OK, now that we have this thing going with who has been on this ride the longest, let's see now where everyone got theirs from? Local Haji shops in country, banks there, banks here, internet, friends, ebay, etc?

   I got mine through a certified dealer here in the U.S.and had it delivered via Fedex right to the door. Many of the people I worked with at Al Asad would buy it from the local Haji shops and then go buy a stack of greeting cards, stuff a few bills inside and mail them home. Some would tuck them in their luggage and take it home on R&R. Both of those scenarios were ones I personally didn't trust, so I opted for the safer and legal way. How about you?

Got mine from a local shop in Kirkuk.  One of our interpreters had family that was a jeweler and he agreed to it. Shipped it home in one of my duffel bags. Just had to declare it on the packing list.

My first batch came from a friend of mine that introduced me into this investment he got them from a dealer, then after that I started buying them straight from the dealers.

1st lot in Kuwait in 2003 then smuggled some more in my pants from Iraq in 2005 as you were not allowed to bring it out of the country at that time. eBay (uk) Tesco's bank and this week from the US some site called newiraqidina.com.

theres nothing illegal about bringing currency home. i believe its only if its over 10k and for resale do you have to fill out all those forms.
