bostonangler
Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume seemed unfazed by President Donald Trump’s latest Twitter tantrum criticizing the network. Following a straightforward interview Wednesday morning with Democratic National Committee communications director Xochitl Hinojosa, the president tweeted his outrage that Fox News host Sandra Smith offered “zero pushback” during a conversation that “heavily promot[ed] the Democrats.” “HOPELESS & CLUELESS!” Trump said, before adding, “We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!” Hume, who has been with the network since 1996, was quick to respond to the president’s meltdown. “Fox News isn’t supposed to work for you,” he wrote. Brit Hume ✔ @brithume Fox News isn’t supposed to work for you. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1166712943196680193 … Hume has criticized the president in the past, particularly regarding Trump’s dissatisfaction with the network’s coverage of the Democrats running to challenge him in 2020. When Trump lashed out at Fox News for hosting South Bend, Indiana, mayor and Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg in May, Hume responded. “Say this for Buttigieg,” Hume wrote on Twitter. “He’s willing to be questioned by Chris Wallace, something you’ve barely done since you’ve been president. Oh, and covering candidates of both parties is part of the job of a news channel.” It’s no secret that Fox News has functioned as a propaganda-like arm for Trump since his 2016 presidential campaign. He often airs his praises of and grievances with the network over Twitter — the latter of which seems to have increased in recent months. https://www.yahoo.com/news/fox-news-brit-hume-trump-twitter-191357185.html He's losing it and everyone is starting to admit what they already know. bostonangler
President Donald Trump let loose on Fox News on Wednesday, saying the network "isn’t working for us anymore" while encouraging his followers to look for an alternative to his long-cherished cable news channel. In a three-part Twitter attack, Trump escalated his feud that started earlier this year when the network started featuring more Democratic commentators and hosted a series of town halls with Democratic presidential candidates. On Wednesday Trump tee'd off on Fox News over an appearance by Democratic National Committee spokesperson Xochitl Hinojosa. "Just watched @FoxNews heavily promoting the Democrats through their DNC Communications Director, spewing out whatever she wanted with zero pushback by anchor, @SandraSmithFox. Terrible considering that Fox couldn’t even land a debate, the Dems give them NOTHING! @CNN & @MSNBC are all in for the Open Border Socialists (or beyond)," Trump wrote. In a wide-ranging interview on the 2020 election with Fox News anchor Sandra Smith, Hinojosa took multiple swipes at the president, his field operation in 2016, and policies like border separations — but what seemed to provoke Trump was a reference to polling that shows him losing to Democratic front-runners in several battleground states. "Fox hires “give Hillarious the questions” @donnabrazile, Juan Williams and low ratings Shep Smith. HOPELESS & CLUELESS! They should go all the way LEFT and I will still find a way to Win - That’s what I do, Win. Too Bad!" Trump continued, "I don’t want to Win for myself, I only want to Win for the people. The New @FoxNews is letting millions of GREAT people down! We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!" Both Smith and Williams have landed in hot water with Trump in the past for critical coverage of the escalating trade war with China, references to unflattering polling numbers and other perceived transgressions. Trump tweeted in early August that the network is "different from what they used to be." Some Fox hosts have closed ranks behind their employer in the face of Trump's criticism. "Fox News isn’t supposed to work for you," tweeted Brit Hume, a longtime political analyst with the network who has called out Trump in the past. Hinojosa hit back at the president later Wednesday morning in a tweet of her own. "Thanks for watching. It’s pronounced So-Chi, you know, like the city in Russia," she wrote. https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-delivers-another-blow-fox-154831895.html B/A 1 1
bostonangler
Donald Trump has lashed out at Fox News in a rant on Twitter, attacking the conservative news network for hiring a Democrat as a commentator, and urging his followers to find a "new News Outlet" https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-lashes-fox-news-extraordinary-091800965.html The meltdown is in full swing! Shepp has always been fair and balanced. I think where it goes astray is in the entertainment division... I don't think people understand the difference between news and infotainment. All the cable news outlets have this problem. They are mostly talk-radio with pictures. News is news. Facts are facts. Opinions are just that opinions. The problem is they all present opinion as news. B/A

GO RV, then BV Hello Shabbs...Same of course happened here in Italy...It's incredible to notice how many similarities between Pres. Trump and fmr PM Berlusconi...on a lot of things ( political and non-political)...Anyway, Berlusconi had ( still does) a few TV channels each of them having their news program....All were pro-Berlusconi of course in their reports etc.....But going on in the years one could start to notice some li'l (at first) differences among the various news programson his channels depending on which channel ( among all the ones owned by B. mind you) Moral of story...One of the channels ( at the times the most important among all he used to have...called Canale 5 -Channel 5) whose news director was a quite brilliant and young journalist who had started his career on the state-owned TV (RAI) before moving on and work on Channel five ( sure...I do understand ..the money) ..Well...At one point this brilliant Journalist and chief of Channel five news ( Enrico Mentana, probably one of the best political commentators in this Country) started to be more critical in his reports ( or you might wanna say "more independent" the way it should be in Journalism...I know I know...That's day-dreaming.....That's a perfect world which does not exist yet) not sparing critiques and judgments even to Berlusconi himself.... Moral: he got fired all of a sudden and stayed home a few years without worjking ( Berlusconi was very powerful back then so every TV station would not take Mentana despite him being a very good journalist) until an independent TV station called "La 7" ( Channel Seven) not only hired him a few years ago but made him immediately chief of its news Dept ( and he still is...People love him cos he shows every day he's the independent kind of person) I forgot to add that while Berlusconi was PM ( which means having power also over the State TV called RAI ( besides owning his own channels even if he said that formally he had tranferred everything to his grown-up children as the law prescribes in order to avoid a conflict of interest ....which I do not believe he did anyway) , for which RAI , mind you, we all here in Italy have to pay a yearly tax , like it or not, even if you say you don't watch RAI programs or you had them blocked or whatever ...you still have to pay this yearly tax...Add to that that RAI , just like all the other non-State channels, has a lot of comercials going on....weird, ain't it.. Well..Mr. Berlusconi, while PM and so somehow exerting some power also on state TV...had not one, not 2 , but 3 journalists fired ( one of them, a great professional, wa salready more than 80 yr. old when he got fired)...Berlusconi invented lots of excuses for justifying t getiing rid of thembut the fact was that all 3 were gainst him and talking clearly and honoestly about his "deeds" even though they had always did that somehow well-manneredly ( no offenses etc..but of course calling a spade a soade)...They got fired oFC OURSE THIS CAUSED A LOT OF RALLIES AND DEMONSTRATIONS AND tv PROGRAMS AGAINST HIM FOR HIS TOTALLY ANTI-DEMOCRATIC and somehow dictator-like stance i THINK ONE OF 2 OR THOSE GOT RE-HIRED while the old one sadly died Edited August 29, 2019 by umbertino 1

It gets a little crazy at the trading desk and believe it or not this site gives my mind a respite Today was a very good day. Shorted IIPR, for 8 bucks. I won’t tell how many shares I had riding but it was considerable. It took me years of hard work to earn what the lines meant, how to find the right stocks, when to get in and when to exit. Agonizing years of leaning. This is how I do it. And sometimes it’s like this 1
