Iraqi President Fuad Masum has refused to be accompanied by Vice-President Nouri al-Maliki to participate in the American Arab Islamic Summit, to be held in Saudi Arabia on May 21, press sources revealed on Thursday.

The sources said that Masum refused to be accompanied by al-Maliki as one of the members of his delegation to Saudi Arabia to participate in the upcoming summit.

The sources noted that this move uncovers a new development in the disputes between the two side.

The Iraqi president's attitude has angered al-Maliki, the sources stated.

He added that the next period is likely to witness an escalation in the conflicts and disputes between the two Iraqi officials.

This comes as the conflicts among politicians simmer as the elections date approaches. Consequently, each Iraqi political party tries to score political and physical gains.

Iraq is set to hold provincial elections later this year and parliamentary elections in 2018.

Saudi Arabia will host three conferences "hot" Saturday and Sunday

Journal May 19, 2017

BAGHDAD (Reuters) -

Turn attention to the Saudi capital Riyadh, which hosts three summit conferences usher in Saudi Arabia Summit of America on Saturday, followed by a summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the United States countries, the Arab and Islamic summit, which US Tntleghan on Sunday.

The complexity of the three summits under the theme of "Momentum brings us", came under this slogan that "at the time we collect the world to fight extremism and terrorism, we are working with our partners in the United States of America and the Muslim world to improve the living standards of the people of our nation and strengthen the common of our economies."

Launched in Saudi Arabia a website in four languages (Arabic, English, French, Russian), it lists the details of this event, where the three peaks program also includes "Mgrdon 2017" conference and the opening of the International Center for the fight against extremist thought, the exhibition Parallel Kingdom, and the Riyadh forum to combat extremism and fight terrorism, the Saudi American Forum for chief executives, and the visit of King Abdul Aziz historical Center.

Returning to the US-Saudi summit between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia and President Donald Trump, it is scheduled to discuss cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields, as well as discuss a number of regional and international issues and files of common interest .

King Salman bin Abdul Aziz has stressed that the US-Saudi summit will strengthen relations and global security and stability, and that it will establish a partnership in the face of extremism and tolerance .. He expressed confidence that the Saudi summit talks the US will contribute to the promotion and consolidation of strategic relations between the two countries in many fields and aspects of cooperation between them on various issues on the regional and international arenas so as to enhance global security and stability.

The Arab-American Islamic Summit scheduled to be attended by more than fifty of the leaders of the countries of the Islamic world and the United States, it seeks to renew our common global security commitment, economic partnerships, political and cultural construction and cooperation, combating and preventing the growing international threats of terrorism and extremism through the promotion of values tolerance and moderation.

The complexity of the Arab-American Islamic summit in light of the challenges of accurate and conditions experienced by the whole world, a summit of reliable in helping to establish a new partnership in the face of extremism and terrorism, spreading the values of tolerance and coexistence, and promote mutual cooperation between the two sides.

It is scheduled to US President Donald Trump cast a speech at the summit on "peaceful vision" of Islam, in his first foreign visit after his proposal during his campaign "to prevent the entry of Muslims to the United States."

He says US National Security Adviser Gen. Herbert Raymond McMaster, said that Trump will deliver a speech aimed at "mobilizing the Muslim world against the common enemies of civilization, and demonstrate the commitment of the United States towards Muslims our partners."

Observers believe that the success of this summit depends on a number of conditions imposed by the existing situation, international, Islamic and Arab world which, coming Palestinian thorny issue and try to find a just settlement to her, on top of the priorities of the agenda, and to accelerate the development of a solution to this issue by enabling the Palestinian people to establish their own independent on the borders of June 1967 and East Jerusalem as its capital, it is a testament to the success of the summit.

The Syrian crisis is also topping the scene in the Arab-American Islamic summit meetings, a crisis which is seen as the "toughest challenge" faced by the US president in the field of foreign policy, amid Washington's claims to take action after the chemical attack on the town / Khan Shaikhoun / Syrian Idlib province, which resulted in the for the killing of dozens of civilians, which is what Trump considered it "exceeded the red lines stages" and that it can not tolerate these "heinous by Bashar al-Assad's regime acts."

Although unlike the Muslim world with the United States in a number of issues, files, and how to deal, and perhaps the Palestinian issue is the most prominent example, but the relations between the two sides is witnessing a convergence and agreement in many areas, whether political, economic, cultural, scientific or educational, which can be half upscale.

Perhaps the beginning of the direction of the United States to open a dialogue with the Muslim world was with an atheist of September 2001 events, where he embarked on Washington after the event to dialogue with the Muslim world to confront the scourge of terrorism and counter extremist ideology, and was one of the channels of this dialogue through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation ( Organization of the Islamic Conference previously) as a combined voice of the Muslim world, and whose membership includes 57 Islamic state.

In 2007, former US President George W. Bush Jr. announced during his visit to the Islamic Center in Washington for his decision to create the post / special envoy to the OIC /, in order to strengthen links with the Islamic world and improving the image of the United States.

President Bush said, then, "This is an opportunity for Americans to show their desire to Muslim communities in respectful dialogue and continuing friendship", this has been the beginning of a constructive and beneficial relationship between the United States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

This cooperation has evolved to include areas of humanitarian work, where the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the United States Agency for International Development in 2012 and was renovated in 2016, which sets the framework for milestones in cooperation, which includes mutual consultations and strategic dialogue and exchange of information and participation in the coordination process.

With the growing feelings of hatred for Muslims in the West, the Islamic Cooperation Organization and the United States and the European Union signed the Resolution No. 16/18 of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations on "Combating intolerance, negative stereotyping, stigmatization, discrimination, incitement to violence and practice against people because of their religion or belief "this March 2011, and months later launched" Istanbul track "co-chaired by the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic cooperation US Secretary of State, where he issued a joint statement called on all stakeholders in the world to take seriously the call to action, which came in Qara R. No. 16/18, which contributes to strengthening the foundations of tolerance and respect for religious diversity and the promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms and protection across the world.

I remember many articles from the last 4 years of how it was stated that the dinar would be in the basket of currencies from the gulf states and that the dollar would have the lion's share of the basket. Right after trump won the election the gcc came out with an emergency meeting stating how they needed to get all their joint action resolutions put to work. I have watched and read this for over 4 years but it seems like they couldnt get anywhere and things were always stalled. I wonder how much obama had to do with that because since trump came along they are all humming his tune and moving faster than they have for 4 years. I am really excited about finally seeing all of this in the news and so much of it will deal with economic situations. Trump has alot on his agenda but for a guy that doesnt sleep much i hope they can all keep up with him..;)
