BanG I will remain skeptical on this one. Would be wonderful to see do not misunderstand me. I think the political climate and unrest within Iraq may play a big role in such an RV if it were to really come about. God only knows how we all want finality and closure to this chapter in our lives, we have all dreamed of this event and even made plans for it actually happening but I just do not know how this can be right now. Leaves more room for thought. JMO. Peace. On the other hand, the political climate and unrest may be pre-empted in Iraq, and I think its leadership is smart enough to realize it, when the population experiences the greater buying power they're getting with the higher valued dinars. Overnight, Iraq could become the role model for governments in the rest of the Middle East to realize what the people in the demonstrations in their countries want - more buying power.

Today, Thursday, February 24, 2011 or tomorrow morning, Friday, February 25, 2011, could be the most opportune time for Iraq to RV, playing on the instability of the other countries in the Middle East that are being hit by their demonstrators. Maliki holds the key to the setting of a standard for the rest of the Middle East to follow. He could pre-empt the Baghdad demonstration tomorrow with the announcement of the RV, along with the commitment that the country is now and forever a democratic society, making it a great celebration day for the Iraqis. Or, he can ignore the demonstration with no interest in listening to their grievances, thereby perpetuating unrest in the country and having no improvements forthcoming in their living condiitons. Or he can cement his position as the new military dictator of Iraq by ambushing and slaughtering those demonstrators. In that way, he will do away with the most predominant dissidents who, would, otherwise, continue to challenge him or build up enough backing to kick him out of office and try him for purported corruption. At the same time, he can continue to hide any corruption, particularly in the form of personally stealing billions of dollars from Iraq or making private deals with countries and super rich people who are most likely members of the global overlords' clandestine groups in the trading of the already RV'd dinars for U.S. dollars or Euros. If that becomes the case, then we can rest assured that no RV will ever be forthcoming to the Iraqis or us little people until Maliki is replaced with somebody in Iraq, who, at the risk of being assassinated, cares about the future welfare of the people. Certainly, Obama, our milquetoast State Department, and the Obama controlled U.S. military will never be allowed by the global overlords to intervene to straighten out the situation in Iraq. By staying out of the fight, they all have too good a gravy train to personally make billions of dollars off of Iraq and to be rewarded by the global overlords with future security in a tumultuous dog-eat-dog world that is forthcoming. I, as most of us, undoubtedly hope that the RV will happen today or tomorrow and all of these suppositions will be null and void. With all due respect and in my humble opinion.

I assume that the event that is having grandstands and big screen TV's installed is outside, right? Does anybody have one or more sources in Baghdad who can take pictures of those grandstands and video screens being set up and youtube them back to us? If so, maybe they can ask the contractors what the stands are for and what the deadline is for them to complete everything? That should give us some clues as to why the construction and when the event is scheduled. Maybe somebody there can also find out what the purpose of the event is, in order for us to confirm what we've been hearing is true - the announcement of the GOI being seated - finally, the lifting of Chapter 7, the declaration of Iraq's sovereignty being reinstated and the initiation of the RV.

All the agents for the IQD are probably thinking the same thing and are buying up as many of the IQD's for their own cash-in opportunities. Maybe it also means that the RI/RV is on the threshold of being announced. If everybody would stop buying more dinars, Iraq may determine that it's time to announce the RI/RV. Until then, all the IQD sales agents are probably stockpiling unsold IQD's for their own big scores. We investors may very well be at least one reason why the RI/RV is being held back from happening - as long as we keep buying those things.

Sometimes, it takes more than a “hat in hand” approach to ask another country to cooperate with yours – particularly when in such a short period of time, and although we illegally invaded Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom to eliminate Saddam, we should still be holding the high card in a game of “Who's The Victor?” Unfortunately, our country has become too sensitive to world opinion when we fight wars and the relationships we establish with the loser after we win those wars. I feel that the U.S. and the U.N. should have reminded the Iraqi government years ago as to who has the right to establish a government. In the allies’ successful effort to eliminate Saddam and his sons, we invested a lot of money in that war - and afterwards - to bring Iraq into the 21st century as a free, democratic country. We also made an even more significant investment when we lost close to 4,500 American military personnel killed with a total number of wounded at 32,000 in freeing Iraq from the horrific dictatorship of Hussein. If they don't want to cooperate with us, I feel that we should make it very clear to them that we can always come back and establish a government for them, with U.N. support - eliminating all of the menacing activities that have evolved there since Operation Iraqi Freedom began – including the procrastinations that have permeated the government – especially with its own formation and the RI/RV.

