I really doubt that Obama mother or grandparents were communist. I did not check into this at all. Most of the people that did not vote for Obama thinks he is not a American. The first FBI investigation would have kicked Obama out for that one. Fox is still talking about that too. A few years ago I went through a Dept. of Justice security clearance. My son has been through several TS clearances as a Marine and both of those clearances would have shown where and when Obama was born. What most people see in President Obama is that he cares and tries to do the right thing for people . Romney money making ventures of getting rid of American jobs so China could have those jobs was why a very large amount of people voted against Romney and voted for Obama. Romney attitude about his own taxes was another killer for Romney, besides the 47%. I think he was the only person that has EVER applied for the job as President and did not want to give out his taxes. Romney father even gave out the average of 10 to 15 years of taxes. Romney cares about his money and Obama cares about the people. That is one big difference between the Republican and Democrat parties. Bottom line is that the Democrats has been the party of the working people for as long as I have been alive and the Republicans has been the party of the rich and famous. Have at it. I serves my time in the 1960s.

eastcreek Just read the CNN article and that tells you why people do not believe in the Republican party. It does not mean that anyone that has a different opinion than you is a communist. Education and a likeable person is why President Obama got elected by about 53 or 54% of the people. Republican Convention is starting to realize that fact after the election. Name calling does nothing for education. Enough said....

That is the same way with Fox news also. Problem with Fox is they do not know the difference in a lie and the truth but the worse part is they could care less what is a lie or the truth.

I made reference to his color only for the reason that most likely the southern part of the US voted against President Obama because he is black. I have no problem with this issue. I have no problem with a Native American or anyone that is not white. As long as they demostrate that they have the education and temperment to do the job well and not think they are God gift to man like Romney and his wife because they have money. This last election was just dumb. Any one of the other Republican people would have been better than Romney. Just because you close down plants and ship alot of jobs overseas and make alot of money doing it does not make you a good president. You people as Mrs Romney refered to some people wanting more than 2 years of tax returns. My apology for refering to President Obama as black but I really to like this guy and what he stands for. He is a good man and a good family man. He is a very educated man and I respect him for that. People make fun of him for being President of Harvard Law Review. This is the cream of the corp people and education is the key.

I see both sides, but do you need a 30 clip to go deer hunting. That would be like putting a pile of corn in a open field and hunting over the corn. Iowa that is not legal but I know people that do this anyway. You might need to go hunting inside a mall or a school for people with that kind of fire power. This is what it is all about. No one is going to take your guns from you but do you need military styles of weapons. It is part of the constitution that we have a gun but the idea that we need a large clip to take down as many people as possible and as fast as possible is not common sense practice. Switzerland probably does not issue an automatic weapon or a gun with a thirty bullet clip. I have heard it mention that anything that manufactures can produce is what the gun people think they need. Do we need to start arming ourselves with bombs because they are manufactured also? Common sense tells most people that normal people do not need 25 or 30 guns to protect themselves. I voted for Obama and am in favor of this black president. The goof balls in the house and senate that of both parties are so stubborn that they are the one taking this county down this path. The president can suggest but he can not command a change. Obama is a well liked president by a high percentage of people.

Totally agree. Bush 2 started 2 wars and never paid for or attempted to help pay for any of the 4 T$ debt. Bush handed Obama that 4T$ to pay off. Obama has increased that debt by another 2 T$ to keep us going. Obama is for the average Joe. This is why he has won the last two elections. A lot of the war debt is getting paid now but it is hard, Someone has to pay for all the missiles that was sent into Iraq. We would not be in this investment other than Bush, he is the most hated president of modern time. Any time a president sends a 19 year old or 22 or 35 year old to his death, that parent is going to hate the responsible president. I could go on about the good thinks of Obama and Fox news will indicate the false twist to it all. How much time and money was wasted on the birth cert? Don't you think that information would have come out with his first back ground check. I am looking forward to the RV just like the rest of you but I do hate the Bush 2. I have a son that is a US Marine that is EOD. I have been a democrat since the 1960 Kennedy election because the democrats are for the working people and that is the bottom line from a 66 year old refrigeration mech that is still working. Hopefully this IDR will help me slow down and help me retire one of these days

I live in Iowa and most of my family including myself, voted for Obama. I have a first cousin that is a family MD, he voted Obama also. He told me that that what he sees is the health care is working and it is helping people. That is the important issue. It will not effect him much because all the electronic stuff has already been put into place to make things more effiecent in his office and organization. Most of Iowa health care has already gone electronic for the doctors. The hospitals will have to make some changes though. Releasing people to early and them having to go back into the hospital is making the hospitals MONEY but that is something that will have to stopped or at least helped by Obama care. Most of the women I know have voted for Obama because of the war on women. Most of them do not want to be taken back 80 years for rights. That goes along with others that do not want to go backwards. Per most of the news cast and tracking on the election, old men and women and the religious right wing voted for Romney and the rest of us voted for Obama. I am a young man of 66 going on 67. I am hoping to retire at the end of next year, earlier if this dinar will ever RV.

But Stupid Iowa dicided to retain a Rupub that wants to take children to dog fights. Steve King is the most stupid human of some kind of species. He was the only one that voted for it out of all the Dem and Repubs. Tell me what he thinks of our children.
