Government spokesman for Al-Awadi confirmed that new decisions will be issued to achieve balance in the exchange market, while pointing to the near completion of the structure of the general budget law for the year 2023.

 

Al-Awadi said, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The general budget for 2023 is complete and present, but the issue of fluctuation in the dollar exchange rate caused a delay in its approval," noting that "changing the exchange rate is in the service of the Iraqi citizen."
He pointed out that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed the Ministry of Finance and other relevant ministries to form the budget structure and return the figures based on the modern exchange rate within a specific period of time."
He pointed out, that, "After the Ministry of Finance finishes fixing the new price figures, the budget will be ready and will be presented in the Council of Ministers again and then will be sent to Parliament," stressing, "The budget of the current year and for the first time will be devoted to the implementation of the government program, whether service or the private sector and all that the ministerial program has pledged."
He pointed out that "there is a set of new packages and decisions that will be issued by the government and the Central Bank through follow-up, in order to achieve balance in the exchange market inside Iraq."

Government spokesman for Al-Awadi revealed on Monday that decisions and packages will be issued to achieve balance in the exchange market.

Al-Awadi said in a statement to the official website followed by (Baghdad Today) that "a set of decisions and packages will be issued to achieve balance in the exchange market."

"The prime minister directed the budget structure within a specific period of time," he said.

"This year's budget will be used to implement the government programme," he said.

He pointed out that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed the Ministry of Finance and other relevant ministries to form the budget structure and return the figures based on the modern exchange rate within a specific period of time."
