"The countries on the Silk Road can, through joint channels of cooperation, be transformed into successful economic markets," said Masoud Nasrati, president of the World Silk Road Cities Association.

In a speech at the 29th meeting of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Parties held in Tehran, Nusrati expressed his hope that the conference will take effective measures in reviving the historic path of the Silk Road.
He added that the Silk Road is a group of commercial routes and ancient caravan routes linking the Mediterranean Sea to eastern China, where many goods are exchanged in these routes between East and West Asia and the Mediterranean Basin.
"This trade route has the highest communication characteristics in the ancient world, that is, the exchange of cultures between the East and the West, or better among the great civilizations of China, Iran, the Romans and the surrounding areas," he said.
The choice of the silk name for this route was that silk was one of the most famous, light and expensive goods, transported through tens of centuries across this route between the East and the West.
He added that Iran as a connecting link can connect the countries of Central Asia with free water, and that the Silk Road as a historical and symbolic road is important for better communication and communication between peoples. It is necessary to develop cooperation in cultural, political, economic and tourism fields among the countries. Hariri Road, and revive this historic path.
"The countries on the Silk Road track are big and complementary economic markets," Nasrati said. "By creating new channels of cooperation, they can become new economic markets for the region and the world. This cooperation is of strategic and global importance.
Nasrati pointed to the establishment of the 2016 World Silk Road Cities Association (WASRC) at the meeting held in the city of Qazvin with the aim of peaceful partnership and comprehensive community development, increasing exchanges, enhancing cooperation and creating a bright future for cities along the Silk Road.

  • yota691 changed the title to IMF warns countries involved in China Silk Road initiative

IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde warned Thursday of the risks of rising debt in countries where China invests in the context of its large-scale program to carry out infrastructure projects abroad in an effort to cement its trade ties.

Lagarde warned in a speech in Beijing for a forum on the New Silk Road Initiative, a major project launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013 to set up roads, harbors, railways and industrial parks in Asia, Africa and the Middle East to reach Europe.

Although the initiative, which already includes 70 countries, is initially based on joint investments with the parties concerned, many of these workshops are actually financed by loans granted by Chinese institutions. Some Western countries see this as a deliberate strategy of China to consolidate and expand its influence.

Lagarde, speaking to an audience of Chinese and foreign officials, acknowledged that 'silk roads' could meet the 'critical need for infrastructure' in different parts of the world and provide funding to countries that are 'desperately needed'.

However, she warned that these partnerships 'could also lead to increased indebtedness (to the countries concerned) and reduce their other expenses as debt costs increase.' In countries facing already high public debt, dealing with Financing conditions by precautionary measures. '

In fact, China's public development banks and other financial institutions in Asia's first economic power are lending large sums to fund projects in the 'New Silk Road' countries, putting borrowing countries in a financial position they can not face.

This applies to Sri Lanka, which received huge loans from China to build a port, forcing it under the pressure of a 'spiral of indebtedness' to give up its share in the port of China specifically.

Lagarde called for more collective investment and greater transparency, stressing that "silk roads should not be led where they should not."

"In large-scale projects, there is a tendency to take advantage of supply entitlements," she said. "There is always the risk of some projects failing or the risk of misappropriation of funds. Sometimes it even reaches the level of corruption. '

However, Xi Jinping himself responded Tuesday to criticism of his plan at the Boao Forum, and said according to the official New China News Agency that the initiative 'is neither a Marshall Plan nor a Chinese plot. It is an initiative that follows its course in broad daylight. '

  • yota691 changed the title to Chinese "Marshall Plan" for the Middle East

%D9%85%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%88%D8%B9-%D8%B5%D9

BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday that his country would provide 20 billion dollars in economic development loans to Arab countries in a sort of Marshall Plan to boost his country's presence in the Middle East and Africa.

"The loans will be allocated to projects that will provide good jobs and have a positive social impact in Arab countries that have reconstruction needs," Shi told the eighth session of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.

This approach is supported by China's traditional approach to managing the power struggle between it and major powers such as the United States. Analysts say that as Washington continues its traditional approach of influencing military intervention as a front, Beijing is doing its best to cover the decline of traditional powers such as France and Britain or even the United States to focus on economic expansion, especially in poor countries that need funding and projects. Micro.

