Bashers/Pumpers: This will surely get some negative marks but I am not writing this for the fame rather just for some perspective. BASHERS/PUMPERS are exactly the same type of person! What say you WowLewi??? They are EGO driven boneheads. They both have no concern for the detriment they cause others. They are most likely sad, insecure folks with nothing better to do. My favorite part --- Bashers are more disgusting than pumpers. How can you go to a rumor and speculation page and gripe about what is posted? People whine and whine about Okie's posts, why do they read them if it upsets them so much? Everything about the Dinar is an educated guess, speculation, or rumor. As I have posted before we do not even know what is going on in our own country so rest assure folks do not know what is going on in another country. (LOL) My hope is to make a profit on this investment as well as other investments; however, I do not believe people will wake up multi-millionaires overnight. That is my speculation I have no intel just my opinion and educated guess.

Well, I messed up on the fast reply option so I will do a condensed post.

I acknowledge the RV in/out scenarios. Even with a control over the media the Iraqis would find out if there was an RV outside only. I could see the CBI doing an RV both in and out, but set it up so that it is essentially an RV outside only.

The CBI could put up money auctions to the other banks in Iraq and purchase their Dinar using USD. I am not an expert or guru but I believe these auctions are typically done to keep 1170 IQD/USD steady. But I could see the CBI horde all the 000 denoms by buying them from all other banks in the country and putting USD in their hands instead to distribute to the people (possibly the new lower denoms as well). When the time comes after enough auctions and when the CBI takes in what they feel to be enough of the 000 notes, they RV.

They make a killing on the spread from Iraqi citizens switching their USD to Dinar and make a killing from all the 000 notes they have horded from all their cash auctions. What currency is left outside of the country they will just have to bite the bullet. RV slow at first with a large spread so people who want to cash in ASAP at a rate of around $0.10-0.50 will save the CBI a lot of money compared to if they sit on it for another week or month (or however long) for it to climb to the $3.00-4.00 range.

Bank and the word "devious" should be synonymous, so I can see similar to what I described happen. I didn't include other factors like security from chp. 7 or tax stuff because the more variables in an equation the harder it is to solve.

Outside only RV: Wouldn’t there be massive rioting in Iraq if they found out that outsiders made millions from their Blood, Sweat and years of Tears? Wouldn’t they be finding every way possible to get their cash out of country so they could cash-in? I don’t think our Amazing Soldiers would be very happy as the pride of our nation fought for a stronger Iraq not to weaken one. (In addition I think it's reasonable to assume that a lot of Iraqi's have 50,000 IQD considering the current value (apx. $50 USD).

I found your closing statement humurous until your "Apologise to negroes." comment. I'm not a fan of Obama but I am a fan of a world where we are judged on the content of our character.

If / when it RVs I believe it will be tied with the 000s dropped from INTERNAL pricing in Iraq.

If it is approx 1:1 rate with USD then the locals will be able to buy exactly the same stuff and only small currency will be valid......thats why there is such a big run on locals getting rid of their big notes for USD these past days. This activity to sweep the streets of large notes is fully consistent with an impending RV 1:1 ish.

Addressing Riots: I think NOT.

When the RV occurs yes they may or may not hardly know what massive money is being made by the USA and currency speculators in the first instance, and that will quickly be replaced with realisation that there is now a real economy that they are living in. I also think that the Iraqi government will, with strategic timing, pump some sort of massive stimulus package to the people in many forms - as learned over these years from their close association with "democratic" powers that be with their nouveau socialistic ways of appeasing the masses.
