt is only $14 Trillion. You would think they could pay it for us as a way of saying thanks. Ya think? 25 Cents makes a lot more sense. That would value their currency at a reasonable $6.25 Trillion Dollars - that's more like it. I'm hoping for a 35 cent RV and lots of growth as revenues and oil flows in Iraq. GO RV.

  19. Nir, great post and you are spot on about Iran and Russia's influence. I said from day 1 that all the 'insurgency' was facilitated by Iran. The Soviets have always had influence over the ME. In fact most of if not all of the Arab-Israeli wars from the 50's through the 80's were nothing more than proxy wars between the US and USSR. I believe it was Nassir in 73 (dont quote the year) who said 'The more we fight Israel, the more I know we are fighting the US'. As I'm sure you figured I too have Israeli insights with military experience...more so than the standard required service at 18 yrs. old. If I may I'd like to introduce a theory. It is pretty obvious that the US will never directly take on Iran in a military engagement. Mostly due to our current administration (or lack thereof). However there might be another way to fight them. Considering the young Iranians did step up once, Obama missed his window of opportunity to support the dissent. With all the other ME players having their own similar troubles, it might be in our best interest to fight Iran UN-conventionally. I whole-heartedly believe Israel will help out as it is clearly in their best interest. What I mean is by supporting the Iranian's seeking democracy, similarly to the Berlin Airlifts. Support with organization, logistics, finances and whatever else; with the attempt for the youth of Iran to topple the regime themselves. As part of that strategy, stabilizing Iraq and helping their economy thrive, it will serve as a beacon to other aspiring democracies in the region. 'Hell if Ira can do it, so can we'--type thinking. Iran is the head of the snake, and the head much be removed and all the cards will fall into place. Just my thoughts

IF YOU had read this document, or barely scanned it, you would realize it is not a fake and you would know the source and where it came from. And who would fake this document? A pumper? There isn't a pumper alive that has the capability to put that document together, much less a summary of it. Who else.....maybe the Chinese. Yeah, that's it...the Chinese...the Chinese and the Canadians...yeah, yeah, that's it. IF YOU had done any research regarding this investment, a 200-page document would not be daunting. It would be a source of information and discovery. I would think you may look at a document such as this as tool to use to either verify, confirm, or readjust your investment. IF YOU knew anything about this investment, an exact date and a rate are almost irrelevant. It is about the Plan, the plan for investors, big investors. The plan includes the oil. This is not about helping poor Iraqis or you and me. It is about money. The rest of it is a side benefit that fell off the truck as it bounced down the road to the bank. You should have said thank you to TJ rather than accusing him of not doing presenting a good piece of information. I think you owe TJ one of those fruity drinks with an umbrella. Carrello

Aswat Al Iraq / Politics , Baghdad Iraq's Council of Ministers to hold emergency session Sunday, spokesman says: 2/26/2011 3:06 PM BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Council of Ministers has decided to hold an emergency session on Sunday to boost the activity of different ministries and provinces councils and laying down urgent executive plans to achieve that, the Iraqi government's official spokesman, Ali Al-Dabbagh said on Saturday. The Iraqi capital of Baghdad had witnessed broad mass demonstrations in central Baghdad's al-Tahrir (Liberation) Square, demanding the improvement of services, causing the injury of two of the demonstrators and seven policemen, according to official security sources. Iraq's Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has stated on Friday that he would follow up the demands of citizens and implement all issues that are under his responsibility, along with following up the activity of the ministers and local administrations, in order to commit them to implement their promisess for the citizens, pointing out that investigations would be carried out about the violations that took place in certain areas, during Friday demonstrtions.

  23. The common element cited by all the posters who predict "RV, but not anytime soon" is their assertion that it won't happen until the ME settles down. nir is certainly right that the ME is an unpredictable place. However, what most of them, including nir, miss is that the ME WON'T settle down until the people there, including the Iraqis, have a clear vision of a decent standard of living. That means they have the earning power to provide for life's necessities, such as food, electricity, etc. and the GOI has the financial wherewithal to make that a reality. For all that to happen, Iraq has to have a currency with tangible value. Please explain to me how stability will occur in Iraq when it takes boxes full of essentially worthless currency to survive. Are we truly to believe that all 24 million+ Iraqis will suddenly wake up one day and make nice under those circumstances? I think, sir, you have it backwards: no RV, no stability.

