It is good to see people in mid east finally got enough and going after their own govt/rulers for change. They have been held under laws, influences, bondages, most living in poverty others suffering with no way of improvement, all because their govts/rulers or don't want to change for the good of their countries or their people. They want their people to depend on the govt/rulers for the livelyhood because that way they hold power over them..........Think about for a minute, isn't the same thing happening here in the US. The presidents, congress, supreme court Rules against the rights of citizens everyday and if they do this over a period of years, there won't be to much fuss. The govt of the US better take notice of what is happening overseas because we are tired of over taxation, less freedom, high gas prices when we have enough oil here under our own soil to last us for 100 years. Wall street playing games with our lives thru their financial under dealings. Coming to a country near you.

AGREED!! Look at the recent changes that our President and Congress have tried to shove down our throats. Look at the deficit!!! OMG! We are on the eclipse of an economic collapse because of the HORRIBLE SPENDING of our congress and President. Just so you all know when you see that we are in debt 14 Trillion dollars thats not the total deficit of America, Our total deficit is around 55 Trillion Dollars!!!Go here and look at the numbers this will blow you away..... http://www.usdebtclock.org/ I fear that it may already be to late for us to recover, as congress stated 2 days ago to the world news "We will not default on any of our Debt" . You tell me what kind of messages that is to our creditors? From my view that message would put allot of fear in my holdings with the US Treasury and it's ability to pay me back. I just do not understand the reckless spending and borrowing that we have done!

Americans are too lazy to take action like that. Even the poorest Americans are better off than the majority of people in these countries, so I wouldn't hold my breath expecting to see it here.

I totally agree. Hell would freeze over before Americans went to the streets to protest anything, and I don't mean 100,000 here or there. There are millions in some cities and could easily disrupt the governments there and even scare the crap out of big government. Personally, if more people rose up and stopped standing idly by, things would be a ton different.

There are so many people on assistance whose families have been that way for generations that you would have trouble getting enough people to protest. They are what the gov wants, people who depend on them for everything in life. Some of them have raised large families at no cost to them. They don't want change and they don't care about taxes because they don't pay any. If things go bad in this country they are the ones that will kill you for a chese sandwitch. Better start learning to look out for yourself just in case. Just my opinion.

Roger that....well said. IMO the American people (except, of course, liberals, socialists, and the current regime) have said "enough!" with the assault on the American Constitution. There is hope that the lurch towards socialization can be stopped in its tracks and liberalism set back 100 years. We just cannot let-up on the pressure. A federal judge yesterday struck down Obamacare in totality and the regime is ignoring the ruling. The Republicans must hold their feet to the fire relentlessly and call them in violation of the ruling.....forcing compliance. We are still a nation of laws with a constitution.

I agree my friend, The US has been paying countries all around the world to be friends with us while we as a people suffer with welfare, drugs, high prices and there no end in sight because people over here in this country are brainwashed in the be a Democrat or Republican political arena, I'll do right vote for me issue. Washington knows for the most part we as a country don't take time to think about whats been done, who did it and what is coming at us inthe future. If we pulled all foreign aid except for the needy countries, this country would be weathy. But how do you get people to understand that enough is enough, time to fire Washington and i mean every single one that hold office. Time to quit voting in lawyers, CEO's and rich people. I believe a poor old dirt farmer has more common sense than what's up there.

I understand the protest and feel they are rightly doing so, however, they took it too far when it became unpeaceful!!!! I watched a man be beaten with several clubs, a man be ran over by a truck and much more violence for several days. To hear President Obama tell their government not to react with force, please...What would happen to any Americans in the street comitting crimes of violence in the name of a protest? Matters would have been much worse if it were here in the US. I am glad that these surpressed people are able to stand up for themselves and have their say but this would never play out like this in the US. Just wondering did any other people have power outage last week lasting only a min. ? We did and if you happened to be talking on a cell phone the call was droped at the exact same time. I heard from people towns away that they too lost power that morning. I wonder if this was a test to see how fast they could shut us down?

