  1. Hi JMW, I appreciate your comments. Please forgive my ignorance on this, but could Iraq change their monetary policy -- fiat, floating -- if they wanted to? It seems to me that, given their resources, Iraq would be better off as a fiat currency and float. I know I've heard that on this forum before but never really understood it. Would it not benefit Iraq to float their currency? Thanks for your layperson responses; much appreciated. If they could/did change their policy, would that then change your opinion on the RD/RV scenario? I respect all of you here, so anyone who can respond is very much appreciated. Kimberlye
  2. Wow, this is exciting; we have a star amongst us. Way to go, Alex. I look forward to watching. Kimberye
  3. Would somone please remind me who Brad is? Having a major brain fart. Kimberlye
  4. Plus 1. You took the words right out of my mouth. Everyone has a choice to click or not to click, so don't click. Kimberlye Hi Hot in AZ, I have to disagree with you. I think posting the crap over here actually helps the new investors. If they read the threads from the guru posts, they will quickly find out, from our experience, that it's the same ole crap day in and day out, and maybe, just maybe, they won't spend their kid's lunch money on dinar. Just sayin.... Have a great evening, Kimberlye
  5. There was another article the other day stating the Kurds were wondering if their amendments would be taken into consideration. After I read that, I had a feeling that's what would delay the vote. It seems at this moment, it is the finance committee, but it could also as easily have been the Kurds. Don't be surprised if it does not get held up again, because these people just can't get along long enough to get anything done. The good news is the squabbling now "might" speed up the process when they finally do vote on the budget. And those sources indicated that most of the differences and problems are being solved in order to speed up is to vote on the financial budget. Read more: Happy Sunday evening, Kimberlye
  6. So my mother and her three remaining sisters can retire and live the ramaining years of their life stress free while traveling the world together.
  7. Do you think there is any reason to be concerned about the ability to get your money transferred from Warka to the U.S. after the RV? Thank you
  8. I'm glad to hear all is good. Are any of you concerned about being able to transfer your money to U.S. after the RV? I'm starting to get a bit concerned about having my money in Warka. Thanks, Kimberlye
  9. Why would Iraq keep posting duplicate articles over and over again? They have been doing this for years now. Even if now it is supposed to be to "educate" the citizens, they don't seem to get more descriptive as they go along. It's always the same thing, and seemingly cryptic, even to the Iraqi citizen. If I were an Iraqi citizen, I think I would be even more confused by these duplicate articles. I just can't think of any reason to keep posting the same thing over and over and over. If it were to educate, I can sure think of a lot better ways to do it. Happy Saturday, Kimberlye
  10. Nawty, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I too look forward to your future posts. Happy Saturday, Kimberlye
  11. Joe, I am so very, very sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to you and your family. I wish I knew the right words to ease your pain; although, I know from experience that there are no words. Your faith and love with carry you through this. Kim
  12. Zig, thank you for apologing, I appreciate it very much. I honestly do enjoy your posts and hope that we can be friends. I will continue to stick up for respectful debates and discussions, though. I do respect you and your opinion as well. MAGGIE, you my friend brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for such kind words, you made my day. I'm a sensitive brat, LOL. You reminded me of a time when I truly enjoyed this site. I still do but I just get frustrated sometimes, like all of us. I still believe we have some awesome people on this site. Sparky, thanks for thinking of me for Velentine's day, very thoughtful. Thank you to my friends at DV for letting me voice my opinion freely. P.S. I broke my leg a week ago, so give me some slack....
  13. That's actually funny to me. When I first came on this site, I thought it was the best site out there -- and I've been in this for years and know the other sites. After a few months of being on the site, I was going to become a VIP, not strictly for knowledge that Adam could give to me, but because I was so impressed by the fact that people didn't get attacked for simply stating a differing opinions and I wanted to support the site, plain and simple. Well, as of late, you cannot state an opinion on this site that doesn't have "go rv" in it. I still believe it's the best site out there, considering what's out there, but I rarely post anymore. If and when I decide this isn't the board for me, then I'll be gone just like so many others before me. And what's that saying you-all say "don't let the door hit you...." Got it. thanks. Very sad day
  14. Yes, you do discuss articles on top of the page and that's great. The problem is if someone doesn't agree with what you-all say it means, then you attack them. If a question is asked that could somehow thwart what your opinion is, then they are attacked. That is not a discussion by any stretch. I'm not asking for your permission to come to this site and/or post my opinion. Again, you disagree and tell me to go away. I wasn't attacking anyone and I was not rude. You just proved my point.