Participants include Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir and foreign ministers from other Arab countries.

"The loans are part of a special Chinese program of economic restructuring and stimulation of industries," Shi told participants at the forum at the People's Palace in Beijing, adding that his country was ready to extend another loan worth another $ 150 million to countries in the region for "Strengthening their capacity to maintain stability", using the usual expression of order to maintain order and control.

Since taking office, the Chinese president has supervised concerted efforts to expand his country's influence in the Middle East and Africa, including building the country's first military base in Djibouti, a member of the League of Arab States.

China has already provided loans to Arab countries, including $ 1.3 billion to Djibouti alone, according to the US-based China-Africa Research Initiative.

These huge loans have raised concerns at home and abroad about the poor position of poor countries against such large debts. Sri Lanka was forced last year to hand over most of its authority over the port of Hambantota to China after it was unable to repay its debts.

Shi's vision focuses on the "Belt and Road" Initiative for $ 1 trillion of infrastructure to revitalize the former Silk Road.

The new Silk Road project does the national economy

Baghdad

The new Silk Road is of great importance to both the economic and political sides and has important historical roots extending back to 200 BC. China was linked to the Arabian Peninsula and the ancient Near East. During this period, goods were exchanged between Arab and Chinese merchants. The wild in Iran, Iraq and Turkey, and China has started to revive this road recently with the participation of 62 countries in the summit, which discussed this project for the giant economy.

The Silk Road consists of a 12,000-km road and land road linking Asia and the Middle East for hundreds of years with trade, cultural, religious and philosophical links through which goods, products, sciences and cultures were exchanged. All forms of knowledge, including languages, cultures and religions, flourished. One of the most prominent technological achievements that came out through the Silk Road and spread to the countries the technology of paper industry and the development of the print press  silk trade Vice-President of the Baghdad Economic Forum Bassem Jamil Antoine "If we want to be an actor in this project we need a real will to enter into its details and develop a consistent approach, Changeable, and here must be a fixed strategy for 10 years or more and the preparation of training courses and visits to delegations to see the reality of the situation.

He pointed out that "the sincere intention to go to such a project result in significant economic gains, and that Iraq today is one of the largest exporters of oil globally, where the third international exports and roads may close between now and then, so we must look for us consumers of oil as the nerve of life "For the Iraqi economy, our sale of oil and the establishment of economic and trade relations to the East, China, India and South East Asia are very important." International competition

Antoine warned that "it is important to open this door to deal because the countries of the West may happen to have saturation and that there is competition from other countries for our products of oil and petrochemical products and therefore should take the beginning of the Ministry of Transport and communications with all fleets of land, sea and air to strengthen relations with these countries and followed by other ministries Oil, telecommunications and so on expand cultural, commercial and political relations, and the Silk Road has been one of the ways of spreading the Islamic religion from the beginning. " A sound economy student " to raise the level of interest for this project, especially that the media gave attention to this project and tried to deliver the idea , " calling on "access to the course of things and these mega - cities in the construction of a healthy economy and access to China 's experience in solving economic problems is rich and great experience should benefit them We are on the right track to build an economy. "

"China has called for an economic conference and all the countries of the region have been invited but Iraq has not attended, although our ties to the East are very important. China and India are interested in activating economic relations and the East, especially China and India, is willing to invest and work in Iraq unconditionally," Antoine said. Thamer Hymes

Celebrates some official and non-official circles on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Sino-Iraqi relations, after July 1958, and the calls to deepen these economic relations directly through the eighth session of the meeting of the Forum for Economic Cooperation in 2018/7/10, founded in 2014.

