  1. Kinda confusing but this says prior to gulf war it was at $3.21...to the dinar http://www.exchangerate.com/currency-information/iraqi-dinar.html
  2. Agree 100%. Dalite and Drox are my favs. They set a perfect example of how people should interact on here. I may not agree with them or like what they say sometimes but none the less, they are extremely well educated and grounded.
  3. Agree. Im an optimist so I like to think that after so many years of oppression, the people of Iraq will finally get tossed a bone. CBI and GOI can go both ways, small RV to excite the masses and then an RD. Or they can do a straight up RD while RVing at the same time. The big question.....What happens outside of Iraq. Just have to be ready and wait and see.
  4. They will not..and I repeat...will not...telegraph an RV. Be patient and wait to see what happens.
  5. I really hope Maliki is voted out next election. They need someone that cares more about the country and people in it than about his own interests. Just like what we need here.
  6. Sorry if this was already asked but I havent made it through the entire thread yet. My question is what happened to those turks that had 10,000,000 Lira in the bank? Did they now only have 10 Lira?
  7. Two old guys, one 80 and one 87, were sitting on their usual park bench one morning. The 87 year old had just finished his morning jog and wasn't even short of breath. The 80 year old was amazed at his friend's stamina and asked him what he did to have so much energy. The 87 year old said, "Well, I eat rye bread every day. It keeps your energy level high and you'll have great stamina with the ladies." So, on the way home the 80 year old stops at the bakery. As he was looking around, the lady asked if he needed any help. He said "Do you have any Rye bread?" She said, "Yes, there's a whole shelf of it. Would you like some?" He said, "I want 5 loaves." She said, "My goodness, 5 loaves ... By the time you get to the 3rd loaf, it'll be hard" He replied, "I can't believe it, everybody knows about this sh*t but me."
  8. Need to help my Dad with medical bills so Im selling some of my Dinar. I have more so please no comments about what im doing. The only issue is I bought these in Iraq in 2004 from a currency exchange and have misplaced the receipt. Im a man of my word and guarantee these are 100 percent authentic. I live in San Diego and will take cash, cashiers check, money order or Paypal. Email me at bagmann1998@gmail.com if you're interested. 1.5 milion Iraqi Dinar in brand new uncirculated 25,000 notes for $1400.
  9. Thanks for all your hard work on this investment BL...and most importantly for staying grounded and telling us your thoughts.
  10. Thanks for the post Delta. Is there a link available to his interview?
  11. AMEN....and repeal the extension of welfare. Anyone that needs 3 years to get a job is obviously not looking very hard.
  12. Always great to see you here Drox. I can understand both sides (RD vsRV) but I truley believe that they will adjust the rate with a managed float to get Iraqis to use the dinar more and when it gets to a certain point, introduce the lower denominations at the same time removing the 000's. What point do you think they will introduce the lower denoms?
  13. Gotta love DT's enthusiasm. Not sure about Texas, but flags are still at half mast here.
  14. Thanks for doing the homework Granny. I really like Mr. Perry and he's my pick..second to Ron Paul. UNLESS....Chris Christie throws his hat in.
  15. True story. Like I said in another post a few days back...they were taking the hurt to some bad people. It was no surprise to me that the Pentagon said it was a rescue mission.
  16. Rick Perry has done alot for the job situation in Texas. I've read numerous articles where Perry would hear about a company talking about moving it's buisness overseas so Perry would call that company and recruit them to move toTexas. According to this article, California has lost some buisnesses to Texas and rightfully so. http://blogs.sacbee.com/capitolalertlatest/2011/05/dan-logue-hearts-rick-perry.html WAR DAMN EAGLE!!!!!!!!
  17. She wont win the primary. With that said, the candidate that wins the primary would need to think hard about having her as their running mate. The tea party is behind this woman 100% and in order to beat Obummer, the tea party and republicans have to unite. I dont have a warm and fuzzy about her but look at our current VP....a monkey could do better. +1 Tommy. I will vote for Ron Paul but my gut tells me that he wont make the cut....thanks to the media's love for Perry and Romney. If Gov Cris Christy gets in the mix then that will really throw this into a quandry. Christy has a huge following and is loved by the media. I really lilke his thoughts and his no BS approach to politics. Time will tell.
  18. Everyone needs to remember that who ever is elected President, he or she will have the same lame duck Congress that is only interested in thier own agendas. A new president is needed but moreover, a new Congress is needed even more.
  19. Gonna be Smokes first win of the year. Go 14
  20. Ron Paul is getting my vote. Really like his ideas and think he can really give us some change...for a change.
  21. Yes really. The were not destroyed because brave men and women were guarding them. As for poppy fields, they're keeping bad people from harvesting them to fund their terrorist activites. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand this but you can draw whatever conclusion you would like. It's called "prevention"
