I would suggest the people who bought this toman to look at how it has bottomed this year compared to when they bought it an figure if its worth the gas driving to an exchange store. You really don’t think them deleting all these zeros is adding value to it, do you? The reason Iran is deleting zeros is because it’s nearly worthless an their leadership knows it’s in trouble. It was a gamble the folks made an didn’t pay off, time to forget about Iran an move on....

I guess I'll just hang on to it and see how things go. Probably a total loss. Edited May 9, 2020 by Floridian

You’re correct.! -economic sanctions -hyperinflation -changing the name from rial to toman Three indicators of a LOP Same as Venezuela, also with economic sanctions from the US and EU they changed the name from Bolivar to Bolivar fuerte and you can see the currency as trash on the streets because it has no value. Venezuelan are now using the dollar. 2

DoD
screwball you absolutely correct my man, I live in Vegas an believe as you do about being in to win. I think when the casinos open back up I’ll take my $100.00 that I was gonna buy toman with an put it all on Black...at least that’s a 50/50 odds of winning which I’m thinking is better odds than the toman making a comeback in my lifetime...good luck to you.

GregHi
After reading some of your comments, I remember Kim Clement say that “there would be a grave (as in great) surrender” And that “he shall bring it forth to his people in Iran, his Christian people in Iraq and Palestine, yes Palestine..” Could he be referring to Iran’s great surrender being they join the central banking system and their currency is reset along with Iraq? “A break in the financial system that begins in the Middle East!”? Before, I was thinking the Iranian Rial is a lop, but maybe it won’t be and we should hold onto it and see what happens, if this is what Kim May have meant.. 2 3

yota691
The Iranian Toman is at the lowest level since the beginning of the year Economy | 02:12 - 12/05/2020 Follow-up - Mawazine News The Iranian currency has witnessed a decline in its exchange rate against the dollar during the past days, in light of the difficult economic situation due to the repercussions of the Corona crisis and the US sanctions imposed on Tehran. According to a website specialized in tracking the informal currency market in Iran, the dollar exchange rate rose today above 17,000 tomans, after a few days ago at the level of 15500 tomans - 16,000 tomans. This means that the exchange rate of the Iranian currency during the past days has declined by about 10%. Thus, the Iranian currency has recorded its lowest level since the beginning of this year, as it was at 15450 tomans in early January 2020. The Iranian economy is suffering due to the repercussions of the Corona crisis, and the measures that have been taken to curb the spread of the virus, in addition to that the sanctions imposed by Washington on Tehran, Especially on Iranian oil exports.