Most banks that I have spoken to have told me they would need to send the dinars off to confirm they're real. If they sent off 500K of notes I would imagine they would have to stand good for the currency or insure it in case of loss or theft. That would be my guess for the risk language here. JMO

  27. Hey gang, i have been waiting on this to pop as all have any second and have been invested about seven years and have read all the different news on this subject, rumors by the bunches, predictions of how, when, how much and its all good reading and exciting, but i believe there is something that each one of us needs to renew our thinking about. For God to maximize his glory in this event, we as joint heirs to this new wealth needs to reaccess our thinking about this as a whole. We know what the Iraqi people want and need and it is very small in Gods eyes compared to what we in the USA are wanting. For many here it will lift them back up out of bankruptcy, payoff bills buy things they need to lead a better life. For many here it will lavish them with the opportunity to go and spend, spend, spend until they look back sometime from now and wonder where it all went.....I do believe that the reason this Rv hasn't happened yet is because there is something that God still needs to happen or there is something that needs to be fixed, or put into place yet and we can't see it. Over here we are dealing with dreams of spending millions, over there they dream of a decent meal, sanitary conditions and making it home everyday without losing a husband or father in a bombing. We are both God's children and yet look at the difference between the two. People over here need to take a step back and really think about someone you can help make their lives a little better. Just imagine if everyone of us made an effort to help someone, what a difference it could make. Maybe our attitudes as a whole need to be reviewed and corrected as to what we will do with our wealth before this happeneds. Selfishness and greed needs to be replaced with a kind heart and a kind and caring attitude. Maybe this is one of the things God is waiting for before he lets the RV happen. Think about it...........To God be the Glory

  28. Here's the deal. I have spent approximately 3500 hours researching this dinar investment. I don't want anyone to over extend themselves. But...I am at about 99 % that this will happen and fairly soon. I believe it is just like a puzzle and I have seen most of the pieces fall into place. I think there are two more pieces to go. Maliki holds 1 and Shabibbi holds the other. I believe both pieces will be placed by Monday. You shouldn't tell newbies like yourself not to buy in...you should tell them to do some research and then make their own decision. I started buying in 2004 because I listened to someone like you about the Kuwait dinars 10 years earlier and did not pull the trigger. Probably cost me millions. I did my research this time and I'M READY.....and I totally believe thousands of lives will be transformed because of just those I have told. You can be a Grinch or you can POUROTFORWARD Life is a choice.

  29. I have read many posts with interest, but have never posted because I had nothing to offer until now. Following is the email my banker sent to me today of an internal bank memo. This man is also a friend with whom I served on a Board, and who helped me to secure a loan through his bank to purchase my building. Just two days ago we were discussing redeaming my dinars through his bank, because they have been selling them for a while: " FYI Bob Pinnacle Bank will no longer offer Iraqi dinar exchanges. Who does it impact? Clients wanting to buy or sell Iraqi dinar. What’s changing? Pinnacle will no longer buy or sell Iraqi dinar through Foreign Currency Exchange. When? March 1, 2011 What do I need to do? Refer any affected clients wanting to buy or sell Iraqi dinar to other foreign currency exchange companies. Why? The risk involved with exchanging Iraqi dinar has escalated above the firm’s risk tolerance level." The "Why" is the crux of this e-mail. This is a small local bank. It looks like they believe something will happen on March 21 that will alter their business practices regarding the dinar, like they may not have enough money to handle the demands of a high RV. Any comments?

Not sure that it is real supportive of the whole RV thing happening anytime real soon... There are so many reasons it seems to be important for it to launch sooner than later, and this document looks like its recommending a few additional measures in place before that happens? I'm wondering what some of the Forum folk far better at analysis than I, think of this document relative to what's going on with the RV process? 34. Well maybe it's time to define 'unrest'. It is completely ignorant to say that the ME is a 'peaceful' region. So what's the criteria then? having a country with a Dictator brutal to his people? By this argument one can infer that under Saddam's regime the Dinar would be more valuable than now because there were no protesters in the streets. So is it fair to assume that regardless of how brutal and shady a dictator may be, as long as there's no people protesting in the street their currency can be stable? Come on man As far as Adam is concerned, a few weeks ago he said no RV imminent due to Egypt's turmoil. A week later he said how the unrest is helping to facilitate the RV and that we're on the Home Stretch. Now we're back again to 'no RV until things settle'? Maybe you can help make sense of the straw man's argument by explaining how the Egyptian Pound and the Libyan Dinar have not collapsed yet. I'd say things there are a bit more unstable than in Iraq, wouldn't you? Regarding Israel, in 1973's Yom Kippur war, Israel was attacked by Egypt, Syria, Iraq, & Jordan and in the initial days was almost beaten. Thats some pretty serious instability...maybe even more threatening that people rallying outside a government building. If not for Golda Maier's 11th hour call to Nixon, Israel might very well have lost. Still though their currency didn't collapse. At that time Israel's government was 25 years old and already had 3 Arab-Israeli wars. Somehow they (and their currency) persevered through hostile neighbors backed by the Soviets and 3 outright wars. One can draw the conclusion based on the events in Iraq and the surrounding area, that the GOI is in fact not the ones to call the RV shots and perhaps it is outside forces (US, IMF, UN, WTO, etc) who might just be the ones that do. Still though, I always enjoy reading your perspectives Mr.Rich. You always have a great handle on things

With all the corruption and rioting going on it would be like giving drugs to a drug addict. Hope I'm wrong but the reality of the situation doesn't lend to an RV, maybe someday as it is sorely needed but the leadership is not their yet. My son is in special ops (Green Beret) and has been there stated that they will never be a unified nation because of their tribe mentality. Sorry should be in opinions.

