Doesn't it seem odd that there's not a "NOTICE OF ELIMINATION" link on the 50 note? 

Wouldn't it make sense to place some type of warning/caution notice to the citizen's ... (and banks of the world) that it's being "eliminated" soon?

They haven't updated the Economic Indicators on the Home page, plus they haven't updated the Images for the new 25000 and 10,000 Dinar notes.  I'm not suprised they haven't reclassed the 50.

Iraq's financial entities do a poor job keeping their websites up to date. Very very poor job. The ISX site has been showing October 2014 data.

Central Bank of Iraq announced the start replacing the coin 50 dinars as of this March after his decision to drag. He added that the bank "Due to stop the public from trading cash paper category 50 dinars, he decided to withdraw this banknote from trading on the basis of the powers vested in Article 36 of the Bank Act No. 56 of 2004", "The banks and their branches will start replacing these banknotes presented to it without fee or commission, and will be deposited with the bank and its branches for the purpose of restricting the corresponding value in the accounts we have. " "The term, which will replace the banknotes will begin on the first of March to 30 of April next," he said, adding that "the end of the replacement period banknote will be null and void and has no discharge power will not be accepted in Iraq."

Yes that would make sense, but this is Iraq.

mmmmmmmm   if  the  logic  holds .......  maybe   the  notes  will stand ........   or  if something  gets lopped off ,  the 1000  will be  100   the 10,ooo   will be 1000   the 25,ooo  will be  the 2500    ---------  and I hope that is  low as it goes

Im sure they will be changing the CBI website soon, deleting the 50.00 and adding all the new lower denoms.

The look of the site in general hasn't been changed since 2012 - other than the daily auctions, the financial information and the news releases most of the info is dated.

Their track record shows you can't believe a damn thing coming out of that country. They always say what the will do but notice how nothing ever pans out. They miss dates with no explanations, Today is just like last year. Nothing but double talk comes out of Iraq. Take everything you read, see or hear with a grain of salt.
