Again 2013 will be when the Rd takes place but if something will happen now like they are saying i can think of the dinar RVing. The CBI wants an RD the GOI doesnt at this time and doesnt see it benefiting themselves along with the citizens which i believe in reality themselves because i can bet many of those in the parliamnet and in the GOI hold vast amounts of dinar and when this does finally RV most of them will be very wealthy IMO.

You are right it is from July. However, there must be something going on with the citizens of Iraq. What are they doing? Preparing for cash out.

It sounds like they are hording Dollars, so when they change the currency they can buy lower denoms with the stockpiled Dollars and ride the value up from there.

This, and other articles came out after the flurry of 3 zero articles following the Jume 19 meeting of Shabibi and Maliki.

The traders took advantage of the citizens concerns, and started buying Dinar using dollars; then selling back to the banks for a profit.

it is just like every other instance of the possibility of a currency changing value; some one is going to capitalize on the uncertainty, while others lose due to not understanding the options.

The Iraqi citizens seem to be willing to take losses to get rid of Dinars in exchange for dollars.

I don't think the citizens have any anticipation that it is going to increase in value; otherwise they would be selling dollars at a discount and buying dinar.

All we have to do is look at ourselves to see what the expectations led us to do. I don't know of anyone that purchased from a currency trader at face value; or any currency trader that is interested in hoarding dinar.

The ones that bought in country, or at a small spread from the banks are in much better shape than the ones who purchased from online currency traders.

In every case, someone profited from manipulating the emotions of others.....

Here is what I think, we can read these articles, and read into them what we can understand, but what are the Iraqi people doing? What are they hearing?

I have read posts, another site mentioned back in July, the vendors apply their prices for their products as if the 3 zero's have already been removed. So 25,000 dinar is 25 dollars, is that true? He also mentioned they were pulling in the 25,000 dinar. We cannot see what is going on there, you have the eyes and ears to give us what they are doing?

Although the article does not lean in this direction...I can imagine people in the green zone using the US dollar to buy and stockpile Dinars, which they could then turn around later and cash in at a huge profit after the RV. Remember.... the people in the green zone are outsiders, and prolly very well connected, compared to the average Iraqi. The article does seem to hint at an equally or somewhat parrallel unwanted event going on.

I still have my mind set on 2 to 3 years for this to RV. I hope that I am wrong, but the Iraqis have shown an amazing ability to not finish things they've started with any degree of speed. Just my opinion.

Maliki, stop whinning. You found that website and you will probably find ours. Too bad, it's inevitible you will have to RV. Your running out of time. Now you got all the DV's down and I won't have it.

Let's not take too much into this ppl. Talabani give the 1/3 power to Allawi and be done with it. Maliki will get over it once he stops trying to dictate all the affairs of Iraq and get on with this RV. Some of the folks here are getting real tired of the crap.
