A source close to the Prime Minister-designate, Adnan Al-Zorfi, revealed on Sunday that the latter had completed his cabinet, which he said was from "independent experts and academics."

"There are a number of lists containing the names of the candidates that have been studied by the Prime Minister-designate in order to choose the most appropriate to take over the ministerial portfolios in the next government," the source, who declined to be named, told Shafaq News.

He added that "Al-Zrafi is nearing the end of the cabinet file after selecting a number of candidates for this position," noting that "the candidates who were chosen for the government from all Iraqi components are experts and independent academics."

On March 16th, the President of the Republic tasked Barham Salih, the head of the parliamentary victory bloc, Adnan al-Zarfi, to form the new government within 30 days. This mandate came after the "Seven Committee" of the Shiite forces failed to reach agreement on a specific candidate.

Al-Zrafi faces rejection from prominent Shiite forces close to Iran, headed by Hadi al-Amiri, the Al-Fateh coalition, and the State of Law coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki, and pushed it to form a new seven-party committee to choose an alternative to al-Zorfi. But a parliamentary source told Shafaq News a few days ago that Al-Zarfi had succeeded in penetrating the ranks of the Shiite forces opposing his assignment, and he persuaded about 100 deputies to give confidence to his government in Parliament.

The Kurdistan Democratic Bloc confirmed, on Monday, its support for a candidate obtaining a Shiite consensus for prime minister, calling on Shiite forces to unify their position on a candidate for prime minister.

The bloc's deputy, Ahmed Al-Saffar, told Shafaq News, "The Kurdistan Democratic Party has no problem or objected to any figure that the Shiite forces deem appropriate for the prime minister, given that the position belongs to the Shiite component."

He added that "the Kurdish parties do not interfere in the issue of choosing a candidate for prime minister," calling at the same time Shiite forces to "unify their position in light of the current crisis and choose their candidate to form the next government."

On Al-Zorfi, Between Al-Saffar, "According to my personal opinion, the Prime Minister-designate possesses extensive economic and financial information, in addition to his administrative experience as he was conservative of Najaf earlier, this requires the Shiite forces to give room and ample space for Al-Zorfi to form the government in the coming period until the time The election".

30th March, 2020

The former official in charge of forming the government, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, confirmed today, Monday, that the Kurds, at first, requested the nomination of non-independent ministers (their share of 3 ministries) because they are a region and need political representation in the government.

Allawi said in a radio interview followed by / Mawazine News /, that he "suggested to them that they nominate 3 independent personalities for each ministry and in my turn chose a person who meets the conditions of integrity, and to ensure the political representation of the region, then we will create a" Ministry of State for the Region "where a politician is nominated by the Kurds (At the level of Deputy Prime Minister.)

He added, “The Kurds agreed to that at last.” But they stipulated that I satisfy Al-Halbousi (you understand him), so I understood from their words that there is an agreement between them that the Kurds and Halbousi only go together.”

Report: Corona crisis is the last straw in the coffin of the political system in Iraq

fit

The Wall Street Journal said the Coruna Storm could be the last straw in the coffin of the political system in Iraq, with the government failing to contain diminishing oil revenues, deteriorating services, and disrupting public life.

The newspaper stated that the Iraqi state institutions are already collapsing due to the drop in oil prices, the collapse of health infrastructure and the state of geopolitical chaos in light of the exchange of threats between Washington and Tehran, attributing this to the rampant corruption that dominated the political system in 2003.

The Wall Street Journal added that Iraq at this time The embarrassment needs a stable political leadership, but political differences and ignoring the demands of the demonstrators have brought the country to the point of collapse and Iranian-backed groups have become more aggressive in threatening US interests, prompting Washington to reposition its forces so that they can deal with the attack. The missile is more convenient

The newspaper concluded by emphasizing that the current moment in Iraq is the greatest opportunity ever to get rid of the political system, which since 2003 has been concerned with monopolizing state resources and enriching patronage networks at the expense of the Iraqi people.

Close the borders and airports - LOCK THAT COUNTRY DOWN !  FREEZE as many as possible [ in the middle of the night-whatever it takes ] everyone of these stinking criminal politicians bank accounts where ever those accounts are in the world are -THEN . . .send in the Iraqi military ( that haven't been bought and corrupted ) Under the DIRECT supervision of the US Military and arrest them in their homes dragging them out in their jammies.

2am works real well. . . coordinate the strike . . . it can be done. . . keep going, don't stop. Work around the clock.

