I see both sides, but do you need a 30 clip to go deer hunting. That would be like putting a pile of corn in a open field and hunting over the corn. Iowa that is not legal but I  know people that do this anyway.  You might need to go hunting inside a mall or a school for people with that kind of fire power. This is what it is all about. No one is going to take your guns from you but do you need military styles of weapons. It is part of the constitution that we have a gun but the idea that we need a large clip to take down as many people as possible and as fast as possible is not common sense practice.

Switzerland probably does not issue an automatic weapon or a gun with a thirty bullet clip. I have heard it mention that anything that manufactures can produce is what the gun people think they need. Do we need to start arming ourselves with bombs because they are manufactured also? Common sense tells most people that normal people do not need 25 or 30 guns to protect themselves.

 

I voted for Obama and am in favor of this black president. The goof balls in the house and senate that of both parties are so stubborn that they are the one taking this county down this path. The president can suggest but he can not command a change. Obama is a well liked president by a high percentage of people.

It is our right to have guns to protect ourselves from the very government that would quickly take our freedoms from us. Did you not understand the historical posting by Kaduku? I need them to possibly have to kill people. Period. Weather its a government gone mad or a break down of society from a collapsed dollar or a natural catastrophe. I may be in a position to have to fight off a large body of men. Who may also be possibly armed. I have a large clan. So why wouldn't I If i'm the one in my clan that can afford it. Have as many guns as I need. Every gun I place in the hands of a family member. Insures my families existence. It is my god given right to protect myself and my clan and my country.

The 30 clip is for dictator governments.  Our constitution allow the overthrow of the government in the events of wiping their arses with the constitution.  Congress shall make no law regarding religion for instance.  They have decided to stop kids from prayer in public.  That's unconstitutional.  It's their "right" not privilege.  Having a gun is a right and not a privilege.  It's not good law abiding citizens who kill people.  The all the guns laws in the world will only help the criminals to do their crimes with no recourse of the innocent unarmed by government citizen.  If your a criminal, you don't give a hoot about any laws, especially gun laws.  

One day I believe we will all see the effects of having or not having a gun when the s#it hits the fan here and the government decides it knows what is best for us.   Just like Hitler decided what was best for the world. They're don't know now what's best.  They are completely out of touch of the real world in the middle and lower class.   They exploit the lower class for their gain.  They lie to them and being low class and not as educated they fall, hook, line, and sinker.

The reason for the 2nd Amendment is not for deer hunting- it's so we can protect ourselves from our own government. If you don't believe me, just read what the founding fathers said. They understood human nature and the depths that it could reach and wanted to do what they could to make sure tyranny wouldn't reign here. 

 

It's amazing that they risked their lives to fight a Revolutionary war for freedom from tyranny over a 2% tax, and we meekly accept 20 to 30 times that amount in taxation, between the Federal, state and local governments. I'm independent, and mad at the Republicans for not standing up strongly enough against the ridiculous and immoral spending of the Democrats. Imagine coming to power by promising to give out more money than your opponents- that's nothing but a bribe before the fact- and if you had tried it 200 years ago, it might have got you hanged- but today, it's just politics as usual - but it's also why a welfare or socialist state always fails. People keep voting themselves more and more of the treasury until we all go bankrupt- which we obviously are already- being some 16 trillion dollars in debt. 

 

And besides all the personal attacks on our freedoms, it wouldn't surprise me at all, if the megalomaniac in the White House has been stopping the RV until he can figure out how he can get credit for it. He has brought grandstanding and deception to new heights, even for politicians.

It's not about deer hunting. It's about protecting our rights as free human beings. I suggest you read our constitution about why "the right to bear arms" was put into our constitution in the first place. Its to protect us "free beings" from power hungry rogue govt types who want to rule over you (unless you like that kinda thing, feel free to support the gun grab)

Tell that to the Korean shop owners during the Rodney King riots. Those thirty round clips and the AR-15s they were plugged into are the only reason those Koreans are here today.
