I guess I'm trying not to read between the lines here....but why isn't it ok for them to use the same wording? The issues that needed worked on from June havnt been worked on.., so the progress is exactly the same. Notes/minutes are repeated all the time guys.

Just being realistic. Sometimes we have to realize that not everything is done to trick us. "We" are not the ones this is all about, I think that is misconstrued way too often on these forums.

The problem is.... there are countless other articles that contradict so many things.

The UN is strictly supporting Kuwait, allowing them to get all the revenge it wants on Iraq. This part of the sanctions dealing with Kuwait is too open ended. The way it is written now Kuwait could have Iraq scouring the countryside for the next 100 years looking for things that Kuwait SAYS was taken. In all fairness there should be some reasonable point at which this expires. Kuwait has not come up with a list of things they say were taken. This is just pure and simply REVENGE on the part of Kuwait.

it sounds to me like you need to do the research whether or not this is fake is irrelevant i have read through the ssanctions and i diddn't find any sanctions that said they couldn't raise the value of their currency. Many gurus instilled this in the minds of many people Chapter 7 has no bearing on a countries rrevaluation of the currency. So who cares if we wait 6 months for chapter 7 to be lifted or NOT. Doesnt matter. Although how is Iraq gonna be able to defend themseleves are they really gonna wait six months lots can happen within that time period while the U.S has already gone i doubt it.

The following Security Council press statement was issued on 15 December by Council President Vitaly Churkin (Russian Federation):

The members of the Security Council received a briefing from Ambassador Gennady Tarasov, the Secretary-General’s High-Level Coordinator, on the thirty-second report of the Secretary-General, in accordance with paragraph 14 of Security Council resolution 1284 (1999).

The members of the Security Council appreciated the efforts of Ambassador Tarasov and the important work of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Tripartite Commission and its Technical Subcommittee during the reporting period.

The members of the Security Council welcomed the continued cooperation by the Governments of Iraq and Kuwait, and their high-level commitments to full implementation of all Iraqi obligations to Kuwait under the relevant resolutions. Nevertheless, the members of the Security Council stressed the need for Iraq to build on the steps already taken to fully meet these commitments, specifically finding Kuwaiti or third-country nationals, property and archives. The members of the Security Council once again expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of those involved.

The members of the Security Council welcomed the active participation by the Governments of Iraq and Kuwait in the efforts undertaken in the framework of the Technical Subcommittee, including the joint exploratory missions in Iraq. The members of the Security Council noted the potential for these missions to become an effective functional mechanism to fully probe the fate of missing persons and urged continued cooperation to translate efforts into tangible results.

The members of the Security Council welcomed the Government of Iraq’s approval for an inter-ministerial committee to lead and coordinate efforts with regard to the Kuwaiti national archives. The members of the Security Council noted the Secretary-General’s concern that no substantial progress had been made on clarifying the fate of the Kuwaiti national archives and noted that their previous calls for greater efforts with regard to the Kuwaiti national archives and other properties had so far yielded limited results. The members of the Security Council therefore repeated their call for an intensification of efforts to clarify the whereabouts of the archives through the inter-ministerial committee and report its results to the United Nations.

The members of the Security Council called for Iraq and Kuwait to continue to act in the spirit of the confidence- and cooperation-building process, which should contribute to the further strengthening of their good neighbourly relations and enhancing of regional stability.

The members of the Security Council supported the Secretary-General’s recommendation to extend the financing of the activities of the High-level Coordinator for a further period of six months in order to continue to build upon the existing momentum towards the full implementation of paragraph 14 of Security Council resolution 1284 (1999).

The members of the Security Council expressed their willingness to consider this matter in the context of their review of the report by the Secretary-General, pursuant to paragraph 5 of resolution 1859 (2008).

Until we see an article;( per Adam) saying Iraq chapter 7 has been lifted from UN; we wait...this being a very important issue; where's the articles of coverage from Iraq news? I know they would be screaming..

I am an older person , who by age alone is an educated and well-versed person. I have no problem leaving this site as I am appalled by the way I am unable to express my opinion without being ridiculed. Just because I say things that you don't want to hear does not mean what I say isn't true. The people encouraging me to leave are the ones that Adam is trying to eliminate on this site, as so many respected members have left due to not feeling free to speak their minds. The funniest part is that you have absolutely no proof that Chapter 7 is lifted, and I have proof (by the articles which are now fully copied on the un.org website) that chapter 7 has NOT been lifted. I am a VIP and have supported this site and I am truly disgruntled at the immature comments thrown at those of us who disagree with the majority. We al want the same thing and to the person who told me to do my research, I laugh. I have been in this almost 6 years and have my own set of currency profesionals that I will compare to Adams when the time comes to find the best information. I have been to Iraw on several occasions and have two immediate family members who are highly decorated military officers. I research all over the internet andf have made friends in the Middle East that I consult with regularly. That, my friend, is more research than most people have access to and I trust in my own "research" that this is not done.

And there was a comment about not needing to lift Ch 7 to RV??? I never said it had to be lifted so I'm not sure where that came from. Again I wish everyone luck, I do not have the time or patience for the people on this site that have nothing better to do than sit online and comment on everyones posts that they disagree with.