  15. Thanks, Sonny, for speaking up. It's getting pretty bad on this site now. I went back and read JayP's posts in this thread and he did not attack anyone and his posts were polite, as in other threads where he has posted. He simply has an opinion that others disagree with so they taunt him so he'll go away. It's worked with a lot of great, knowledgeable posters that could have contributed greatly to this site. Good debates are being replaced with "Go RV" or go away. Unbelievable.
  16. Dinari, I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. I wish I had a solution for you, but I don't. I have my money in Warka as well and this does concern me now. It seems that others have not had problems so far because they were depositing money rather than closing out an account. I feel stuck right now because if I close my account then I have to re-buy my dinar at the going rate and I'm not willing to do that. I'm going to be watching your thread to see if you get any resolution to this problem. Would you please keep us updated. I would think others that have their money in Warka would be concerned as well. Again, I'm sorry and I truly hope you get this handled to your satisfaction, Have you tried calling them yet? I would think that would be your next stop, right? Good evening, Kimberlye
  17. I could be way off base, but it seems to me that a few of the "delete the zeros" articles, including this one, seem to be saying that if they delete the zeros from the currency that there is a chance for money laundering, etc., and it is very expensive for printing the new currency, etc., so it would be a better idea to raise the value "through the restructuring of economic sectors and the diversity of its infrastructure in order to strengthen the national economy and then the currency." Read more: I read this as a slow rise in the value of the currency rather than deleting the zeros, which, IMO, is really good for us. I realize it's just an opinion, but I've seen this in other articles as well. I'm certainly not the smartest M&M on DV, but I'd rather have a slow rise without deleting the zeros. Good evening, Kimberlye
  18. JayP, Thank you for having the courage to speak up about the "delete the zero" articles. I believe many have stopped posting because of this very topic and the bashing they received for posting these very thoughts. IMO, a healthy discussion about our investment is much more helpful to us than the constant bashing that goes on here when someone does not agree with one's post. It can be misleading to readers when they see "delete the zeros" and are then made to believe it's a good thing for us when, in reality, it does not seem to be. Yes, there are many opinions on what exactly that phrase means, but both sides of the debate should be allowed and accepted so investors can educate themselves on the subject. I also do not believe that conversations like this should be sent to the "lop" section because, as an example, this conversation is discussing a particular news article. I for one appreciate your comments and agree with all your posts in this thread 100 percent. Good evening, Kimberlye
  19. Thanks for sharing, TQ. These are my favorite rumors. Happy Friday, Kimberlye

  21. PattyAngel, thank you for posting. My prayers and thoughts go out to this family. Kim
  22. OldCoach, That is a great attitude to have with this investment. Don't get caught up in the hype and you'll be just fine. This is a fun site with a lot of knowledgeable, caring people. Now, remember, this is just my opinion, but even a U.S. bank employee does not know, and will not know, when/if the Iraqi dinar is going to RV. Through the years of being in this investment, It seems to me that a lot of the bank employees have no idea even what a dinar is. If they do know what it is, they don't seem to be up on the current events in Iraq so, therefore, couldn't possibly know what's going to happen as far as their currency. When and if this thing hits, I think they will be just as surprised as us. If you remember not to drink the Kool-aid (listen to the gurus), you will be just fine. I look forward to your future posts. Oh, and BTW, if the Chase bank friend ever gives you any information on the dinar, keep us posted. Always love a good bank story. Have a great evening, Kimberlye
  23. I can't breathe......... I can't speak......... my heart aches ........... RodandStaff, my prayers tonight are for that young soldier you are speaking of, and his family. TexasGranny, thank you for posting. Kimberlye
