Come on - you got to admit it's a circus no matter what! A person born in 1890 would've been 87 when receiving a SSN. Why would an 87 year old get a SSN?

You may want to check you your math -

let's see 1936 minus 1890 = 87 not unless it's some kind of "new math" that I'm not familiar with

To quote you on one of my posts

10 sides of Wrong... you've been misled.

BOOK HIM DANO!

No SSNs in 1890...

something is truly wrong with the entire circus!

What I understood what was said was that the person originally given his SSN was born in 1890 and that the SSN was originally issued in 1936.

MODS THERE ARE NAMES WITH ASSOCIATED SSNs LISTED A FEW POSTS UP. PLEASE DELETE THE INFO NECESSARY TO PROTECT ALL THE NAMED INDIVIDUALS!

Sorry, my "Report" button won't work.

What are you thinking? It was Obama that was issued the number in 1977, not the 87 year old man. The old man would have been issued the number at a younger age and when he died, Obama took up the number in 1977. That's what is in question. But we are all waiting for the answer.

I believe he was referring to 1977 minus 1890 equaling 87 Dano. ;)

That math may have been correct as to how old the older man would have been at the time Obama got the number, but, it is when the old man was issued the SS number that was wrongly assumed. (Mojack asked why an 87 yo would sign up for a SS number) The older man could have been issued the number at the age of 47 and Obama received the same number in 1977 after the older man passed away, after the man had the SS number for nearly 40 years, depending on at what age he passed. Thanks DANO!

Thanks for pointing this out, DM! As we old fogies like to recall...the years surrounding 1936 were hard ones, when the US saw such phenomena as the "Works Progress Administration", where unemployed people worked for government entities building sidewalks, parks, and other improvements. Many agricultural workers (such as my kinfolks) were taking social security numbers for the first time in their lives. To group such people by the decade of their birth would have been simple enough, back before computers...if all records came from a central office.

Wait....am I understanding this correctly? Big O was court ordered to appear for this hearing and yet, he did not show!!!! Okay, where I come from I believe that is considered Contempt of Court!!! So why wasn't a warrant obtained and his butt thrown in the clink like any other American citizen would be??? Just asking......

While I really don't like Obama's methodology, record, nor apparent socialist beliefs, I am highly offended by your VERY racist comment. I think that this kind of statement has no room here, and is in violation of the rules of Adam's site. I would appreciate it if you would edit your statement and make it more acceptable to the fine members that DV has.

BTW - I'm just a Georgia "cracker", but I believe strongly in an old song that I was taught in Sunday School many many years ago. Neg away if you want to, but you really crossed a line here.

Red and Yellow Black and White they are precious in HIS sight.....

Wow...I just read that post and there was no thoughts of anything "Racial" being intended......I guess it depends on who reads it and this is exactly why these "Racial" tensions have existed all these years....some people just make something out of nothing!!!!!

Monkeys are part of a circus right???? Or should he have said the little Tiger in the chair.....Wth???

let me take a wild stab at the black guy and monkey comment not being thought of as racial  , unless you've been living under a rock, it would be considerd racial, and im stateing that as a african american. There's many other animals in a circus jmo

Like I said, I didn't even think of it as a reference to his race and no, I have not been living under a rock, but thanks for asking. As I have said in a previous post on another topic....these tensions have been around for years because nobody can let them go. Sorry that you thought that was how he meant it....I didn't even think about it that way until others posted without even asking how he meant it. It could also be taken as to the fact that a monkey is lead around by others and that is basically what Obummer is....maybe he just should have said puppet and saved the back lash....Sorry if you were offended or if that was in fact the way he meant it, he was wrong to do so. I just hate the fact that this is still so prevalent in today's society. Take me for instance....not really sure what I would be considered as an Italian-American or Whop....doesn't bother me at all because I know who I am and where I came from, not to mention what is in my heart!!! Now the N word that some love to use, I don't look at that as reference to color but more of attitude from people of any color. Hope you have a better day!

GOOOO RV!!!!!!

Thanks for your perspective, jimmielee333. +1 for you. My business partner for 10+ years was a brilliant and wonderful (african american) man. I hate to categorize him as other than a man, but for my point I include the parenthetical expression. I know that he would take being referred to as a monkey as one of the worst words you could call him. I guess that rock is still there for some, jim! Too bad.
