So they are coming up with regulations to manage the mass transit system in the whole of Iraq. Verses maintaining the territorial patchwork of disconnected corrupt rules that currently "regulate" the taxi system within Iraqi towns and provinces,  while also risking the population they serve ? Is that correct ? So another source of corruption bites the dust.

Service Pack

The Ministry of Transport is trying to use the method of setting up counters in taxis, which in any case is a civilized phenomenon and aims to achieve a balance between taxi prices and citizens' income.
But perhaps there is economic feasibility of this service under the conditions of the street irregular traffic due to overcrowding, as the measure aims to alleviate the burden of citizens and not to be exploited by some taxi drivers by imposing large sums of money on them without right - according to the General Company for Transport Management The private-.
We believe that choosing the timing to launch this service may be premature because we need to integrate a package of services related to the application of this service and others.
As for the country and the government in the process of economic reforms must be accompanied by the organization of services; so it was the Ministry of Transport study the subject with several operational bodies concerned for the success of this service and from these public traffic and the Secretariat of Baghdad and the ministries of trade and municipalities and reconstruction to organize services in one package and integrated to be successful .
It is true that the project is characterized by the advantages of central connectivity of all taxis and installation of a meter inside the vehicle, with surveillance cameras, but the problem of traffic and congestion and the problem of preparing cars and imports without regulation and streets and bumps and the need for tiling and cover and all other services overlap need to carefully organize and study the success of any initiative.
And then the average size of cars does not fit with the capacity of the streets, it is necessary to work in the style of punctuation of the old cars to reduce the momentum and then most of the streets are witnessing continuous cuts; despite the start of the process of lifting barriers and symptoms but not enough and need to expand and build streets hanging in the capital, Not
 enough.
We are on the threshold of the new year 2018 and that large reconstruction and reconstruction campaigns will be witnessed in Iraq. This service package must be present in the minds of planners and decision-makers so that the construction process can be integrated in line with the requirements of economic reform as well.
It is important to note here that the import of meters with high costs may be borne by the state and the owner of the car owner of the consequences of the consequences of little benefit with the survival of other services are not implemented and in order to allow the finger pointing to the existence of corruption behind this deal, we believe deferred until the implementation of services in one package Islam and God behind the intent.

thanks yota , iraq needs so much of everything in all areas of the country my mind continues to go back to the wasted years of maliki's goi ,  the stage the country is currently at now should have been when big M was installed years ago if it was not for the billions pumped into iraq it would be a wasteland but on the other hand everyone in leadership positions seemed to not have any issues at all stealing the infidels wealth flown in by the pallet loads meant for their success. it just seems so crazy what has taken place , still hopeful for their future success ... To those here that celebrate Christmas and those that do not enjoy the holiday.... Isaiah 9:6 :tiphat:

"

The Director of Information in the Ministry of Transport, Laith al-Rubaie, said that "the installation of counters in the taxi cars is still an idea to re-work, as it was previously applied in Iraq and the next steps, is to restore the system."
Al-Rubaie added that "the public company for the management of private transport is currently trying to re-operate the meter system on public transport vehicles," pointing out that "the application of the meter system is related to the re-operation of a decision invalidated from the previous system, which canceled the idea of working meters from the ground" .
He added that "the public company is working to complete all the procedures to re-draft the decision and restart the system counters," noting that "there are no official times to announce the start of the implementation of the decision to operate the meter system, because we did not get the necessary approvals," noting that "is in the development of schedules and plans sites The areas that are gaining momentum and traffic during the week, and determine most of the time, and therefore are calculated on kilometers, taking into account the special circumstances, such as road blocks and roads and overcrowded areas.
Al-Rubaie pointed out that "the system serves the citizen and the state, because the high taxi fees will be compressed by public transport vehicles," noting that "their revenues will enter the budget because most of the transport vehicles are not registered and the application of the counters will be listed within the lists of regular income to the budget, pointing out that "The absence of contracts with certain companies, because we did not start the application and the meter system is still an idea to move to apply in the coming period."

He added that "the amounts deducted as a taxi fare, should be calculated on the basis of the hours, ie parking of the car stops the work of the meter, and thus ensure that the minutes and hours and money added to the taxi tenant's salary," pointing to the need to " A study tour of the countries that operate the taxi counters and select a competent committee to go to a specific country and the feasibility study and the development of elaborate plans to install these meters and the application of experience in Iraq.
Al-Fakiki pointed out that there should be a study by the General Company for Private Transport to use the meter in private taxis. The Planning Department should work with the relevant departments to carry out an integrated study that includes the best way to calculate the fare within the meter, The distance and the time, in addition to the social situation of the individual, all are within the equation of whether the owner of the taxi or the citizen to take a decision in this matter.
He pointed out that "there is the transfer of taxis mobile within the province, and there are the transfer of stations (garages) between the provinces and districts, districts and districts itself, and for transport outside the province, the amount of the fare must be priced and approved by the private transport company and the Ministry of Transport.
Abu Mohammed, a taxi driver from the Zafaraniya area, said that "the government has to open the main streets closed to be an aid in absorbing the momentum and daily traffic in the streets of the capital, Baghdad, adding to the (range) that" the installation of counters on the taxi will burden us as drivers, These meters will read the cost more expensive than the price today from one area to another, so the citizen plays the rental of taxis for high cost with the presence of long hours that expire in the queues of the daily traffic of the capital. "
Nizar Amer, another taxi driver from the new Baghdad area , "Installing the Dadat on taxi cars will solve the problems with the citizen who always objected to the cost of the fare from one area to another. "
Amer said in an interview with (range) that "taxi counters will help taxi drivers in the possibility of taking their financial benefits, especially with the many traffic congestion witnessed by the capital throughout the week and the closure of a number of main streets, in addition to security controls that increase the financial burden on motorists and citizens" .
