Francie26
This video starts with part of one of that guy who blew up the plane over Lockerbie. Scotland at Christmastime several years ago--this is video of him getting off the plane when Scotland released him to Libya. I thought it would have something to do with Malachi, but I didn't see that. This was followed by a video that included the dictator of Syria. So it appears that it is just cobbled together from pieces and shards, and is not recent and pertinent to our discussion.

Butifldrm
Thanks SWFG. I feel so sorry for Talibani having to put up with these knuckle heads. He is and has been truly a Saint through this whole process. No one could love Iraq more than him.

KamelKeeper
Thanks SWFG. I am on a little laptop at the moment that has no memory, so I buffering away and unable to watch. I have a hard time getting my head wrapped around someone like Sadr, with those disgusting teeth, deplaning from a private jet, and not a camel in sight. It just isn't right (as Mika would say). aaanth
it doesn't say anywhere in the video that the no confidence has failed. it says talibani wants dialogue. they actually don't need talibani. they can just vote maliki out in parliament. that's what i see happening. that way talibani can say "hey, i didn't do it"... and the video was dated june 1st as has been mentioned. that was about 2 years ago in terms of how fast this thing is moving. did you hear about the facebook campaign? the street is calling for maliki's head! the PEOPLE want him out. guess he'd better start a "criminal investigation" regarding those FB posters, huh? lol Edited June 6, 2012 by aaanth

zigmeister
Maybe it is me, but what I came away with in this video was, they really want to put pressure on Maliki to move and finish business he promised. On the whole I question they really want to kick him out. Now people can say the Iraqi's do not like him, but I happen to believe our fellow DV patron, roadrunner. He works there, he works with the Iraqi's I would imagine he has a pretty good sense of the political flavor there. What he has said, the Iraqi people see Maliki as a strong leader. Roadrunner mentioned if Maliki buckles he might as well pack his bags because the people will boot him out. Imo if they kick him out the people just may revolt.....this is more tenuous than we know for people.

I wonder if the people of Iraq do love him because the media tells them how wonderful he is and how much he cares for them. Of course, Maliki controls the media............The Fab Five needed a good PR program before they started this no confidence campaign. It is hard to imagine with 30% unempoloyment, no electricty, rotting food, no clean water, blah blah blah, that a good PR program shown on those big megatron screens would not change a few minds. 2

Your post smacks of narcissism, at it's finest. I suspect that's why I disagree with you often. I'm kind of tired tonight, but this is something we miss here on DV. We come from our perspective, Maliki has not brought them out of poverty, so on and so forth. I am recalling something Highlander mentioned their electricity sucks, but it is better than when Sadam ruled the land. To them this is improvement. We are also talking about Arabs vs Kurds. It is tribal, this is something we as Americans do not understand. But having lived near a reservation where two different native american tribes were forced to live with each other....I understand some of the dynamics. They are not much different. Strength is in the leader who does not bend. Compromise is seen as weak. It takes forever for decisions to come to fruition. Maybe Iraq needs casino's. Just my thoughts. Please don't spit on me, Trixie did twice today, wrong nail polish and we don't have TV.
