National Alliance failed for the third straight day to choose a candidate for the presidency of prime minister in line after the end of the five-day deadline set by the coalition to a candidate from among candidates, Adel Abdul Mahdi, Nouri Al-Maliki.

Sources said within the coalition, the Supreme Council has continued to attend meetings of the National Alliance, which led to the postponement of the meeting to be held tomorrow Thursday.

The sources added that all delegations had been unable to convince the Supreme Council to attend the meetings of the National Alliance, which resulted in non-compliance.

Unbelievable !!! I cannot fathom how they can get away with this. Can't even Imagine George W. losing for his second term and saying " Nope" not stepping down, so there !!!

You know it's getting deep when they don't even bother to send out contradictory articles anymore but instead just put the contradictions in the same article and back to back in two paragraphs:

Paragraph 2:

Sources said within the coalition, the Supreme Council HAS CONTINUED TO ATTEND meetings of the National Alliance, which led to the postponement of the meeting to be held tomorrow Thursday.

Paragraph 3:

The sources added that all delegations had been UNABLE TO CONVINCE THE SUPREME COUNCIL TO ATTEND THE MEETINGS of the National Alliance, which resulted in non-compliance.

Glad they sent out a press release to clarify things ........
