divemaster5734
Nice. It's going to create a stir, and some dirtbag lawyer will take the class action case pro se, but if they can force obummer care down throats they can certainly enforce this.

RodandStaff
I think its brilliant and about time. I think there is a place for welfare, but the level of entry should definitely be higher. As for the drug addicted people who make a career out of having babies and living off the system, this is probably the best thing that could happen to them. If you want the tax payers money, get off drugs....AND if you are off drugs you might start aiming for something better in life for you AND your children. Its a win/win! I agree with you HappyVegas.. when my folks got divorced when I was young my Mom went back to college in her mid 40's with "7 kids" at home. She didn't get hardly any child support, and we were on welfare for only 3 years out of her 4-1/2 yrs. of college. Yes... she worked her butt off to keep things afloat... and I don't think we should ever look down on someone who is trying! Welfare has so many freeloaders today though, it's easier to get more money just shack up! Ohhh... I think I just found another proposal for "budget cuts". Test em... only if they stay on welfare.
GI_Jane
I got drug tested last Monday and again today.....and I'm in the Army. If I can get it 15 times a year, welfare recipients can get it at LEAST once. Hi piggy piggy!
watercop
Frankly, whether for work or welfare, I believe it takes our civil liberties away, "guilty until proven innocent", isn't it supposed to be the other way around? The slippery slide is getting more slippery everyday. Next it will be if you drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, eat McDonald's whatever. Just be careful what you wish for. What about the fact that when you do drugs you are breaking the law. If they test positive maybe we as taxpayers should pay for them a little jail time too

How about if we make people work for their welfare check, would it be ok then? I know I am missing your point that nobody should have random drug screenings, but just remember some countries you can be stopped and tested anytime. But, IMHO if you want a freebie from the state, you must be in compliance with all the rules. I been random drug tested so many times, I can pee on command
Danan
I so agree with the drug testing for people on federal or state welfare programs. I had 3 people this week call to bond out of jail and wanted to use their Lone Star cards to pay for it. I said Hell No. Of course tomorrow they will call and tell me if I get them out now they will pay me on the 3rd of the Month when they get their disability check. Wish I didn't have to work for a living and could drive a nice new car and live in the nicest apt complex. Oh well, maybe next lifetime.
AZ Native
Be carefull what you ask for!!! The Patriot act started out OK, but since has been twisted into somthing the US public does not like. But were stuck, because it's LAW! And they keep modifing it, to suite their own purpose! Heavyduty053
Here...let me p**** some people off...yep, did you get drug tested today? Thank you Florida, Kentucky, and Missouri, which are the first states that will require drug testing when applying for welfare. Some people are crying and calling this unconstitutional. How is this unconstitutional? It's OK to drug test people who work for their money but not those who don't?… Re-post this if you'd like to see this done in all 50 states! AMEN!! Term limits and drug testing i'm on this bandwagon giddee up
jaman
hi all just to let you know we have a lady up here that had 5 kids went on welfare the state bought her a 5 bedroom house with a big pull barn WTF.. they also trying to put sec 8 people in "get this "foreclosed houses..if you want my opinion, if they go on welfare and have one kid get paid for one kid...if you have another kid on welfare you get pain for one kid and so on .another thing these people who go from state to state collecting checks they should implement thumb print ID required, would cut in to double dipping JYHO.. TRERUMPH
OK I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS AND THEY WHERE RIGHT ON THE BUTTON.( Sorry for the shouting).... I would like to say that the drug test program wouldnt cost that much unless we are talking sending to institution to do the test, now my thing is when they go in to apply they have the bottles that u urinate in and let them do the urinalysis and you get the results right there if they want to fight it then they send to institute for further testing. Regardless they still need to do the testing.
cooked
Agree 1000000%. I see so many people who just have kids to get another welfare check. They take the money right out to the streets and load up on coke/crack or whatever. They disgust me. Here little pink piggy piggy
