I think you may have lost something in the translation.

The original was also sent to me and it specifically stated:

Ben sadece benim otelde geldi.İstediğiniz herhangi bir hizmet için burada fahişe sadece 1,17 ücret.Harika bir haber. RV git

Ok... Looks like somebody is trying to pump Turkish Language Courses around here....J/K

One of my contact was out of Iraq for 3 weeks and I found a email from him just this morning. He just got back to Iraq 3 days ago and he sad He exchanged 1 USD 1.17 in his Hotel in Baghdad!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to have a heart attack, but then I started thinking that there must be some mistake here, he is either typing wrong, or it is simply miscommunication. If anyone reads Turkish here the sentence from his email (dün bagdatta otelde 1 usd 1.17 dianrdan bozdular benimde dikkatimi çekti acaba senin dediklerin yavas yavas gercekleşiyormu dedim.Ama bir kaç güne bir seyler öğrenir sana yazarım.)

And he was saying that he thought about me and my questions, and he sad he will check this out in more detail, and write me again.

I immediatly responded and asked, "Did you mean 1 USD 1170 Dinar, instead of 1.17, is this a misspel, a mistake or it is really 1.17, I need to know, please confirm with me ASAP.

I don't know when he will read and reply to my email, But I am sure there is a mistake.

This is my own experience, it is not a rumor, But again I strongly believe there is something wrong here, therefore I am posting this in RUMOR section.

I allready have a BAD (in bold and red ) Reputation, so, your bashing and negatives doesn't scare me , I just wanted to share my HIGH , because I believe we all need some uplifting, and hope.

PEACE AND RV TO ALL.

Dammit Dude........You make Okie sound believable!

why would he have a hotel bill from Iraq in TURKISH?????? come on...

Uhmmmm let me take a shot at this.... The man is perhaps from Turkey. He writes in Turkish. He is staying at a hotel in Iraq. He is texting in Turkish to talk about the money exchange interaction he had at an Iraqi hotel?

Why would "his contact" send him a Turkish translation. If it were "his contact" don;t you think he would send him an email in a language that he could understand?

this is what I got in Turkish, I understand a little but I think this is what it is supposed to say.

1 USD 1.17 dinars from the hotel yesterday in Baghdad, broke slowly does labour Government's Violence to reality I 've noticed I said I wonder they call you.

But a few days to learn the things I write to you

several of the words he combined his tenses or punctuated without a space so they don't come out completely correct when just dropped into a translator and one word is actually a fragment of a sentence that he combined as one word which is not even a word in the language it should look like this:

gercekl e ş iyor mu

not this

gercekleşiyormu

Hi everybody, I am so sorry to give you all false hopes!!!

After sending 3 emails to my contact, asking if he made a mistake on typing the numbers, he replied me yesterday evening. Here what he sad exactly " I am sorry, I am so used to raising the O's from our currency (new turkish lira, he is Turkish) I was confused and wrote 1.17, and it is actually 1170 as you suspected and asked in your mail. "

I should have wait for confirmation from him before I post yesterday, but like I sad, I was very excited, number he put made sense (1.17) and he wasn't some guy sells lemonade in Baghdat streets... he is an engineer, and even I had my doubts, I guess I wanted to believe the possibility of him being correct.

Have a peaceful weekend. RV to all.
