I’ve avoided this topic for the longest time, particularly because it’s hard to visualize the magnitude of all the problems; however, it’s even harder to imagine the downstream ramifications if these structural changes don’t occur immediately. For decades, Iraq’s economy has experienced a continuous downward spiral. If intervention didn’t occur from the world community, a destabilizing economic nightmare would be realized in the region that would be felt globally.

This is the first of a series of three POST. The topics and sequence are listed below:
