The Bicraqi Iraqi are capable at this point to deal with ISIS as long as they choose to. Iraqi Parliament Approves New Government of Mustafa al-Kadhimi

Mustafa al-Kadhimi and his new government have been approved by Iraq’s parliament; al-Kadhimi was appointed prime minister-designate last month after Adnan al-Zurfi failed to secure enough support; He is said to be willing to help meet the demands of protestors throughout the country.

Coming on the heels of a political deadlock that has lasted months throughout the divided nation, a new government has officially been approved by the Iraqi parliament under the leadership of Mustafa al-Kadhimi. It was after US-backed Adnan al-Zurfi failed to obtain enough support in parliament that al-Kadhimi was given the label of Prime Minister-designate back in April.

Prior to his position as Prime Minister-designate, al-Kadhimi served as the director of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service. It was April 9 that he was given the mandate from Iraqi President Barham Salih to form a new government after the two individuals before him failed.

While the majority of his proposed cabinet was approved, several individuals were rejected. Al-Kadhimi will be providing new nominees in the coming days.

Seeking to bring confidence to the people of Iraq, he vowed to work with the demands of the protestors, who’ve been taking to the streets to display their opposition to the government since October 2019. He stated that his administration would be “a solution government, not crisis government.”

For the most part, the outlook from both Iraqis and other countries is positive. In a rare similarity, his administration is receiving forms of approval from Iran and the United States.

Biden vows to restore financial aid to the Palestinians if he’s elected president in November; He would also voice support for the future of a two-state solution; Additionally, he would seek to reopen the Palestinian Liberation Organization office in Washington.

While elaborating on his plan to restore a political platform to the Palestinians, Democratic Presidential hopeful Joe Biden vowed to restore financial aid to the Palestinian cause and urged Israel not to make any decisions that would eradicate the possibility of a two-state solution, given Israel’s plans to annex the West Bank in the coming months.

Biden stated, “A priority now for the cause of Israeli-Palestinian peace should be resuming our dialogue with the Palestinians and pressing Israel not to take actions that make a two-state solution impossible.” He has voiced in the past his belief that Israel’s only opportunity for lasting peace is found in a two-state solution.

On Tuesday, Biden would further reveal his agenda to restore financial aid to the Palestinians and even voiced his support for the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), adding, “I will reopen the US consulate in East Jerusalem, find a way to re-open the PLO’s diplomatic mission in Washington, and resume the decades-long economic and security assistance efforts to the Palestinians that the Trump Administration stopped.”

The Trump administration closed the PLO office in 2018 after the Palestinians continued to withhold any attempt of negotiating with the Jewish State.

In 2019, Biden said, “My administration will urge both sides to take steps to keep the prospect of a two-state outcome alive. Palestinian leaders should end the incitement and glorification of violence, and they must begin to level with their people about the legitimacy and permanence of Israel as a Jewish state in the historic homeland of the Jewish people,” which is interesting because he reveals the unavoidable truth that Israel has rights to the land where they reside.

So, the question remains; If Biden believes the Palestinians have a habit of inciting violence to communicate their intentions, why would he want to equip them with financial provisions? This is especially important to consider in light of the corruption of Hamas and its connections to the Iranian regime of terror.

Citing confidence in the technological capabilities of the Jewish State, Arizona (USA) has opened its first trade office in Tel Aviv with hopes of an annual trade exchange of $1 billion. This is Arizona’s only international trade office outside of Mexico.

Arizona is partnering with Israel in an effort to increase trade revenue in 2020. The agenda will be led by well-known entrepreneur David Yaari, who is seeking to increase trade connections between Israel and Arizona that will amount to $1 billion in the next year. This agenda will highlight economic growth through different investments, trade, and technological partnership. Doubling the trade revenue from 2010, the two states reached $460 million for the year in 2018. $1 billion is no small feat given the current global pandemic that has crippled several economies.

Near the end of 2019, when the opening of the office was originally announced, Ducey stated, “The opening of Arizona’s trade office in Tel Aviv, Israel, promises to further advance the strong relationship between our states. Pompeo to Visit Israel Next Week for the First Time Since the Onset of COVID-19

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is set to visit Israel next week when the new government is to be sworn in; This will be his first visit since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic; Iran is also reported to be a topic of discussion.

For the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will head to Israel next week to be present as their new government is sworn in. The new Israeli government will be headed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the first 18 months, with Blue & White Party leader Benny Gantz taking over when Netanyahu’s time concludes.

While meeting with the Israeli leaders in the context of their new government, one official hinted that Iran will also be an item of discussion. The official would add, “The United States and Israel will face threats to the security and prosperity of our peoples together. In challenging times, we stand by our friends, and our friends stand by us.”

You would think that the current pandemic would be at least a temporary deterrent for the Iranian regime of terror, but sadly, it’s been anything but that. In fact, they’ve increased their activity in Syria, which has led to seven Israeli strikes in the last five weeks.

David Schenker, Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs, added to the summary of Pompeo’s pending visit, stating, “The Secretary is making this trip because he recognizes the United States and Israel have much to learn from each other as we address current threats, whether those threats stem from a global pandemic or from Iran’s malign regional influence.”

Also rumored to be part of the discussion is the coming annexation of the West Bank, something that could happen in the next couple of months.

Iran Linked to Failed Cyber-Attack on Israel’s Water Systems in April

Reports indicate Iranian involvement in a failed cyber-attack on Israeli water systems last month; The attack was detected before any effects could take place; The attack is reported to have been channeled through western servers in an attempt to guard their identity.