I am not sure about the whole assistance thing. I am sure in bigger cities you are very correct but I do not know that much about the welfare system. What I do know is that my son has been laid off from his job. He is 19yrs old and lives with his girlfriend. Both are students and since being laid off they had to lower themselves to applying for food stamps! (We help with their housing bills) Did they get them? NO They were told that they must work at least 20hrs a week to qualify. If they could work 20hrs a week they wouldn't need the assistance. There are no jobs here, students cannot draw unemployment, this country does not realize the mess that we are really in! sad.gif

I am sure there are alot of happenings that we are unaware of. I am a person that takes notice to my surroundings. People have called me crazy since 2001 when I started noticing the increased air traffic in our small towns. The contrails that these planes are leaving behind, grids in the sky... drastic changes in weather that correlates with the planes. It has been a big joke that I think our government is playing with weather manipulation. I am in the healthcare profession and notice a huge increase in respiratory illness with these contrails. Someday it will all be exposed! It is sad that our health does not mean anything in the name of experiments. I also believe that we are not the only countries doing this. I know I am crazybiggrin.gif ! lol

I respect your fathers opinion, but i have to say that's whats wrong, everyone has gotten to the point of saying "there is nothing i can do. Change begins with one, then two , then 10, then 100 well you see there is strength in numbers to change anything. Look at Egypt, do you think the rulers would have listened to just one person. But look what happens when there are strenght in numbers.............

If we even thought about rioting like the Egyptians have done we would have been met with much physical force. We would be caged and treated like animals. That cannot happen in the US because we are a "free" country. I also have heard the "ewww conspiracy theory". All I can say to those who do not pay attention to their surroundings is "Good Luck".

Agreed that we cannot just sit back and say whatever anymore but have no idea what we can do to stop it.

I agree with most of what the original post stated and I believe that one person with a lot of money (GORV) can start a trend to change out the 555 aholes runnig the USA.

HERE IS A GREAT READ ON THIS SUBJECT. I got this in an Email. start by passing this along to others. :)

Charley Reese, a journalist for the last 49 years, is retiring. His last column is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be - read it! The article is completely neutral, not anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read, worth the time and worth remembering!

555 PEOPLE --By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 555 human beings out of the 300

million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but PRIVATE, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 555 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits..... The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 555 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 555 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 555 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 555 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 555 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power..

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Totally agreed.. I do feel very close to my Tunisian and Egyptian Brothers and Sisters. They have demonstrated an INCREDIBLE COURAGE, DETERMINATION and WIIL to get it over with the crap and Arrogance of Powers that Be..

They' ve been incredibly brave. I was moved to tears in these last days watching the TV reports.. Most importantly, despite them being Arab Countries. It's been very clear these are LAY Revolutions for Social Justice, Democracy and Freedom. and NOT Religion-driven..

We have one of the lowest tax rates of any developed country. Complaining about the price we pay for gas? Have you ever been out of this country? Our country has plenty of problems but I don’t see people taking to the streets anytime soon. Our homeless people are fat. There’s not even a cohesive gripe as to what ails us. The left wing blames the rich for not sharing enough and points out the gap between the rich and poor getting bigger and bigger. The right wing loves to point out the spending of democrats and complain that the extra tax on the wealthiest will hurt jobs. Meanwhile they both spend more than they take in and keep recycling the same broken talking points. Even the tea party gets into blame game and says the liberals are ruining us while pointing out all the spending taking place. The fact is over 80% of the budget is spent on military defense, social security, medicare, and medicaid. Even the most aggressive tea party economists barely touch any of these when they lay out their plans for saving us. They cut several programs from the remaining 15% of the budget and make small cuts to defense which would help but hardly fix our monetary crisis. The world has changed and waxing on about the good old days of the USA will not help us moving forward. I would say most would agree that capitalism is essential to the American dream but a number of those same people would cry foul when a company moves all of its manufacturing to a developing country. There are growing pains as the world becomes integrated and undeveloped countries that have lagged behind catch up. Information, people, and goods can travel around the world faster and easier than ever before. We lost our manufacturing base because many developing countries can and will do it for a fraction of the cost. I don’t claim to have all the answers but I know most of the talking heads from the left and right aren’t even addressing the real problems. I would say to return more of the manufacturing jobs the world would have to have a more equitable monetary system. The gap in the value of currencies would have to be narrowed. This screwed up banking/monetary system is what makes this dinar investment exciting and seemingly plausible. What scares me most is that the only thing keeping the US out in front as world leader and safe haven for investors is our GDP is so much bigger than any other country. I’m scared that a big chunk of the GDP is smoke and mirrors. The stock market is a joke where rich people gamble, a countries economy is truly only as strong as the goods it makes. The market is not reliable. Another big big chunk of our GDP is pharmaceuticals and healthcare. The US takes roughly half of all the prescription drugs consumed by the world but we make up 6% of the world’s population. Pharmaceutical sales are the biggest business in this country comprising a good chunk of our GDP. In other words we make drugs and then we take drugs. I’m not saying all drugs aren’t needed but something is wrong with this picture and that can’t continue forever, at least I hope not. Sorry this rant lacks direction and focus but I do feel better.
