If this administration were to start rounding up people for anything, it should not only serve as proof, but also a wake up call to the rest of all Americans.

Oh snap! ... that is soooo NOT how I want to wake up.... ewwwwwww. Could we maybe set an alarm clock, and get up and out ahead of this? Or at least figure out which group is gonna bust out the other group in the event this is how we wake up?

For what its worth... if we don't set the alarm clock, my guess is this will unfold very slowly, a piece at a time... see how much can be pushed through, bit by bit, until one day, its all over and that's how we are awakened.... when its too late...

By that time you'll have to send a carrier pigeon to reach me, but I'll do what I can to come bust your azz out.... B)

I suggest dont listen to those who are saying don't sign the petition just sign and see what happens. Don't let anyone tell you what not to do.

Sign up folks to leave the Union. But remember who is using these petitions. Are you using your real name and once they goggle you before you know your personal information is compromised and you find yourself with several banks accounts overdrawn and cell phone not the free ones in your name.

Sometimes the chance is worth the risk to take a stand. All they ask for are your email, first and last name, and zip code. Pretty general information. No phone number at all. Anyone who really wants to get that information about you can get it anyway.

On the backs of slaves?

And it looks like Mr. Oops (Rick Perry) isn't in to the idea of Texas seceding.

I know you are stating a point of fact but I never brought that issue into this. I am not a hate monger so please don't assume that about me. I am a direct descendants of Cajun slaves who were brought here from France and fled from Canada and the British rule. And I am a descendant of white slaves that were forced to build and work the fields they made this country what it is today. I can't help how we got to where we got as a country but I have faith and hope enough to know that hatred is not the way. So please don't turn this into a negative! People just want their voice to be heard and sometimes we have go to extremes to be heard that's why the peaceful requests have been made.

Yes, TRIPP...

songs of inspiration for those who love and celebrate their Republic.

Songs of hope one may sing under The Banner as they seek to restore their

Freedom & Liberty.

And interpretation of them as "rants" is ridiculous at best and quite disrespectful.

The thread ran way off track when hate reared it's ugly head, didn't it. :(

I agree! More of us here in the US need to re-listen to theses songs and what they really mean. They really aren't JUST songs, they are the heart beat of what it meant to belong to our GREAT REPUBLIC! People don't even realize that we are NOT a democracy but a REPUBLIC. We have strayed so far SgtFury. It breaks my heart.

Why would you expect Perry to be "into the idea..." ? -- He is profiting from the BS. Texans might want to start a state petition to remove Mr. Oops.

So, you never in your life made a mis-statement or had an oops! FYI Governor Perry still has a 56% approval rating in our state.

Our state is #1 in job creation, we have a surplus in our budget, and a new program to help college students - all without a state

income tax. :P
