Plane Shot Down/Ukraine Crisis : Umbertino is reporting live from Donetsk.  Rescue workers find another 21 bodies where MH17 jet was downed.  Pro Russian rebel leader denies rebels are tampering with evidence.  Team of international monitors scheduled to visit crash site today.  Dutch PM says his number one priority is repatriating bodies of 192 Dutch citizens killed.  Ukraine govt agrees remains will go to The Netherlands for identification.  Experts from affected nations will help with IDs.    Malaysian PM says independent investigators to gain access to MH17 crash site and asked rebels to hand over black boxes to the Malaysian team.   Britain, Germany, and France agreed on Sunday they should be ready to ratchet up sanctions on Russia.  Britain PM Cameron says Russia risks becoming “pariah state”.  He added weight of evidence is plane shot down by pro Russian rebels with SA-11 missile.  EU should consider new hard hitting sanctions.  Russian Pres. Putin lashing out against increasing pressure and criticism, accuses others of exploiting shootdown for “mercenary objectives”.  Russian financial assets continue to be under pressure in wake of sanctions.  Ukraine said to be launching assault to break pro Russian rebels’ hold on eastern city of Donetsk.  Ukraine PM said there won’t be any military operations at crash site.  Pres. Obama says access to crash site being blocked and evidence being removed.  We wonder what Russian backed separatists are trying to hide.  Pouting Putin has direct responsibility for insuring investigation can proceed.  Costs for Russia will increase if nothing is done.  Russian billionaires are worried they will pay if sanctions are tightened.  Yet who will cross Pouting Putin..? as some have been to Siberia and some bankers are terminated.

 

Israel – Gaza Showdown :  JoeyBlown heard death toll in Israel’s ground offensive took 550, 27 Israeli dead.  US Secy John Kerry goes to Cairo today to push for cease-fire.  UNSC held emergency session on Sunday night, proposing resolution weaker than one Jordan called for, asking Israel to pull out of Gaza.  Israel called their citizens to go to bomb shelter, whereas Hamas use civilians including women and children as their human shields.  US providing $47M in humanitarian aid in Gaza.  UN says 100K in Gaza seeking refuge, more than double those in 2009 conflict.

 

Other News :  A-J516 reported if UN says Iran has turned all enriched uranium close to weapons grade into a more harmless form; part of deal from last November.  Nuke talks extended to November 24th.   Rdoncampos heard three engines, 10 railcars derail in small Wisconsin village on Sunday.  Two people were injured, several thousand gallons of diesel fuel spilled.  Captl1 smells Cuban cigar when Chinese Pres Xi heads to Cuba for 2 days, as Havana hopes for new investment.  China is Cuba’s biggest creditor, trade worth $1.4B last year.  Chess can’t believe TSA fees increasing today to $5.60 for all flights.  Fees were $2.50 for nonstop. $5 for connecting flights; Congress approved hike in December to help cut federal deficit.

 

The bull slipped 48 points on the slippery slope.  Stocks are lower after posting gain last week.  Big week for earnings, International crises are in focus.  Jetpilotjim is happy as GM orders Cadillac dealers to stop selling CTS, no fix yet for switch issue.  GM stock held at $37.40 despite the news.  Visa, MasterCard lose court ruling vs retailers over credit card fees.  They will face antitrust lawsuits.  Visa and MasterCard stocks down a bit.  Boosterbglee reported traders, employees expressed concerns about Barclays “dark pool” venue months before charges from NY AG.  Bank allegedly favored high frequency traders.  Russia’s Severstal to sell Ohio mills Steel Dynamics to AK Steel for $2.3 billion. Fighting for damages continues as many legal experts say Reynolds likely to win appeal of $23.6B award.  Case involved suit brought by widow of man who died of lung cancer in 1996.  Activist investor Elliot Management takes more than $1B stake in EMC, stock went up 3.82% in trading today.  Fox to sell Italian, German pay TV assets to help fund higher Time Warner bid.  Nannab can’t believe when she hears Yum brands, McDonald;s halt purchases in China from US owned meat supplier, after Shanghai TV station reported the supplier sold expired beef and chicken.  Make sure you know where your chicken and beef come from.  I say before J you name it, China supplies it expired or no expired J  Genx4me heard Russia has moved $75 billion overseas in Q2 2014.  Wealthy Russians are buying real estate in New York, New Jersey and Florida.

 

From Dinar land : Vietnam1969 and his stealthwarrior army were busy on Sunday to put out fires from car bombings in Baghdad which resulted 23 deaths and scores of injured civilians.  Sandfly still patrols the air of Baghdad ready to fire okane at any time.  Meanwhile, Maliki gave a speech on Sunday condemning IS terror acts  against Christians in Mosul.  UNSG condemned IS’s prosecution against minority as crime against humanity.  RVwith me  was in the press conference when Pres. Talabani received the first deputy of PUK, in his first meeting after being away for two years in Germany on medical trip.  Kurdistan has to choose nominee for presidency soon after House of The Speaker was sworn in last week.  Kurdistan Alliance nominated Fuad Masoum for the position.  National  Union of Forces party nominated Osama al-Nujaifi for vice president.  Nujaifi is the only candidate for the position that is usually reserved for a Sunni.  Calkid11 is jumping up and down when he hears Monetary and financial expert Ali Fukaiki said Iraq should trade using dinar instead of USD or Euro.  Fukaiki gave examples such as the arrangement between China and Japan.  Japanese companies accept payment in Chinese Yuan and Chinese companies accept payments in Japanese Yen.  He added such move will establish confidence in Iraqi Dinar and also boost its value.  Financial expert Hadi Hindas agrees with Fukaiki pointed out that not long ago Iraqi Dinar was worth a British Pound.  Thriver just shakes his head when he hears Oil Ministry spokeman said any oil bought and sold out of SOMO are considered illegal and smuggled because the agreement has not been reached yet between GOI and KRG.  Wiljor was with Iraqi Foreign Minister during a meeting, said companies around the world can’ wait to invest in Iraq’s infrastructure and get involved in projects.  Iraqi’s embassies have received many more inquiries about Iraq which proves international community understand and see phenomenal potential in economic growth.   

 

From Rumor land: Millionday read Iraqi Financial Minister Fukaiki said in his statement that Iraq needs to trade in its currency like other countries.  Iraq will start internationaltrade with the dinar.  Poppy3 thinks RV will have to happen before HCL because HCL will be funded by RV.  The rate will be fixed for 24 – 36 months to allow stabilization of their economy with the new rate.  IMF website stated in 2010, they approved $3.22 plus up to 20%  inflation.  Chattels things GOI may go on for a while.  BGG thinks we are fairly close.  Mt. Goat says the next window is 7/30 to see our rv.  Aggiedad77 believes 2014 budget can be approved and there will be a serious endeavour and attempt by the parliament to do so even before the complete formation of the government.  Tlar says Maliki tries to stall the process of building the government.  Pepperoni thinks government needs to be formed, laws need to be passed, and they need to get control of terrorism.   

 

Wildfires raging in Washington state affects more than 370 sq miles.  Firefighters hope cooler temps, lighter winds will help battle the blazes.  NOAA reported global temperature reaches record high in June, after record May.  June ocean temperature is highest deviation from average for any month on record.

THANKS AGAIN, NADITA!

 

According to Rush, earlier today, there was a survey taken before the Israeli ground

invasion took place. Supposedly, most Palestinians did not want Hamas to be involved

in Gaza.  Hamas has so much force, they'll do whatever they want to.