However, there's always the possibility that Iraq could change their mind after the speech and before the time that Mr. Obama said it would occur. It may be wiser for him to announce the dinar's having already RI/RV'd so that Iraq can't change their mind - risking, of course, losing the attention of those people in the audience who would go wild if we heard that the dinar had RI/RV'd. I think, if I were Mr. Obama, I would want to go with the "bird in the hand" approach and be able to say it happened today. Maybe announcing it at the very end of the speech will be better timing to avoid losing the audiences attention.

I feel that Biden's trip to Iraq was to get the lay of the land and to get a commitment from PM Maliki and the CBI to announce it at this opportune time for Obama. It's my understanding that, except for a few loose ends, Iraq is in a position to announce the RI/RV whenever they feel is opportune for them. Hopefully, they'll work with Obama to make him look good and for them to finally get moving with a more viable currency. We're not the only country that's going to benefit from their RI/RV. The RI/RV is supposedly such a big deal, that it should have a major positive impact on the world economy as well.

Another week? Oh, no!! Here we go again!?! How about today, 1/25/11, before Obama's State of the Union Speech or tomorrow morning, 1/26/11, after his speech - so he can infer that he was responsible getting Iraq off the dime to RV and how it's going to affect our economy? This would be the time for him to do it to bring up his ratings. He's in a campaign mode, already, and this can only help him.

I see where there are many of us who share in the desperate need for this RV to finally happen. My dream of becoming wealthy and to be able to share that wealth as a result of the RV is still strong. I do ask that the condescending people who have little or no sense of urgency for the RV to happen and who feel compelled to lecture us that this was a speculative venture, that we should have only invested money that we could afford to lose, and to simply continue with our lives if the RV doesn't happen on the days that were fed to us as rumors in chat rooms and conference calls - please keep those type of remarks to yourselves. They are the same as "bashing" us, when we are expressing our disenchantment and disappointment, while you look down your noses at us for not having the luxury of a consistent stream of funds that people like you must be able to enjoy in your non-challenging government, union jobs, from living off of trust funds or residing at home, rent free, with your parents or living off of your spouses’ income, to name only a small number of sources of income that you may be enjoying which give you no urgent need for the RV to happen. I'll bet that most of us who express our frustrations, anxieties and impatience are single (divorced or widowed), unemployed – many of whom have their unemployment run out, self-employed in services where their own customers have gone out of business, or those retirees living on their IRA’s and 401K’s that have evaporated during the last couple of years and are behind in paying their basic monthly expenses – including rents and mortgages. A lot of us invested in dinars more than a couple of years ago when we did have the extra cash to do so. Today, because of the recession and the distressed position most of what (used to be) our country is in, we are all hoping that the RV will happen so we can skip ahead and again be able to enjoy a debt-free life as people like you evidently are doing now, living in a relatively comfortable sphere. If you can't share our concerns when these projected RV dates come and go, then, please stop being critical of us who feel more frantic each time the RV doesn’t happen, but, instead, join in to support us rather than knock us when we’re down. When Jesus was on earth, he traveled a very rugged trail, but with no bills to pay or family (that we know of) to support. Wow. It’s very frustrating, let alone unintelligible. Especially, when all we want to know is any intel, based on feedback from your "reliable sources," of when the RV is happening and at what rate. All the other gibberish and colloquialisms should be reserved for your private conversations between each other. Is this type of post that you share with us “common folk” some sort of smoke screen or "smoke and mirrors" when anything you've been “projecting” regarding the date and rate of the RV hasn't panned out? If anybody suggests that I’m bashing you, they’re definitely out in left field and on the threshold of ignorance and idiocy. I personally see nothing that should be holding back the RV from happening any moment, now. Everything should have been accomplished in Iraq to clear the way for the RV to happen. I feel it will be announced shortly. By now, the Iraqi privileged elite and the global overlords should have increased their personal fortunes from cashing in their dinars ahead of the international RV that we “peons” are waiting for. It's now to Iraq's people’s advantage to activate the RV, now, for the rest of us to cash in and they can get on with the re-building of their country (a process that will allow the elitists in and out of Iraq to accumulate even greater personal wealth) and to regain acceptance in the Middle East "club." One thing I feel may have held up the RV was Iraq’s participation in a rumored, combined RV with other countries - a process that may have taken more time than expected to put together. Let’s hope Obama isn’t holding up the RV. He and his confederates, along with Bush, Clinton, their cohorts and global overlord handlers, have probably gotten all they could have possibly wanted from the privilege afforded them in 2010 by Iraq to privately exchange their dinars for U.S. dollars. In other words - enough is enough - for now, anyway! Obama now has his job cut out to get a Republican controlled House of Representatives to pass tax laws to get whatever else from the rest of us American RV investors for 2011. He can work on that issue any time after the RV has occurred, and, if successful, make it retroactive to the beginning of 2011 – an attempt that should be futile.

