this email "ostensibly" from you is no more "personal" than having virtual internet sex...

it is about QUALITY OF CONTRIBUTIONS Adam - not quantity...

this auto email embarrasses you and discounts the value of your site.

Recommendation - make these auto emails go away & have human beings (moderators) judge the value of a contributor's content... Post that my friend!

The purpose for the e-mail, is to encourage debate and contributions. That's all that Adam, is trying to do. It's really no big deal and it's not high shool, either. I suppose you were mad that the "personal e-mail from Adam" wasn't one that was announcing an rv? Your complaint is trivial and I think you could have sent Adam a personal e-mail explaining your thoughts, in a much nicer way. This is really not an issue to be insulting about.

Wow ... look at all the negatives you got for that little bit of a rant. Seems to me there is a word for people who would actually give you negatives for letting a little steam off by coming down on the boss man ... on a never-meet-the-man website yet ... ah, let's see what is it? Oh, yeah ... suckups.

As rants go your's was good and had a reasonable basis to it. No one these days is fooled by the personal message from the site owner, especially when you are instructed not to respond. But, on a site that is sponsored, as with a newspaper that is advertising driven rather than subscriptions, as my little weekly newspaper was for many years, it is the number of readers who determine whether or not the advertisers will pay for space ... so it makes good business sense to encourage people to come, and post, and stay, and post some more. If letting you blow off a little steam makes it easier for you ... it is all good.
