Maliki's Home Page is not announcing this as official, so grain of salt as always.... I think half if not more of what we are reading in the "news" is pretty much opinion pieces quoting whoever is speaking .....much like our politicians state many things as if it were a direct fact when it's really their opinion  of fact.... While it is as much news as any of the conflicting news we're been reading of late... It likewise seems to be as much a leaked opinion piece as again, most of what we've been reading.

Accordingly the results reported are:

Maliki: Prime Minister (w/exception of Sadrists, though liberal bloc of such will respect this)

Hussein al-Shahristani: First Deputy President of Republic

Sheikh Hamoudi: Deputy Speaker of Parliment

Bayan Jabr: Deputy Prime Minister

Bahr al-Ulum Minister of Oil

Dr. Necmettin: President

Salem al-Jubouri: Speaker of Parliment (thought first name was spelled different, but this is the name noted in this report)

National Alliance candidate, "al-Maliki" the next prime minister, Necmettin and President of the Republic
July 3, 2014

A source familiar with the negotiations to form a government that the National Alliance reached a final agreement provides for the taking, "Nuri Kamal al-Maliki" the next prime minister And Agency quoted Al-Manar News: The National Alliance and reach a final agreement to take over, "Nuri Kamal al-Maliki," the prime minister exception of the Sadrists, who has expressed reservation on this topic The agency added: "The Liberal bloc" political representative of the Sadrist movement announced that its reservation to give al-Maliki as prime minister and confirmed that it would not vote him into parliament and will not leave until the National Alliance remains the biggest bloc, and that it would respect the decision of its components, The source said the agreement text in its final form to take on al-Maliki as prime minister, and Hussein al-Shahristani, first deputy president of the republic, as you will block the citizen to the post of Deputy Speaker of Parliament, which will be assigned to Sheikh Hamoudi, and Deputy Prime Minister Bayan Jabr, Minister of Oil Ibrahim Bahr al-Ulum that gives the Liberal bloc ministries of service , In a related development, the source confirmed that the Kurdistan Alliance resolve the issue of its candidate for the presidency and was nominated Dr. Necmettin cream, as nominated by the "Union of the national forces," Salem al-Jubouri for the presidency of the parliament.

Another report essentially saying the same.....

Moussawi: There is a big admissibility within the National Alliance to take on al-Maliki for a third term and will not affect the current objection
Jul. 2, 2014
Former MP for the coalition of state law, Salman al-Moussawi, on Tuesday, that there is a big admissibility within the National Alliance to take over al-Maliki as prime minister for a third term, indicating that the change of prime minister at this time meant to go to a dark tunnel. Moussawi said that "the National Alliance met more than a meeting, and I think that there is a great take on the admissibility of Mr. al-Maliki for prime minister, especially at this critical juncture." Al-Moussawi said that "the change of prime minister at this time meant to go to a dark tunnel especially since we are at war with terrorism, and any change in this important position, a commander of the armed forces will be to have a negative impact." He continued, "It is true that there are some objections by the Sadrist movement, but this will not affect due to the presence of enough votes." The National Alliance approved, on Monday, to be prime minister of a coalition of state law maturity as a bloc winning the largest number of seats in the National Alliance

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki

Nearly 80 percent of Iraqi Shias approve Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s administration of state affairs, a poll shows as Takfiri militants continue atrocities in the country.

The survey, conducted by the American Gallup research institute, also showed that 54 percent of respondents in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, favor Maliki’s handling of his job as prime minister.

The results of the poll, conducted May 20 to June 5, are based on telephone interviews with 1,007 Iraqi adults, aged 15 and older.

Moreover, 53 percent of the Shia interviewees said they trust in Iraq’s central government. The trust rate stands at 44 percent in Baghdad, 43 percent in Sunni regions and 40 percent in Kurdish regions.

Maliki is bidding for a third term, despite stiff opposition from his key rivals. He has rejected recent calls by the United States and its allies to form an emergency administration or a so-called national salvation government in the country.

The Iraqi premier has recently said that a salvation government would amount to a coup against the country’s constitution and would undermine the results of parliamentary elections held on April 30.

Iraqi armed forces have been engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists from the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), who have overrun parts of Iraq since last month.

The Iraqi prime minister has said that his government remains steadfast in defeating the Takfiri militants, blaming Saudi Arabia, Qatar and some other Arab states of the Persian Gulf region for the growing terrorism in his country.

Looks like all the articles are saying the same thing.. with the last article  being essentially a repeat of the one I posted early this morning....and the candidate list is bearing out..

Maliki: Prime Minister (w/exception of Sadrists, though liberal bloc of such will respect this)

Hussein al-Shahristani: First Deputy President of Republic

Sheikh Hamoudi: Deputy Speaker of Parliment

Bayan Jabr: Deputy Prime Minister

Bahr al-Ulum Minister of Oil

Dr. Necmettin: President

Salem al-Jubouri: Speaker of Parliment (thought first name was spelled different, but this is the name noted in this report)

I think this announcement kind of got buried when my  post got merged with this earlier one.....

since none of the above are kurds or sunni it seems unlikely that this is an accurate "list".  this sounds more like maliki's "wish list"

If this were possible true, then for sure Kurdistan will be independent of Iraq.   But, I don't buy this.  Sadr is not the only one, and Hakim is not even mentioned, and it would be unwise to believe he has no political influence.

Ain't buying this.  Need it set in stone, not to mention the coup maliki is declaring against the national.  So how does that work?