I understand from reading information and rumors from various Iraqi newspapers and chat rooms that Iraq's discovery of more oil in their fields than there is in most any other country in the world should allow them to RV the dinar at a very high rate – especially with the price of oil currently at $93.00+ a barrel. However, I recall reading that the IMF has told them that they wouldn't support Iraq’s going too high; i.e., $6.00+, but that $.50 above Kuwait's dinar value of $3.56, or $4.06 could be a reasonable compromise. To Iraq, any lower exchange rate that IMF would be happy with could be considered a sanction, while Iraq, now, has the greater say as to what rate they will go with. With the lifting of Chapter 7, they’re now a sovereign nation with several privileges reinstated. Deciding on the exchange rate of their currency is one of those privileges and is now mostly their own decision with the IMF included. IMF and the U.S. Treasury are the organizations supplying the USD for the actual exchanging between Iraq and those countries that want the Yankee dolla! My opinion and feeling is that the RV rate has already been established. I feel, too, that its announcement was delayed until 2011 by the Obama administration so that it will have all year to develop a retroactive tax package to get as much revenue as possible from our cashing in dinars in 2011. Unfortunately, that would be part of the costs of doing business. Hopefully, with a predominantly Republican House of Representatives, they'll reject any punitive tax proposals from Obama . I feel and hope that the RV will be announced some time this morning (Sunday, January 2, 2011 and tomorrow afternoon (Monday, January 3, 2011 by 5:00 p.m. EST (New York City time). That’s my gut feel.

From what posts I've read during the last year and a half, Okie seems to include a degree of logic to his recounting of intel and rumors. He always seems to present a qualified, positive opinion and prediction. That's what sets him above most of the other sites. The people who are pompous toward those who are depressed, disappointed and critical when the RV doesn’t happen, are usually those who have secure income from their government jobs, retirement funds, union jobs and/or unearned trust funds. Many of the members who are venting their frustrations in this and other sites are usually living on a shoestring, are unemployed, bankrupt and broke! Hopes are always high toward the middle and the end of each month because the chat room gurus are always giving relatively specific and optimistic RV dates and rates. Of course, those dates and rates don't materialize, causing more grief, despondence and anger. My request, with all due respect, is that those of you who are quick and so verbose to remind the anxious and destitute members that this is a speculative deal, to invest only that money which you can afford to lose and to be patient, to stop being so condescending toward those people. It’s obvious that they need the RV to happen, now, in order to survive, let alone prosper. But then, as you surf the internet on your laptops while you sit on your Tempur-Pedic beds in the midst of a dozen or more comfortable pillows during your spare time, eating M&M’s or drinking your beer, undoubtedly cannot empathize with those people.

This list has been out for a several years, now. I don't see any updates to it. Whoever made up the list probably personally invested in the Iraq's dinar in 2004 and felt scammed when it didn't RV as quickly as Kuwait's dinar did in 1991.
