Shafaq News/ The Sadrist movement, led by Muqtada al-Sadr, sent today, Monday, a new message to the political blocs objecting to the results of the early parliamentary elections.

The leader in the movement, Issam Hussein, told Shafaq News Agency, "The political blocs that object to the results of the early parliamentary elections must yield to the outcomes of the electoral process, in light of their failure to provide support for their claim about the lack of integrity of the elections. Until now, they have not provided a single evidence about electoral fraud."

Hussein added that "the political blocs objecting to the results of the early parliamentary elections are required to present their project quickly and to resolve their position on the political process, either by running the government or choosing the path of the political opposition, as they have not yet clear and firm position."

Deny, Deny, Deny - When multiple news agencies confirm the same thing (even though Maliki influences most) there's probably some truth to the report. Personally, I believe the reports are true. JMHO..! :salute:

Revealing the direct cause"... The Sadrist movement: The next government will be formed "easily"
2021/11/30
Baghdad today - Baghdad
The Sadrist movement, led by Muqtada al-Sadr, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the next Iraqi government will easily form, among the direct reason for this.
The leader in the movement, Issam Hussein, said in a statement to (Baghdad Today), "The new Iraqi government will be formed easily because of the (fail) of other parties and the rise of other, and this matter will also be a major reason for the Iraqi state to run during the next stage with ease, because of the presence of political majority.
He added that "the political variables refer to the (declining) of political parties and the rise of others, especially the independents, in addition to that the new variable goes towards the majority and not the consensus that has been tried for more than 17 years."
And he stated that "the consociationalism had tragic results and resulted in the absence of an official responsible for the reality in light of the spread of corruption and the failure of the management of state institutions."

 Baghdad: Omar Abdul Latif

Political experts see the possibility of going to the "blocking third" option as a solution to get out of the impasse in forming the next government. This came after the statements of the leader of the winning forces in the elections, Muqtada al-Sadr, who stressed that he would not participate in a coalition or consensual government, indicating that "going to the opposition is better for us."
Al-Sadr said: The only solution to save Iraq is to form the government and the loser will be in the opposition, or vice versa.
Based on these data, there are expectations that there will be a strong opposition in the House of Representatives that will exercise its oversight role over the performance of the executive authority, or go to the “blocking third” option, which means that a political bloc obtains a third of the number of ministerial portfolios in the government, which allows it to control its decisions and suspending its meetings.
Professor of political science, Iyad al-Anbar, told Al-Sabah: The experience of the blocking third may be the key for those who can mobilize in the parliament by obstructing many projects that could embarrass the government in the event of an opposition current, adding that the weights needed by the majority do not assume the existence of such This experiment.
Al-Amber explained that the blocking third in Lebanon is linked to a sectarian address, while in Iraq it can turn into a political address through the opposition, which in itself is an opportunity to activate the true role of Parliament after it was robbed of the will and all the blocs in power, which are the same in
opposition.
Political analyst Dr. Ali al-Jubouri disagreed with this approach, and said: The ground is not prepared for there to be a disabled third as it exists in Lebanon, noting that the situation may be heading towards consensus.
Meanwhile, Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Mufid Al-Zaidi, warned that Iraq is a different case due to previous experiences, internal challenges, regional alliances and its economic situation from Lebanon, pointing out that the pessimism that mars the political process is found by others as a key to a breakthrough.
New.
Al-Zaidi added to "Al-Sabah" that many hope that they will witness a near-consensus between the parties participating in the political process to reach a solution that satisfies all parties and gives a new experience different from previous experiences.
