Starting to raise the ruins of Sinjar under American auspices

{International: Al Furat News} The United States Agency for International Development announced, on Monday, the start of a project to remove rubble from the Sinjar district of Nineveh Governorate, northern Iraq, two days after the entry into force of the agreement (Baghdad-Erbil) to administer the judiciary.

The Sinjar district was subjected to the destruction of infrastructure and civilian property after ISIS took control of the district in the summer of 2014, after which the district came under the control of PKK terrorist elements.
On October 9, an agreement was concluded between the governments of Baghdad and Erbil to jointly administer Sinjar and expel all armed groups, led by the "PKK" terrorist organization, in preparation for the return of the displaced.
Last Saturday, the Ministry of Defense announced the start of the implementation of the "Sinjar" agreement, by deploying a contingent of the Federal Police.
And on Monday, the United States Agency for Development said in a statement: "A project to remove the rubble of destroyed buildings in the Sinjar district center and the Sinjar Qantara area in the Old City has been launched."
The statement stated that "removing rubble is part of the project to help make communities safer."
The "PKK" had established a foothold in Nineveh, especially the district of Sinjar, west of the governorate, when the terrorist ISIS invaded the region in the summer of 2014, and established the so-called "Sinjar Protection Units" there.
PKK militants are still spreading in the area despite repeated requests from the local authorities, as well as the northern Kurdistan region, to leave the area.
The presence of the terrorist organization prevents the people of Sinjar from returning to the areas from which they were displaced.

Al-Kazemi sponsors the Sinjar agreement

The Independent ... the mayor of the Sinjar district , former deputy Mahma Khalil Ali Agha, expressed his conviction that the agreement concluded between the governments of the center and the region regarding Sinjar district is the solution to save the judiciary and its people, after six years of suffering and not granting rights, relief and relieving them of displacement.

Today, Thursday, Ali Agha said, “The people of Sinjar are tired of the many appeals during six years, during which they were exposed to the most heinous crime committed in history by ISIS terrorist gangs, and despite what they were subjected to in terms of captivity, kidnapping, exodus and mass graves, they clung to life in the hope of them that The partners in the homeland stand with them, but to no avail. ”

He added, “The people of the judiciary have nothing left but the only hope to return to their normal lives, from the agreement between the governments of the center and the region. With the presence of a force from outside the borders controlling their fate and terrorizing them and preventing their return to their homes.

And he added, “But this agreement remains incomplete without the mobilization of national efforts, which require everyone to heal the wounds of the people, by granting the simplest necessities of life, and this strongly pushes us to appeal to all the good people in the country, starting with its leaders in the three presidencies and the presidency of the Kurdistan region, as well as the personalities. Influential patriotism, to take seriously the issue of the people of the judiciary, grant them the most basic rights and encourage them to return to their homes.

He continued, "This matter must take place through a set of measures in which security, economic, social, service, administrative and humanitarian efforts are combined, as well as international efforts that must be present to complete the cycle of these efforts and start building the judiciary and compensating the displaced, and the people of Sinjar financially and morally."

Ali Agha pointed out, "The people of the district, with all its social and religious components, are standing at the gates of winter under difficult human, climatic and health conditions, in addition to their confrontation with the Corona virus, which has killed the people just like the rest of the regions."

And he demanded "extending a helping hand to the people of the judiciary, and providing it with all the logistics that the government must provide in cooperation with international organizations urgently before it is too late, to pass the current difficult stage, and before starting to rebuild the collapsed infrastructure in the district."

Yazidi activist Jalal Al-Yasiri announced Thursday that the Sinjar agreement between the central and local government made the Yazidi street split between Moida and those opposed to it, and they are awaiting results.

In an interview with Al-Ahed News Agency, Al-Yasiri said, “The agreement signed between Erbil and Baghdad regarding the situation in the judiciary made the Yazidis split between supporters and opponents of the agreement, and they are currently awaiting the results of the agreement after it entered into force with the entry of the Federal Police forces to the judiciary.

He added, "The agreement came after the occurrence of many problems inside the district due to the presence of multiple forces in it."

He explained that "the people of the judiciary strongly rejected the agreement at the beginning of the matter, but there has been a change in the situation after the recent discussions, and they are awaiting the results of the agreement in the coming days.