Perhaps one of the most important catalysts of Arab-Chinese economic cooperation is oil and the Silk Road. The other reason is part of international competition and its pressure on economic events because of the strategic and economic position of the Arab region.
The Chinese president noted earlier that his country and the Arab countries are partners in the natural cooperation in building the "Silk Belt and Road" initiative. The volume of trade exchange with the Arabs reached 200 billion dollars, as well as the signing of memorandums of understanding with nine Arab countries.
As China is the world's largest energy importer, it is natural to deal directly with its main source (the Gulf States, Iraq and Iran). China also has the technology to generate electricity from rock oil. The world's largest economy must be competitive with the Western economy.
Can Iraq bet on the Chinese economy not as a complete alternative but at least as a complement to crises? The situation of industry and local agriculture represents the main challenge, as they constitute about 5 percent of the national product. However, we have not seen the traditional or old ally in dealing with us, the revival of these two sectors. On the contrary, we touched on commodity dumping due to the intersection of trade with sustainable development according to some laws Which began immediately after 2003 and which is still operating so far.
Because our country is part of the road and sea "road and sea" initiative, the dry dock project should be activated from FAO to Turkey, which may help stimulate trade, production and tourism as a first step to eliminate the consequences of non-integrated trade with the rest of the sectors to put our foot on the path of sustainable development. Oil revenues that did not reduce poverty rates.
It is now necessary to redraw the map of our economy in the real interest and reduce the negative phenomena that intersect with development in the sectors of agriculture, industry and tourism projects; economic relations should be employed that will result in strengthening the infrastructure which is the top priority for all governments.

Economy News _ Baghdad

Syrian Transport Minister Ali Hammoud said linking Syria, Iraq and Iran with railways is a priority for his ministry and its strategic vision to develop relations.
The Syrian minister said during a meeting with the head of the Syrian-Iraqi company, who is visiting Syria these days, that "the linking process will take place across the border Shalmgeh, pointing to the need to establish 32 kilometers of railways in the Iraqi territory to connect the Basra railway line associated with Baghdad, Karbala, Iraq".
He said the linking process would enable Iraqis to travel to various parts of Iran as well as transit to Syria and exchange of goods.
Hamoud added that the planned rail network is linked to Central Asian networks, which are linked to the China and Russia railways, noting that the linking process will also enable Iraq to transfer its citizens and goods to Russia and China via Iran, including Syria.
He pointed out that this railway network will be part of the Silk Road system, which Damascus seeks to pass through Syrian territory.
Hamoud said the railways would enable visitors to the holy shrines in Iraq and Syria to travel by rail, and then connect the Syrian rail to the port of Latakia.

HEY EVERYBODY!!!

Call ME Crazy OR A Fool (preferably BOTH, I suspect :lmao:   :lmao:   :lmao:) !!!

ONE of the reasons why I believe THIS to be a heart to THIS Speculative Bicraqi Iraqi Dinar Investment is the POWERING UP of the Old Silk Road for regional INTERNATIONALIZED Commerce!!!!

Just nominally twenty (20) stinkin' miles (nominal equivalent of 32 kilometers) of railway to make THIS ALL Happen!!!

:backflip:       :backflip:       :backflip:

The United States Of America is in Afghanistan AND Iraq that are SIGNIFICANT pieces of THIS Silk Road AND are prime "Economic Development" areas with NEEDED Infrastructure!!! The Iron Camel Train, er, Iron Horse Rail Road is NEARLY ALL Established!!! There is MONAE' to be HAD bringing THESE "Economic Areas" "On Line" with THEIR " Natural Resources"!!!!!!!

Next UP - INTERNATIONAL Bicraqi Iraqi Dinar!!!

YYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH BBBBBBBBAAAAAAAABBBBBBYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My opinion ONLY is THIS is the WHOLE REASON for Richard Nixon beginning the World Economic Reintegration of China in 1972 on the World Economic Stage AND ensuring Iran (under the Shah) could defend themselves with F-14 Tomcats (delivered nominally 1974 - 1979 before the Insanian Revolution with subsequent Hostage Crisis under the watch of Flimsy Carter) from foreign entities since both China AND Iran are essential pieces for the traverse of goods for INTERNATIONAL Trade!!!

I suspect Iran will become "SUDDENLY" more compliant since the INTERNATIONAL Commerce with Iran will ONLY fund nefarious purposes contrary to the WHOLE REASON for the Silk Road Reestablishment IF the Insanians ARE NOT Permanently Removed for "General Purposes"!!!

Also, THIS FUNCTIONAL traversal of INTERNATIONAL Goods COULD play a role in the "SUDDENLY" Solution to The United States Of America AND China Trade Rift!!! Not an ADVERTISED Connection, of course!!!

WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, OK, just my conjecture, thoughts, opinion, and :twocents: for whatever THAT is worth!!! Hey, I might REALLY be a nut job or somethin"!!! CAVEAT EMPTOR, Reader!!! :o