After a series of failed cyber-attacks at the end of April that targeted Israel, sources believe the attacks to be of Iranian origin. They are believed to have been targeting Israeli water systems but failed to achieve their goal as Israel acted decisively to deter the threat. With the attack being neutralized early on, no damage is reported to have been done.

Intel suggests that at least two water sources inside of Israel were of interest in the attack, which was carried out through the use of western servers, allowing the Iranians to hide their identity. The goal of the hack was to manipulate computer systems that control these respective water systems.

The allegations of this attack have been denied by the Iranian government, who has been blamed in the past for other attempted cyber-attacks.

The tension between the two countries is continuing to rise as Iran hasn’t slowed down their agenda despite the devastation they’re facing from COVID-19. In response, Israel has not only increased its strikes in Syria on Iranian targets but has taken the offensive in the Iranian conflict.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will be meeting with Israeli leaders in Israel next week when the new government is sworn in. It is expected that Iran will be a major point of discussion during his visit.

Friendly-Fire Leaves Multiple Iranians Dead in the Gulf of Oman During Training Exercise

Several Iranian casualties are reported after a naval friendly-fire incident occurred in the Gulf of Oman during a training exercise; It is believed that at least 19 individuals are dead with 15 injured.

Reports began surfacing on Sunday evening after a friendly-fire incident occurred in the Gulf of Oman that left 19 Iranian sailors dead and 15 injured. More specifically, the incident occurred at the Port of Jask, which is located nearly 800 miles south of Tehran. Iranian state media originally reported at least one casualty, a number that changed soon after.

The incident took place during an Iranian naval training exercise when one of Iran’s support ships, the Konarak, was struck by a C-802 120KM range missile that was fired from a Jamaran ship. Media sources report that the Konarak was responsible for setting up targets for the exercise when the event occurred. Reports suggest that the ship had just finished setting up a target prior to being struck by the missile.

This is the second fatal Iranian missile-related incident to happen since the beginning of the year, after Iran mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian airliner carrying 176 civilians. All of them were killed.

Iran Joins Lebanon, Turkey, and Syria in Economic Danger as Rial Takes Massive Dip in Two Days

The Iranian Rial dropped nearly 10% between Sunday and Tuesday, dealing another huge blow to the Iranian economy; US sanctions are seen as the primary source of Iran’s downward economic trend, though COVID-19 is also a factor.

Iran’s economic downward trend took another hit at the beginning of the week when the rial dropped to a value of 166,000 rials to the dollar on Monday. This is an increase of 10,000 rials to the dollar from Sunday, just 24 hours earlier, which is considered to be very alarming. To put this in perspective, the rial was valued at 32,000 per US dollar in 2015, prior to the Iran Nuclear Deal, sanctions, and COVID-19.

One of the primary reasons for the Islamic republic’ s economic turmoil is found in the devastating sanctions they’re receiving from the United States. The US has implemented and restored sanctions over the last few years after withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), or Iran Nuclear Deal; a deal that did nothing but further enable the world’s number one sponsor of terror.

These sanctions have limited Iran’s crude oil exports in an unprecedented manner, dropping their barrel per day (bpd) export to less than 500,000. Prior to the sanctions, this number was 2,000,000.

In addition to the sanctions, COVID-19 has also played a role in the value of the rial.

The drop in the value of the Iranian currency is following in the footsteps of several other countries in the region such as Lebanon, Turkey, and Syria. Well over 50% of Lebanon is in poverty with 75% needing some sort of aid. The Turkish lira is continuing down a destructive path and the Syrian pound is going with it.

As these countries are caught up in civil war and unrest, government protests, and COVID-19, the immediate outlook remains very concerning economically.

Syrian regime President, Bashar Al-Assad, said in an interview with a Russian news agency that he is not against the idea of establishing “normal relations” with the occupation, but only if certain conditions are met.

Al-Assad said that in order to hold Syrian-Israeli negotiations, it is imperative to “restore all Syrian land” occupied by Israel.

He continued in his interview with Sputnik: “Our position has been very clear since the beginning of the peace talks in the 1990s, almost three decades ago, when we said that peace for Syria is correlated with regaining our rights.”

Al-Assad added: “We cannot hold normal relations with Israel until we restore our lands. The matter is very simple.”

He explained that “holding talks will be possible only when Israel is ready to return the occupied Syrian lands, but they never been ready, not now, not ever.”

Last year, US President Donald Trump recognised Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights that the occupation state seized from Syria in 1967. However, Israel’s annexation of the Golan has not been endorsed internationally.

It seems that the start of the demarcation negotiations carries a goal for the US administration, which is the demarcation of international - regional influence in Lebanon, as part of the demarcation of the borders of conflicts in the Middle East.

In addition, America seeks, through resolving the border dispute between Lebanon and Israel, to undermine Russian and Turkish ambitions in the region, because it undoubtedly strengthens the emerging American geopolitical alliance between a number of eastern Mediterranean countries. Including Israel, Cyprus, Greece and Egypt.
All of this is taking place within an American effort to demarcate the borders of conflicts in the Middle East, starting with the demarcation of the borders between Turkey and the Kurds in Syria, and between the Kurds themselves and the Syrian regime, to the demarcation of the borders between the Libyan conflict parties and the countries involved in the conflict there, specifically Egypt and Turkey. The delineation of conflict borders is not far from what is happening in Iraq. The Iraqi Shiite armed parties and groups loyal to Tehran seem confused about the decision of the central government headed by Al-Kazemi to be the decision-maker in peace and war, as well as forging alliances with states, and its choice for Iraq to have strategic relations with Washington and for the Americans to provide the necessary umbrella in order to avoid the tragedy of moving from a described tyranny.
