Former Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy has been tapped to serve as outside counsel to President Donald Trump as the House impeachment inquiry expands.

That’s according to an administration official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal legal matters.

Gowdy is a former South Carolina congressman who did not seek reelection last year to the seat he had held for eight years.

Gowdy was the chairman of the House oversight committee. He led the congressional investigation of former presidential candidate Hilary Clinton and the terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya.

Remember when Rep. Trey Gowdy grilled H. Clinton for hours and hours and hours and she was found guilty and sent to prison?.....Yeah, me neither.  Let's see Trump strap on his big boy pants and sit through that kind of grilling.

Remember when Lynch and Comey exonerated her without any kind of an Investigation.  If you or I were under House subpoena and destroyed hard drives and hid emails we would be in jail.  Can’t you see the hypocrisy of the Left. If HRC had a beat down Investigation like Mueller did to Trump there would be at least 10 people in jail now.  Barry and his orbit followers would have had more.  Just my opinion.  Go RV/RI

I believe I spelled it correctly.  If you are referring to Trump’s refusal to answer Pelosi’s request to have Trump’s cabinet testify before Congress then I get what you are saying.  That issue is becoming a Constitutional crisis and will probably go to the Supreme Court.  We will see how that works out.  Remember HRC, obstructed her Congressional inquiry and got off Scott free.  She had Comey and Lynch running interference for her.  Let’s let it play out and then we can debate the outcome.  Ha

Congress investigates, DOJ does the prosecuting. 

Obamas girl Lynch was AG at the time and she wasn't going to do anything. 

Congress has a bite but no teeth. 

Trump has been through 2.5 years of grilling and no crimes found. 

HC has been proven to be guilty of many things but AG Lynch did nothing.

Just like Trump's status...proven to be guilty in the court of public opinion or on politically motivated social media sites, pod casts or radio shows doesn't mean squat....certainly not guilt.
