Does anyone think it is a bit odd that the Arab Banking big-wigs meet in Rome to discuss banking? Considering how close the Vatican and Rome are does anyone else think the Pope might have had a hand in this or still does?

Not saying they are controlling anything...but they will certainly make money on this, just like most countries will.

There was a specific interest of the Italian Gov't about this in order to strenghten contacts with those Countries participating at the meeting as the stake is big.hey're already doing business satisfactorily with those Partners and want to increase the activities as Islamic Banking is very attractve.

Have you been able find anything in your news about it ?????? I have to believe Shabibi talked about Iraq's future economy... Trying to find info out about this anyway I can ... Thanks

HMMM umbertino----yes I agree that the Italian government wants to sponser this ---the vatican to a very much smaller thought but must be in the picture for thier followers- christain end is very minor as they WARED and killed the Moslems for centuries but they must take an interest-the goverment wants the BIG BUCKS like ours does also---