BUST'EM,  bust as many as you can and keep going until every last one of them is wearing orange. Elections aren't the answer. You'll just elect a brand new mob of crooks.

You have to scrutinize every individual for the next election cycle to make sure there's no affiliation with previous crooks - nye on impossible in that country but there has to be some.

He added that "Al-Zrafi's negotiating team, which holds continuous meetings with the political blocs, began to offer temptations to the blocs in ministerial positions," noting that "the team has failed to persuade any blocs of temptations until now."

He explained that "the indicators show the inability of Al-Zrafi to persuade the blocs to pass his cabinet before the end of the constitutional period," noting that "even the blocs supporting him began to back down after the attempts of his negotiating team to offer temptations."

Shabandar: Common names as an option for Shi'a parties instead of Zarfi are inaccurate

image.jpeg.4dffa70568a0e1529581f881d87a98b2.jpeg

Independent politician Izzat Shabandar confirmed, on Monday, that the names in circulation as the option of the Shiite parties instead of the Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi are inaccurate.

"The names that some media circulate as an alternative option to Shiite parties that refuse to nominate Zarfi are inaccurate," Shabandar said in a tweet on Twitter.

He added, "Keeping those parties to reject them without a specific alternative weakens their ability to change and shakes their constitutional right to nominate."

The latest development of Al Zorfi’s cabin .. The Kurds are asking him to wait, and the Sunnis agree to a Shiite condition and division

image.jpeg.c08d8439836e504b34c131cc7ee842c1.jpeg

31st March, 2020

Half of the time granted to the Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi has passed, to choose his cabinet, and until now it has not been clear.

Kurds are demanding to wait and informed sources talk in an interview with / Mawazine News / about the desire of Al-Zrafi to visit the Kurdistan region to discuss with the Kurdish blocs about the shape of his cabinet. The sources said, "The Kurdish blocs asked Al-Zarfi to postpone his visit to the region, especially since she does not want to break with the old covenants with the Shiites, and they asked Al-Zarfi to obtain a Shiite consensus, or that the visit be in the last week of the deadline granted to him."

Shiite division

On the other hand, the Shiite blocs are divided over Al-Zarfi, so all the leaders led by Muqtada Al-Sadr and the Al-Nasr coalition led by Haider Al-Abadi support him, and the Al-Fateh coalition and the State of Law coalition reject it, and while Al-Fateh deputies say that Al-Zorfi's ministerial cabinet will not pass in the parliament, Al-Fateh representatives insist that there is a consensus to pass it. Adi Shaalan, a member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, said, "All indications show the repetition of the failure to hold the voting session on the government of the designated Adnan Al-Zarfi, as happened with his predecessor, especially after the widening scope of his rejection to reach representatives of the Sunni and Kurdish constituents," noting that "there is consensus among all The political forces on the importance of any candidate for prime minister receiving the support of the Shiite forces before proceeding to negotiate with him, given that the position is a component of the component." Al-Shaalan called on Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi to "apologize for forming the government to save face before the historic failure inside the parliament dome and his so-called cabin, because passing it would be stories of a thousand nights and nights."

The deputy’s statement on Al-Fateh is completely different from what the MP from Al-Nasr coalition Falih Al-Ziyadi said, saying that “Al-Zarfi started dialogues and negotiations with an increasing frequency with the various political blocs regarding forming the next government.” He added that "during the next two weeks, the formation of the government will be completed," stressing that "the Prime Minister is open to all the opposition and non-opposition political blocs." He pointed out that "there is almost a political consensus to pass the government formation of the Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi."

The Sunni political camp is divided into two parts, the first is heavily supportive of al-Zarfi and represents the wing of the old players, Jamal al-Karbouli and Osama al-Nujaifi, and the second section includes the new wing that includes Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, Muhammad al-Karbouli and Ahmad al-Juburi, "Abu Mazen", and this section requests ministries before support, according to the sources.

Its a stand off! LOL!  Between some blocs and the CoM (Council of Ministers).  The CoM need to ratify and vote on the amnesty law and the accountability & justice and send it to parliament for a vote.  Once this is done then parliament will vote on the antiquities, mesopotamian and other laws.  The CoM is playing a dangerous game here but they will blink...the people are watching:)  The CoM will hold an emergency meeting to vote on these two issues before sunday:)  Pray!!!

Also, the 3 homes that were on the border were demolished and they are finishing the border...YAHOOO! The conditions that were set by the UNSC have been completed (just the 3 homes) and the families were compensated:)  Great news!

      Cheers!
