The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Al-Alaq, announced the development of a “delivery mechanism” for the dollar at Iraqi airports to ensure that the dollar reaches “real travelers.”

Al-Alaq said in an interview with Al-Iqtisad News, “The system and the presence of the relevant exchange companies have been completed in some airports, explaining that the new mechanism “will be launched very soon.”

Regarding the nature of the mechanism, he explained that “registration will be through a platform and receipt at the airport by the traveler “in order to ensure that the dollar reaches the real traveler.”
