Iraq is seeking to modernize its relations with Qatar, under the leadership of "Tamim" and hoped to reconsider the policy of "Hamad"

TUESDAY, JUNE 25, 2013 17:00

Twilight News / by the former Iraqi regime's invasion of Kuwait in the early nineties of the last century, Baghdad had strong ties with the countries of the oil-rich Arab Gulf.

tameem.jpgAnd those countries supported Iraq and supported with money during the eight years of grinding war with Iran in the eighties of the last century, but that equation changed with the feet of the regime of former President Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait and the Declaration annexed to Iraq in 1990.

The relationship turned into what looks like hostility between the two sides after they sensed their countries, including Qatar ambitions Iraqi regime بالتمدد the like.

Qatar had no leading role in the regional politics of the region such as the day of the play a pivotal role in the thorny issues, some believe that the largest of the small size of the country rich and the largest gas exporter in the world.

And after the overthrow of Saddam's regime in 2003 at the hands of the American-led international forces remained cautiously watching the Gulf states for years to form the Iraqi state and the new leadership of the country before you begin these countries to establish relations with Baghdad in a row despite the instability of that relationship over the past years.

The Iraqi government, wary of a possible role for Qatar and other Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia to support Islamist groups in Iraq and the influence on the decisions that concern the country.

With announcement of the Amiri Diwan in Qatar, the ruler, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani handed over power to Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the eyes are once again to the emirate, which despite its small size and lack of نفوسها are playing a major role in the trajectory of events in the region بشبكاتها media Almtanaslh and their impact on the movements of the Arab peoples in the so-called Arab Spring.

Sheikh Hamad delivered a speech, on Tuesday morning announcing the change, he said, that "the time has come for a new generation receives the reins of power."

The face of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his coalition of state law on more than one occasion the finger at the State of Qatar to work on the threat to the security of the country and support the demonstrations since last December.

In contrast Qatar accused the Iraqi government of marginalizing the year in the country, which was considered by Baghdad as interference in its affairs.

It is no secret Iraqis associated with Maliki's coalition satisfaction with the line to change the leadership of the State of Qatar.

And showed the leadership of the coalition of state law, Khalid al-Asadi optimistic about pay, son of the Emir of Qatar came to power in the country as a successor to his father, calling on the new emir to "openness" to Iraq and build a "new" state in the region.

Asadi said in an interview for "Twilight News", "We hope to contribute to a change in the presidency of the State of Qatar in the development of relations between the two countries, and contribute to develop new industry for Qatar in the region, unlike what it was during the last term."

The visit sparked last year by former Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi sentenced to death to Qatar enraged the Iraqi government.

"We hope that the opening of the new leadership on the international situation and the Arab positively, especially on the situation in Iraq," and expressed optimism that "the results of the change will be reflected positively on Iraq."

The Prince Hamad had removed his father from power in 1995, and led since that time the process of changing, witnessed a turning diameter of the Emirate of small player effectively on the international stage after he invested the proceeds of oil and gas major in major projects in Qatar and abroad.

According to estimates by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the individual country has the highest proportion of income in the world, and reinforced Qatar in the era of the rule of Sheikh Hamad cooperation with the United States, which has become a large military base near the capital, Doha.

And while crossing a lot of the region's rulers feared, which could come by the "Arab Spring", but Prince Hamad was one of the most prominent supporters of the uprisings in the Arab region.

Qatar had an important role in toppling the Libyan regime as it continues to provide weapons to the Syrian opposition months ago to topple the Syrian regime.

if iraq is going to do something like this .. it should be done in a court of law .. not aggressivly with military .. this is showing iraq is going in the right direction .. even if they are proven wrong . but if proven correct in a court of law it sends a strong message to other leaders  who may be state sponcers of terrorism that iraq will use  the rule of law  and knows how to use it .

Imagine that, Iraq starting crap again.  It's in the sand of the middle east.  I get so sick of them saying brothers in Islam and then kill each other because of Islam.  Something seriously wrong with that picture.

Big shot maliki will probably whisked away by the interpol police before Iraq lets off one firework.  (i know, wishful thinking)

well now we have both sides of the story .. i guess we will see if iraq can present any evidence to support its claims ..if the us had evidence that a country was using terrorist bombings in our country we all know we wouldnt be taking them to a court .. iraq is saying they want him brought before a court . ..to me this not  how we handle this in the us .. we bomb the crap out of them //

isnt the us doing that in syria .. supporting the armed groups in the country of syria .. and didnt they do that in  libya ?

now if they were supporting armed groups in the us what would we do ?

iraq has to show evidence to  the International Tribunal on the ruler of Qatar  before they would supeona him to  the court.

who knows what information they got out of some of those terrorists they arrested ..

they must have evidence .. i dont think they picked them out of a hat and picked him to be someone who did this  just to cause problems .

This planet is so screwed up. The screw up is layered like an onion. Countries, its leaders, and its brinkmanship towards others, it's just astonishing how this planet is governed, especially by the UN which should be sent packing OUT of the USA. Banks & the " other " societies.

Man oh man, the times we live in . . . .

This will go on forever in this part of the world.  It is sad, but a reality.  The best we can hope for is that the common citizens, much like all of us, get some security and we get some greed satisfied and a return on our investments.  I know the word "greed" might sound harsh, but to be honest, greed is what got me into this investment to assist with financial security.