  38. Because of the trillions of dinar in circulation, compared to the marketing value of their natural resources ,i,e oil and natural gas, realizing at best they will probably only realize at best 50 percent of that revenue, the money they owe other countries, and the fact there is very little stability in Iraq as a whole at this time leads me to believe that at this time , the dinar has already rv,d. In the future i can see the dinar certainly escalating in value in small increments that will make our investment a profitable one over time. The sheer amount of dinars in circulation is the main thing i see as a stop put to any significant revaluation of those thereof. Please take the time to research how many dinar there are at the present on the open market times the price you realistically think they should r'v at , then compare that figure to their daily production times price per bbl. less 50 percent for the cost of production and transportion charged by the companies in charge of making production happen. To me in my perhaps backward way of thinking all i can see is they cannot at this time afford nor support any subsantial change in the value of their currency. I welcome any and all facts showing my theory is totally out of line. Actually, I hope to be shown the error of my ways. Thanks

  39. nir, If you are under the dilusion that it is Iraq's decision to Rv you are mistaken. It was NOT their decision to devalue and it is NOT their decision for a revalue. This was planned by higher powers(USA, IMF, World Bank, BIS, UN) and Iraq must execute it. When it will happen is anybody's guess.

  41. * Frank26 Post: KTF Missions 2/25/11 February 25th, 2011 09:17 pm · Posted in CHATS & POSTS (Iraqi Dinar Info) Good evening Family, The NOISE …….was good. KTF, Frank

  42. This is not just good, I believe this to be absolutely huge! When trading currency pairs, the four decimal places are very important. The fourth decimal place is called a PIP. A PIP is the value of the change in the currency during trade. A change of .0001 is called 1 PIP. Depending on how much currency one purchased, that is how the observed gain or loss is calculated. So what does this mean? It means the IQD is about to be traded on the FOREX which means the RV in my mind is soon to occur. Best sign I have seen since investing... Select the Major Currency Pairs and you will see every major currency pair has these 4 decimal places, they are essential to the system. The change is the number of PIPs. There is a tutorial on FOREX that teaches you basic FOREX trading knowledge and discusses PIPs. PIPs usually have a very small spread or change, not like 9 that we are used to seeing with IQD. Basically means it will be traded in volume soon to behave like the other currencies on FOREX which only tells me it's about to RV.

  43. I see it a liitle different , Had the currency RV'd before planned riot , and from articles not knowing what the people want (sending MPs to different parts of Iraq ) giving them cash before Riot would allow them to update their sticks and stones to Machine guns . I blv after scheduled riot is the best time . To show it was done for the people and that the Govt listened . Aint over yet . Hang in there

  45. SORRY PAL BUT I'M NOT A PUMPER.....I JUST THOUGHT IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU MIGHT WANT TO TELL A LOVED ONE OR A FRIEND ABOUT THIS INVESTMENT THAT YOU FORGOT TO TELL. AND TO THE PERSON ABOVE THAT SAID THEY WOULDN'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS PACK OF LIES...I'LL BET HE STILL OWN DINARS...WHICH THEY COULD SELL AT A PROFIT WHEN SELLING 25,000 NOTES INDIVIDUALLY. I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO WIN...EXCEPT FOR THOSE WHO ONLY THINK ABOUT THEMSELVES. RELAX EVERYONE POURITFORWARD.

  46. Thank you Adam for bringing these news items to our attention. What would be helpful is if you could include your take on the news. A sort of, editorial overview with relation to the RV I can look up news articles, too, but not having the level of experience in this area that you do, I cannot discern what is applicable to our investment (and how it applies) as well as you can.

  49. Don't get to excited about the rate stated. Anyone who has done some research knows that $3.22 would be the RI rate. the RI rate is based on what the currency of Iraq was valued at before we invaded and forced Saddam out of office. I wouldn't advise anyone get there hopes up for an RV to come in that high. There's been a lot of talk about dropping the 0's which would mean that we have an RV in the 85 cent range. Bear in mind that Kuwait RV'd at 10 cents and then shot up to $7 within 9 months. I hope we see some sort of an RV by 3/1. High or low makes no difference. JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!
