ronscarpa
REMEMBER, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... RON Clare Article: "Iraqis banned from trading in US dollar" Quote: "The Iraqi Ministry of Interior issued a ban...prohibiting traders and civilians from conducting business in the United States (US) dollar," Frank26 [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] FIREFLY: They say now we are banned from using dollar here and we will be held accountable if used dollar in any way. It seems that we're getting close to something dramatic happening..! 1 4 4

IMHO. Iraq can't stop all USD transactions. What happens when Iraqis travel to US or purchase property in US? What do Iraqis do when they want to invest in Wall Street or US business? Some Iraq-US exchanges will still be done in USD. IMHO. 1 3

May be Iraqi citizens are only allowed to trade in dinar for dollars at the airport if they just want to travel out of iraq ( to go for a vacation, etc ).
