This WHOLE post has been nothing but NEGATIVE ATTACKS on users of this forum. You may be 39 years of age, but your acting like school yard bully. Sounds like you should spend more time with your wife and children than looking into dinar related posts. How much of YOUR FAMILIES TIME did you waste in posting this Blog? Iraq's economy is growing, this much is true. I wonder why the rate of exchange has not gotten better, instead it has been staying at the same 1168/1 rate for years. what it seems they are doing is they make more dinars as its value goes up to keep the exchange rate at the 1168/1 rate. they then sell the dinar to us investors in other countries. so basically they get our money interest free while we hold on to their toilet paper. and when they are ready they will RD which will screw us further simply because we will have to sell the dinars we have now back to them within a certain time frame. Since banks don't want to mess with dinars any more, my guess is we will have to sell back to Ali or someone such as that and probably at a severely chopped rate if they will buy them at all. so in the end for all our troubles, we will get ultimately screwed. On a side note.**** I am not being positive OR negative here... I am being realistic. big difference. There are so many NEW people getting in this game with pie in the sky dreams, and all this "staying positive crap is only helping the newbies make bad financial decisions. someone needs to be responsible here. tag me with negs if you like. Why would the dealers sell their personal stash if its going to RV for way more than he is selling it for?

the odd thing with this investment is the amount of novice investors. I would venture to say that for a good number of us, this is our first true investment. and with that many novice investors, etiquette is surely lack luster. I know all the obvious BS posts get on your nerves, and they do me as well. But the owner of this site has stated time and time again that he will allow people the freedom to post as they see fit( so long as it is in good taste and not offensive or racist) I for one agree with his policy... but with that comes the potential for people to post lies. The best advice I can give you is learn to laugh at these people,and be glad that they are not your children....

It seems alot of the "guru's" have been coming up MIA these past few days. One would think that there would be alot of opinions would be out there.

I am in Iraq right now. I have spoke to a few friends here at JBB (Anaconda) they havent said anything new has happened yet, though they do have a hightened since that something is soon to come. lets hope something happens soon and that that something is GREAT.

It does make since that certain websites would be offline to have any updates implaminted. Lets hope everthing works out for us, and its to our advantage.

The way I am reading it, it goes like this... 1000 dinar notes that are on the streets now will buy say, a loaf of bread in Iraq. the government of Iraq intends to RD which means that they are going to remove the 3 extra zero's from the bill making a 1000 dinar bill (that has an exchange rate of .00085) the same as the new 1 dinar bill (that will have an exchange rate of .85) the new bill will have 3 zero's removed and the exchange rate will have 3 zero's removed. so the "Value" of the bill has not changed at all. The old 1000 dinar bill that would buy a loaf of bread, is the same as the new 1dinar bill and will also be able to buy the same loaf of bread.

basicaly the Iraqi that goes to the store to buy bread, curry, rice, milk, and some chicken to make dinner and has a few 25k notes to do it with, and it RV's on the way to the store,.. when she go there she could buy the whole store and a new truck to bring dinner home with.
