The Central Bank of Iraq called on the media on Wednesday to be accurate in reporting news related to its monetary policy.
 
 

The Central Bank stressed, in a statement received by {Euphrates News} a copy of it, on: "Adopting what is published on its official website to avoid misleading news that confuses the market in favor of speculators in foreign currency."

On Wednesday, the Central Bank of Iraq issued an invitation to the media.

The bank's media said in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that "the Central Bank of Iraq calls on the media to be accurate in reporting news related to its monetary policy."

"Misleading news is confusing the market in favor of foreign currency speculators," the bank said according to the statement.

A statement by the bank, a copy of which was received by NAS (April 5, 2023), stated that it "calls on the media and all relevant authorities to be accurate in reporting news related to the bank and its monetary policy, and to adopt what is published on its official website to avoid misleading news that confuses the market in favor of foreign currency speculators."

I'm thinking they're making an effort to put out in front of us the fact of telling the CBI not to be "misleading", or lie. This way their lies are suppose to come across more believable. Sort of a down play and reverse psychology.
