To answer the question, Yes I received the email as well. I didn't really read it until I saw this post. And yes, mine says the same thing. I think I get his emails (because it's not the first email that I have received from him) because I follow his blog site about the dinar. Anyways, thank you for posting this. And I guess let's remember one thing, Adam is no pumper. So we shall see.

There you have it. Yes it was an email to my address not a message from the site and Yes it came from Adam. Like I said, he is no pumper. I personally think he wouldn't have mentioned it if he didn't really think it to be true possibly, or atleast a really favored rumor. He wouldn't find it worth mentioning if it was just going to get us all hyped up for nothing. just a thought.

Ok well this seems to be the first totally bulls&%t rumor of the new year!!!! I thought we could at least give them a day or two to rest and get over their hangover before writing more stories but I guess these guys never sleep!!! hahahaha If it RV'd Ali for one wouldnt be making a banner across his website hahaha he has told everyone over and over and over again that customers would be getting emails and texts.....and well NO ONE is getting that.....so thats and indication of the RV didnt happen.....another is this rate that they are speaking of.....no way in hell is it coming out anywhere over 2 to start....these alone are enough to tell you this is all false.......well and the fact that they are proposing an exact rate in the first place because NO ONE will know that till its been released to the world and EVERYONE knows.....

Thanks everyone for your response, I am not a guru, I am not a dinar pusher for Mr Montana, and I am deifnitely not a specialist in the dinar world, just an investor, who is believing, this is a wise investment.

Im not contradicting myself......no one will know the EXACT rate......but if you know what makes a currencies value and you go through the numbers Iraq produces, add a little common sense and logic its not hard to get a good estimation of what it COULD be......in time its possible for them to reach those goals again but to just suddenly jump to rates that were artificial in the first place is just off the wall non sense......think about it.....

I also received the email from Adam....encouraging to say the least...I think his email was him being cautiously optimistic. We're all in this together. I refuse to bash anyone for their opinion and I really don't like "mean people".

Hi all and happy new Year!! I just wanted to let you know that I did receive an email from Adam with the first part of the message, but not the part with the "rumor" of an RV, and as a member I think it would be something he would have sent to all of us. I really believe this was added on to his original email and that this is a hoax. I can't understand why some one would post this hoax and I wish (especially if this is found to be just that, that this person will be kicked off of Dinarvets. JMO.

Thanks to the OP for relaying this information. I'm sure everyone appreciates it as much as I do.

As several have stated, since Mr. Montana seems to be taking this rumor with measure of seriousness, it seems that it would be in all our best interests to work together and see if we can investigate some of the claims.

1) RV/RI at $3.70 and they are already partying in Iraq.

There are at least a few individuals in this forum who are currently serving and/or living in Iraq, aren't there? Can anyone confirm reports of "partying"?

2) Our banking systems will not show the rate until 5:00 Eastern time today - end of business the last day of week and last week of month of the year.

Not sure how this could be confirmed, but I'm sure someone smarter or more well-connected than me could come up with something.

3) New budget has been approved, passed, and published in their Gazette as of today. Whatever they pass into law in their parliament has to be published in their Gazette to become law or official. That means they had to revalue as the new budget contains the new rate and has been made law.

I was under the impression that the budget would had not passed and would not be reviewed again until the 10th, an impression inspired by an article I found and posted in the question forum (http://translate.goo...view%26id%3D947). I had assumed the 10th was the chosen date because the government was on a 10-day break, which seems to coincide with other reports of the same I've read on the rumor forum. Is this inaccurate? Were they not on a break? Was the article wrong? Did they actually pass the budget? I know some of you have been trying to access the "Gazette" online, but, again, do we have anyone in Iraq who could simply pick up a copy and verify this?

4) Ali has been given a two-hour standby - he has a certain amount of time in which to change his rates to the new rate of a currency rate change. Also, he has said he will put up a banner on his website announcing the revalue.

Does anyone have any idea what this "two-hour standby" means? From the way it's worded, it sounds like Mr. Ali would be posting the new rates within 2 hours of the initial announcement, of the email, of the original post, etc. Obviously, all of those deadlines would have already expired by now, and the rates are unchanged, so is there another way to interpret this? Or is just incorrect?
